Do you have a hard time turning work off and tuning into your own needs? Do you think that failure is NOT an option? How attached to praise are you? Meet Nicole, a hard charging, energetic and successful sales leader who would work 14-hour days to win praise. Today's woman was raised in an environment where others were like her. She wasn't fully aware of gender and other such barriers until she went to college. She also had a mom that always told her she could do anything she put her mind to. And she believed her. So, in college she began to explore what life might offer. She spent a semester at sea exploring 12 countries. She studied abroad and worked for a firm that provided services to fast-growing companies that wanted to establish subsidiaries and hire employees in dozens of countries. And she began to envision what might be possible. She decided to disrupt the way companies hired international talent by creating a platform that would act as a bridge across the world. Today her company continues to grow and fill a critical global need. It is my pleasure to introduce a woman on her way to greatness – Nicole Sahin.

Today's woman was lucky enough to have a college professor lead her toward a career she absolutely loved - public relations. And she was good at it no matter who she worked for. Her reputation as being one of the best began to build and clients started to ask for her. Then one day her boss told her that it was impossible to combine happy customers and happy employees in the same space…something she was striving for and valued deep inside. This was her catalyst for change. She left working for others and started her own company. Fast forward to today and you will find she has created the perfect formula that keeps employees happy while growing a solid customer base. And in this space of balancing customers and employees, she is building a successful company while walking a path to greatness. It is my pleasure to introduce you to Nicole Rodrigues.

I mean that with every fiber of my being. I met Nicole when she and I were in a group coaching program together with Jenna Kutcher. I enlisted Nicole to work on a project for Blush and was immediately intrigued by her genuine desire to see the project succeed and her uncanny ability to get inside my head and extract my thoughts into perfectly polished tag-lines and website copy. I remember I kept saying to her…how did you get THAT from what I said??? In March 2020, Nicole’s branding business was only 4 months old and was in the very beginning stages of growth. But when the pandemic hit, Nicole took this as her time to double down on her messaging, marketing, social presence and networking and in the last 4 months she has been turning out 5 figure sales consistently. In this episode Nicole talks about the importance of personal brand and while most of us would think that you only need a personal brand if you are in the influencer/coaching/educator/speaking arena, Nicole explains that EVERYONE needs to have a clear personal brand…even employees! Because customers like to do business with people they know and your story is your connection point. Nicole drops more than a dozen golden nuggets in this episode (literally I couldn’t write fast enough to keep up so thankfully I could re-listen to the recording) but one of my very favorites is that if people wanted to buy from a brand they would buy from a big brand. They buy from small business because they relate to your story. They relate to who you are and what your message is. Friends, please don’t miss this episode. If you’re multi-tasking during this one, you’ll need to hit pause a LOT because there are just so many take aways! Nicole also has a special treat for all of my listeners! Taboo Topics is a website (tabootopics.com), YouTube channel (YouTube.com/tabootopics), and community. Nicole Anderson created these digital venues with the intent of bringing people together to discuss hard issues -- the topics that usually aren’t talked about in polite society. Nicole grew up in a loving, secular family. Her first taste of religion came about at the age of 12 with friends following a discussion of evolution in science class. Nicole became a believer shortly there after and remained so until the age of 22. At that time she dove into some in depth research regarding christianity and what it was she believed to be true. Her faith swiftly unraveled. Nicole, through her aforementioned social media presence, is bringing the difficult conversations to the surface. I am excited to introduce to you a young woman who has found her voice and is using it to change the world -- one video, one blog, one post -- at a time.Enjoy the conversation!
