Most families in the US do some form of combination feeding, using bottles and frequently breast pumps. The sheer volume of new pumps, bottles, and other feeding supplies is enough to overwhelm most IBCLC's. To stay current on new equipment means either many hours researching, or taking a course from someone who did all the research and work already. Jeanette Mesite Frem is known in the world of lactation to be that person. Jeanette has spent years specializing in all things pumping and bottle feeding, has nearly every breast pump and bottle, and can explain all the pros and cons of each! Listen as Katie Oshita and Jeanette Mesite Frem discuss Jeanett'es deep dive into pumping, her soon-to-be-released study on flange fitting, and what the FITS acronym means in the lactation world.Podcast guest: Jeanette Mesite Frem, MHS, IBCLC, RLC, CCE is an experienced childbirth educator, IBCLC-lactation consultant and retired birth doula. She started her career working with families while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa in the early 90s. She loved that work so much she went on to receive a public health masters degree from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, focusing her studies on nutrition for maternal and child health. Her two children were breastfed for more than 2 years each and Jeanette has experience pumping at work for both children and has supported thousands of families with feeding and pumping over the last 20 years.Jeanette provides prenatal childbirth and breastfeeding classes at her office in Northborough, Massachusetts, as well as providing virtual and office feeding consultations. She also enjoys leading workshops and speaking at conferences for lactation and perinatal health professionals and mentoring those who work with families. A Massachusetts law school says it's guilty of accidentally sending acceptance emails to thousands of former and current applicants. The Northeastern University School of Law in a statement blamed a “technical error” for the glitch, saying the erroneous emails went to more than 200 people who applied for admission starting next fall, as well as to nearly 4,000 former applicants, some of whom are already enrolled. “The School of Law quickly sent a clarifying email explaining the error. Individual outreach is also taking place to applicants with concerns,” the Boston school said. Final admissions decisions will not be made until later in the academic year. “The School of Law deeply regrets this unintended mistake and is taking steps to ensure that it will not happen in the future,” the school said. Lakisha Papoutsakis, a single mother from Northborough, Massachusetts, who received the acceptance email, told NBC10 Boston that she has dreamed of going to law school since she was a child. She shared the good news with her loved ones before noticing the follow-up email. “I was like, ‘Oh my God this is so amazing,' and then it was like, ‘Oh no, sorry, April Fool's Day,'” she said. This fall's law school class has 234 members out of 3,877 applicants, according to Northeastern's website. This article was provided by The Associated Press.

Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com Since creating Law Abiding Biker™ Media about 8 years ago, I have had the opportunity to meet so many awesome bikers within the motorcycle community. This community is so giving and has helped us so much along the way. There are so many unique backgrounds and life stories within the community. I love interviewing bikers and sharing their stories and experiences as I did so in this episode. I had the pleasure of interviewing Patron Member Terry McDonough of Medford, Oregon. We had such a good time that we split the conversation into a two-part podcast series, so make sure you listen to part 1 and part 2 in order, so it all makes sense. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE Terry is another great example of the supportive biker community that surrounds Law Abiding Biker™ Media. He supports us financially as a Patron Member so we can continue to help, educate, entertain, and inspire as many bikes as we can worldwide. There are many benefits to becoming a Patron Member and one of them is being able to attend ride and meetup events, such as Terry did in Sturgis this year. Terry has some unique skills having worked with sheet metal for years. He asked me why I hadn't put sheet metal tops on the workbenches in the Law Abiding Biker Shop. He noticed in the videos on our YouTube channel that we have wood tops. During our conversation, he offered to shape and create sheet metal tops for the workbenches and I was humbled by the offer, to say the least. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! So, this fall Terry came all the way up from Medford, Oregon to Yakima, Washington where the Law Abiding Biker Media Shop and Studio are located. This is a 7 hr drive and he simply measured the workbenches but we got to hang out and talk. Weeks later, I drove to Medford, Oregon to Terry's sheet metalworking shop and filmed the process of him bending and creating the bench tops. I will be releasing a full documentary film on the entire process, so make sure you're subscribed to the YouTube Channel, so you know when it releases. Last, Terry drove back up to the shop with the metal workbench tops and installed them. Wow, they look great! And this was all donated by Terry. I'm am so grateful and humbled by his kindness. Of course, while I had him in the studio, we sat down and did a couple of podcast episodes. Not only is Terry good with sheet metal but he has a ton of experience with motorcycles. And he shares some unique experiences he's had while working in Antarctica. NEW FREE VIDEO RELEASED: RickRak GoPro Fork Mount For Harley Davidson 2014 to Present Sponsor-Ciro 3D CLICK HERE! The concept of “niching down” in your private practice is one we frequently discuss on STC. With that discussion come the questions about being specific enough---or maybe too specific. Is there such a thing? Today’s conversation is with someone who has wisdom to share from her own practice journey, which includes building a practice focused on treating self-harm in teens. Bess Child, LICSW, practices in Northborough, Massachusetts. She shares what she has learned on her journey to private practice and how she decided to work with teens who struggle with self-harm. We also discuss the marketing mistakes that some clinicians make, where she focuses her energy in terms of referrals, and how she employs out-of-the-box thinking to market her services. Three Algonquin High seniors joined Tommy Cassell on this episode. The trio of Tomahawks are accomplished athletes, but the reason why they were in studio was not to talk sports -- really -- but to talk about talking about sports. Josh Harmon, Jon Symons and Nick Hatton are the hosts of "Unscripted." It's a weekly sports show with "the most hot takes." The T-Hawk super fans chatted with Tommy about their shtick before taking over the podcast entirely at the end of the podcast. Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com This is part one of my podcast interview with Ray “Izod” Lubesky, the International President of the Iron Legacy Motorcycle Club. Ray Lubesky was one of the founding members of the Iron Order MC, but is now with the Iron Legacy MC. Lubeksy says he was expelled from the Iron Order MC along with other members over disagreements in the club's direction. At that point, Lubesky and others started the Iron Legacy Motorcycle Club which now has chapters in the United States and abroad. Of course, the Iron Order Motorcycle Club still exists under new leadership. Past Interview with Lubesky when he was with the Iron Order MC: Episode #65-Iron Order Motorcycle Club-Official Podcast Interrogation-Part 1 of 2 Episode #64-Iron Order Motorcycle Club-Official Podcast Interrogation-Part 2 of 2 We dive deep into everything you need to know about this club. The Iron Legacy claims to be a law abiding club and I can find no credible evidence to the contrary. The Iron Legacy MC is not a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC) nor do they claim such. They do have law enforcement members along with many other members from different walks of like. I ask Lubesky the tough questions in this interview as there is controversy that surrounds him and the Iron Legacy MC, which was also the case when he was with the Iron Order MC. You will definitely want to listen in on both podcast episodes dedicated to this interview. You won't hear an interview like this on any other motorcycle/biker podcast out there. The Iron Order is a very large international motorcycle club. Like all law-abiding biker clubs should do, they refuse to follow the “Confederation of Clubs” (COC) rules. The COC has no authority over free members of the motorcycling community. They have no authority over anyone unless you willfully let them control you. For the most part, only the criminal biker community gives them any attention. Criminal bikers make up far less than 1% of all bikers/motorcyclists on the road. Instead, the Iron Legacy is a part of the Alliance of Motorcycle Clubs, which is for law-abiding biker clubs. The Alliance was created to promote fellowship and networking amongst law-abiding biker clubs. There is no fee to belong to The Alliance, but there is an MOU. About the Iron Legacy MC: Taken from their website: On July 4, 2004 several men gathered in a garage in Indiana to found a unique law abiding club that was beholden to none. That club grew to become a huge family of brothers that paved the way for others to follow. In 2015 many of these brothers decided to start a new club to continue the Legacy of those founding principles and beliefs established in 2004. Our oaths to those founding principles and that club are intact, honored and followed to the letter as we carry that torch with us to this honorable endeavor of perseverance and continuance before those very ideals are lost to change forever. This is our opportunity to reignite the old school, traditional heritage of MC’s from the 50’s and early 60’s, following those traditions and close brotherhood all clubs seek. Our history is built on those premises established 14 years ago and we're starting our 15th year as Iron Legacy MC. Not a new beginning, but a return to the origins we swore our allegiance to that brought us together years ago with new horizons. Official website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com Podcast-In this episode we talk about a YouTube video that was being passed around recently by some click bait channel called "Company Man". The title of that video reads "The Problem Facing Harley-Davidson" and the description reads "Harley-Davidson is the biggest name in motorcycles...but they've seen better days. This video discusses the big problem they are facing." and nothing more. No, I'm not linking to that video as it's clearly biased. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE! We won't completely trash the video or the creator as it at least brings up some points for discussion, so thanks for that. Be careful with channels like this as we can't confirm the guy who made this video even rides or is involved in the motorcycle industry at all. He just took a bunch of video clips he got elsewhere online and made a voiceover with different information he found. He's likely not even qualified to speak about this issue. We think it's mostly hype about Harley-Davidson having any sort of substantial problems and we don't think they have any more than they always have. Many articles are floating around the internet on this subject, very few being credible. This has been going on for a long time and of course, Harley-Davidson is the longtime leader in the United States. Many competitors want them to go down and so this sort of propaganda floats around. That happens to every big leading company, regardless of the industry. CHECK OUT OUR HUNDREDS OF FREE HELPFUL VIDEOS ON OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL AND SUBSCRIBE! We really break it down in this episode, so you'll have to listen in to find out the truths and of course our opinions. Yes, because we are actual bikers and involved in the biker industry, unlike the creator of that particular video. I'm not biased. Heck, I'd be the first to tell you if I believed Harley had any new or major issues. With that said, Harley has been changing and trying new things for some time and they'll need to continue to be very progressive to stay relevant or they will face serious problems. Clearly, Harley knows they have to step up their game and change with the times. They have several other manufacturers biting at their heels and trying to get a piece of the pie. They also discussed what it is like to have three separate players nearly average 20 points per game, who's the ball hog, who can dunk, and what it was like to play on the same AAU basketball team. Cassell’s Corner Each week, Tommy Cassell of the MetroWest Daily and Milford Daily News will talk with a high school sports figure from the MetroWest and Milford areas. Austin was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma PTLD in April 2017. This is a rare, aggressive form of Burkitt lymphoma which results from the immunosuppression that is required following an organ transplant. In 2011, when Austin was 3 years old, he had a severe E.coli complication called hemolytic uremic syndrome which led to kidney failure, so he underwent a kidney transplant. Austin recovered from the successful transplant and had been doing well for a few years, but in April 2017, he began to complain of pain from urinating. The pain was so severe he collapsed at school. Austin's parents, Ben and Cortney, rushed him to the hospital and insisted that he have scans done – the scans revealed a baseball-sized mass near his bladder and another mass in his liver. Further testing and a biopsy determined that Austin had developed Burkitt lymphoma PTLD as result of his earlier liver transplant. Austin's family was moving from LA to Boston at the same time he was diagnosed, so they decided to pursue treatment at Dana-Farber. Austin then had 4 rounds of intense chemotherapy, including 8 lumbar punctures, and had to be hospitalized for each round. Between the beginning of May through the first week of July, he spent more than 50 days in the hospital – but Austin just completed treatment. Cortney says that their family is very grateful for the Dana-Farber treatment team's swift, smart and strategic treatment plan for Austin. They couldn't imagine a better place for him to be treated than Dana-Farber, which is one of the only hospitals with PTLD specialists. Austin attends Lincoln Street Elementary and enjoys Pokémon, baseball, and Minecraft. Austin recently met Brock Holt during Brock's visit to the Jimmy Fund Clinic –they sent a selfie to Dustin Pedroia, Austin's favorite Red Sox player! His family includes his mom Cortney, dad Ben, sister Emma, 9, and brother Henry, 3.

There was an article in last Sundayâ??s MetroWest Daily News, written by Zachary Comeau, titled â??Towns struggle to track missing waterâ??. The article highlighted 13 MetroWest towns throughout Massachusetts (Ashland, Medway, Hopkinton, Bellingham, Framingham, Holliston, Milford, Sudbury, Franklin, Hopedale, Natick, Southborough, & Northborough) and their trouble with water that is unaccounted for. According to the Department of Environmental Protectionâ??s water conservation standards, 10% is the maximum threshold of unaccounted water for any one community. Out of the 13 towns, Ashland was the worst of the group with 28% of unaccounted water, while Northborough was the lightest offender with only 5% of its water unaccounted for. The other towns who were above the 10% threshold were Milford (14%), Holliston (15%), Framingham (19%), Bellingham (20%), and Medway (22%). In this podcast, Rich talks about how infrastructure issues lead to unaccounted water and how it can affect you, the homeowner.

For those who remember him, Mark Fidrych is still that player who brings a smile to your face, the irresistibly likable pitcher whose sudden rise brightened the season of 1976 and reminded us of the pure joy of the game. Lanky, mop-topped, and nicknamed for his resemblance to Big Bird on Sesame Street, Fidrych exploded onto the national stage during the Bicentennial summer as a rookie with the Detroit Tigers. He won over fans nationwide with his wildly endearing antics such as talking to the ball -- and throwing back the ones that “had hits in them;” getting down on his knees to “manicure” the mound of any cleat marks; and shaking hands with just about everyone from teammates to groundskeepers to cops during and after games. Female fans tried to obtain locks of his hair from his barber and even named babies after him. But The Bird was no mere sideshow. The non-roster invitee to spring training that year quickly emerged as one of the best pitchers in the game. Meanwhile, his boyish enthusiasm, his famously modest lifestyle, and his refusal to sign with an agent during the days of labor disputes and free agency made him a fan favorite. A rare player who transcended pop culture, Fidrych was named starting pitcher in the All-Star Game as a rookie (the first of his two All-Star nods) and became the first athlete to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Baseball researcher Doug Wilson delivers the first biography of this once-in-a-lifetime player. Through extensive interviews and meticulous research, the author recounts Fidrych’s meteoric rise from Northborough, Massachusetts to the big leagues, his heartbreaking fall after injuries, his comeback attempts with the Tigers and in the Red Sox system, and one unforgettable night when The Bird pitched a swan song for the Pawtucket Red Sox against future star Dave Righetti in a game that remains part of local folklore. Finally, Wilson captures Fidrych’s post-baseball life and his roles in the community, tragically culminating with his death in a freak accident at the age of 54. Listen in -- as we celebrate The Bird: The Life and Legacy of Mark Fidrych...
