This video is a comprehensive guide to understanding and optimizing MRI parameters for the best image quality Video Chapters:Introduction [0:00 - 1:00]Opening of the topic and the guest, Matt.Understanding TR (Repetition Time) [1:01 - 10:00]Explanation of TR and its impact on T1 contrast in the image.Discuss the importance of finding the "sweet spot" for TR to achieve the best image quality.Understanding TE (Echo Time) [10:01 - 20:00]Explanation of TE and its role in controlling T2 contrast.Discussion on how a higher TE will result in more signal loss, affecting the contrast.Understanding TI (Inversion Time) [20:01 - 30:00]Explanation of TI and its role in an inversion recovery sequence.Discussion on how TI is used to nullify the signal from certain tissues, enhancing the contrast between different tissues.Understanding ETL (Echo Train Length) [30:01 - 40:00]Explanation of ETL and its role in a fast spin echo sequence.Discussion on how a longer ETL can speed up the scan but may also result in more image blurring.Understanding Flip Angle [40:01 - 50:00]Explanation of the flip angle and its role in MRI.Discussion on how the flip angle can affect the contrast and signal-to-noise ratio of the image.Understanding Diffusion Weighted Imaging [50:01 - 60:00]Discussion on the role of the B value in diffusion-weighted imaging.Explanation of how a higher B value will result in more diffusion weighting, but also more noise in the image.Understanding Phase Contrast Imaging [60:01 - 70:00]Discussion on the role of the VENC (Velocity Encoding) value in phase contrast imaging.Explanation of how the VENC value needs to be adjusted based on the velocity of the flow being imaged to avoid aliasing artifacts. Conclusion [70:01 - End]Recap of the main points discussed in the video.Closing remarks and end of the video. This video covers key MRI parameters including TR, TE, TI, ETL, and Flip Angle. We also delve into the intricacies of Diffusion Weighted Imaging and Phase Contrast Imaging.Whether you're an MRI professional or a student in the field, this video is a valuable resource for enhancing your understanding of MRI parameters and their impact on image quality.Connect with us:For more informative videos on MRI and related topics, subscribe to our channel and turn on notifications. Season One of The Elgin Watchman podcast is almost over, but there are still a few loose ends to tie-up. Loose ends such as the December 2022 Elgin Sustainability Commission meeting. So, this episode is unlike any other 2022 episode. Tia is on sabbatical. Erik was out-of-state and couldn't attend the December meeting. So, Franklin Ramirez did The Elgin Watchman a "solid favor" by agreeing to attend the meeting and allow Erik to interview him after the fact.Did we mention that Frankin's 16-year-old nephew -- Trey -- joined us in the podcast studio and provided "color commentary". Again, this was a very unique and interesting podcast episode. In fact, it was kinda cool to have a Generation Z individual sharing their observations and commentary.Overall, meeting topics discussed included: Elgin Robotics Club; grant report for Sherman Hospital compost structure; grant report for Eastside Neighborhood Community Garden; volunteer recruitment consultant proposals; 2023 project budgets; commissioner term limits; and public power project. For more information about the Elgin Robotics Club and their upcoming competition at Elgin Community College, please go to The Elgin Watchman Facebook page. For more information, please visit our website, LIKE our Facebook page, and subscribe to our podcast using one of the many RSS Readers on our Buzzsprout podcast platform. Check out the Video ---> Spatial Resolution: https://youtu.be/_rtqLdWvK2IMatt helps to describe the concept of spatial resolution in MRI terms. In MRI, spatial resolution is defined by the size of the imaging voxels. Since voxels are three-dimensional rectangular solids, the resolution is frequently different in the three different directions. The size of the voxel and therefore the resolution depends on matrix size, the field-of-view, and the slice thickness.Resolution is the ability of the human eyes to distinguish one structure from another. In MRI the resolution is determined by the number of pixels in a specified FOV. The higher the image resolution, the better the small pathologies can be diagnosed. Resolution is directly proportional to the number of pixels (The higher the number of pixels the greater the resolution). The pixel size can be calculated by dividing the field of view by the matrix size Thanks for joining us here in Zone 3! Make sure to Like and Subscribe. Antonio José Martínez Palacios was one of the most promising composers of early twentieth-century Spain. From his humble beginnings as a musical prodigy from the provincial capital of Burgos, the composer (known as Antonio José) won praise for his choral works and orchestral pieces, drawing inspiration from his native Castile. But as a proponent of education and Republican values in a deeply conservative town, Antonio José was murdered by a Falange militia at the beginning of the Civil War in an execution that has been compared to that of poet Federico García Lorca. For some 40 years, the Franco regime banned performances of Antonio José’s music, but his oeuvre has been rediscovered in recent decades. In this episode, Robert Long, a musician and a professor of history at Elgin Community College, traces the life, death, silencing and recuperation of this composer through listening to and analyzing several selections of Antonio José’s music. We begin with the second movement (Balada: Lento y apasionado) of his Suite ingenua (1928).
