Here's a confession. This week, I did what you're not supposed to - at least if you don't want predictive algorithms to, well, predict better. After I finished my YouTube yoga, a suggested video was queued up, a ten minute motivational speech. I clicked 'Play' and it was phenomenal. So maybe AI knows me better than I know myself because I needed that speech, it rippled through me, so much so that I watched it a second time, then a third and took notes. This episode is the impact crater. My experiment to change fear into love.After meditation, I was drawn back to an old book I love, Angels and Awakening by Julie Jancius, a course slash workbook on how to connect with angels. I completed this course over two years ago, but as I read through the passages in the present, redoing the exercises in the margins, I saw the words in a different way, not better or worse, just, well the best way I can describe it is like watching a movie after you've read the novel. Deeper, maybe is the right word?Julie Jancius requires that her students commit to a whole month of being in Oneness before they go further. Oneness is being connected to the all. It's the opposite of duality: me versus you, us versus them, you get the idea. Take a deep breath with me. Breathe in fresh air down to your toes. Feel it swirl through your veins as it collects all that smoky, sticky energy that does not serve you. Now exhale. You may even cough for a few seconds afterwards. 2023 is teaching us to put ourselves first. Like the advisement we receive from airplane flight crews, it's critically important we take a breath from the metaphorical oxygen mask first before we assist anyone else. That's the lesson we have to learn, and master this year. Self-care comes first. I mention this, because I am STILL recovering from a flu I got in December. If I do too much, forget to drink water or rest when my body is screaming to stop, then the illness tries to come back. Even knowing this, I slip up. I forget myself. Take myself for granted. No angel embodies this better than Archangel Uriel. Haven't heard of him? I hope after this episode you fall in love with this essential celestial being.Uriel's nameWell known to Russian Orthodox faithful, Uriel's name translated to, “God is my flame.”In the Gnostic book, the Secret Book of John, written by Zebadee's son, and James' brother, Uriel is said to be placed in charge of demons. He is the third angel named in the Testament of Solomon.  He is mentioned in the Second Book of Esdras, found in biblical apocrypha in which Ezra asks God a slew of questions and Uriel is sent by God to instruct him. In the Christian apocryphal gospels Uriel and his role differ depending on the source. In one, Uriel was critically important in the rescue of Jesus' cousin John the Baptist from the Massacre of the Innocents ordered by King Herod. He carries John and his mother Saint Elizabeth to join the Holy Family after their Flight into Egypt. Their reunion is depicted in Leonardo da Vinci's Virgin of the Rocks.If you haven't seen this da Vinci painting, do a web search. It will be familiar. I had a plan for this week, but then received a divine intervention. Two angels came forward in my morning minutes. And if you know anything about me by now, it's that I listen when the angels tell me something. Alright, so full disclosure, this episode had a second intervention. I was going to focus this episode on Archangel Metatron. As I was wrapping up the outline and gearing up to record, I was hit with a feeling that this should be a joint episode on the Archangel brothers, Metatron and Sandalphon. It's a natural, so I spent another half-day adding deeper research about the second of those archangels. THEN I had a dream. And that my dear listener is where I have to begin this episode.
