Willkommen zur neuen Ausgabe von Chip & Charge dieses Mal das dritte Daily aus Wimbledon. Gauff sorgt für Aufsehen Andreas und Philipp fangen mit der 15-jährigen Cori Gauff an, die am Mittwoch abermals gegen eine arrivierte Gegnerin gewinnen konnte. Dabei überzeugte Gauff mit ihrem kompletten Spiel, sie manövrierte Rybarikova mit soliden Schlägen über den Court 1. Natürlich sind Prognosen über die Zukunft, besonders in diesem Alter, schwer. Doch das war ein sehr überzeugender Auftritt der jungen US-Amerikanerin. Sie trifft nun auf Polona Hercog, die überraschend klar gegen Madison Keys gewann. Keys und Wimbledon scheint einfach nicht zu passen. Ein mit Spannung erwartetes Match für die dritte Runde ist jenes zwischen Simona Halep und Victoria Azarenka. Denis has always been one of my favorite players to root for because he is from Arlington, Virginia, which is very close to where I'm from (Maryland), and also because he is a very down to Earth guy.  I first met and interviewed Denis at the Citi Open last month after he and Frances Tiafoe played a doubles match (two in the same day actually).  Denis wore a Washington Capitals shirt, which has been the pride of DC for their championship win (and one of my favorite hats to wear).  Denis was kind enough to make some time to speak with me while he was in New York preparing for the U.S. Open.  You'll hear Denis talk about his tennis career from the beginning, how he trained as a junior at the Junior Tennis Champions Center (JTCC), why he has always prioritized fitness, and how he bounced back from the lowest point of his career. Frank Stäbler mit der Goldmedaille und  Denis Kudla mit Silber haben für einen Traumstart der deutschen Ringer bei der WM in Paris gesorgt. Erstmals seit 23 Jahren hatten wieder zwei deutsche Ringer zeitgleich in einem WM-Finale gestanden und Stäbler schrieb obendrein auch noch Geschichte: Als erster deutscher Ringer konnte er damit Weltmeistertitel in zwei unterschiedlichen Gewichtsklassen erringen. Vor zwei Jahren in der 66kg-Klasse, in diesem Jahr in der 71kg-Klasse. Er zeigte in sechs Kämpfen gegen hochklassige Gegner, was in ihm steckt. Und auch Denis Kudla brillierte - auch wenn im Finale der Türke Metehan Basar dann doch leicht überlegen war.
