Her new book is How to Break Up with Your Friends.Friends hold an especially valuable role for women—few relationships have such power to fuel us and inspire our joy. Raw & Real with Dr Lisa  Addiction is the overarching big tent for this topic, but it's really about the compulsion, what you have to do and can't stop thinking about. Maybe it's bread, maybe it's over eating. Maybe it's overworking, maybe it's overspending. What is it that you know that's obligating you to be the person/persona you know deep down you are not? And what could you choose today beyond Addiction? YES, your Choice will create the space of what you desire to create. No matter how many hours, minutes, days or years ago you chose you, the space of you, you keep going and choosing every moment. You keep celebrating every minute, every second as a milestone because that's what it is! And I have invited one of the kindest people I know, Brendon Watt, to join me for a Raw & Real conversation about this topic that I'm sure will make a HUGE shift for everyone! Just one last thing. Someone told me some years ago for the first time something that changed the game for me, and I keep spreading the word: if no one told you that they love you today, I do. Brendon Watt lives with an outrageous demand for an ever-expanding life and a tenacious desire to change the world. He is a speaker and leading facilitator for Access Consciousness, a set of life-changing techniques and tools and currently facilitated in more than 175 countries. Growing up, Brendon recognized the ‘difference' in himself, yet spent decades on a quest to conform to the norm and failed miserably. He ended broke and unhappy, living as a single dad in a tiny room in his mother's home with his four-year-old child, knowing there had to be something greater he asked for change. It was soon after this that, he discovered the pragmatic tools of Access Consciousness and made the choice to change his life for the better. He is now known for his intense kindness and empowers others to know they are not wrong, that anything is possible, and that they are just one choice away from change. He has been featured on Fox TV, Channel 9, Aspiring Gentleman, Pick The Brain and is co-author of bestselling book Relationship, Are You Sure You Want One? with Simone Milasas. https://www.brendonwatt.com/   Dr. Lisa's Book: Creating After Abuse Purchase here Amazon.com www.drlisacooney.com   *Listen now on the Inspired Choices Network app!  https://linktr.ee/inspiredchoicesnetwork ~ More About Raw & Real with Dr Lisa ~  Dr Lisa Cooney is a Doctor of Psychology and Licensed Therapist with 25 years' experience.  She is a bestselling Author and the creator of the ROAR™ (Radically Orgasmic Alive Reality) methodology to move beyond abuse & trauma. Where Do You Hang Your Hammock?: Finding Peace of Mind While You Write, Publish, and Promote Your Book by Bella Mahaya CarterIn Where Do You Hang Your Hammock? seasoned coach and author Bella Mahaya Carter shows writers how to use their present circumstances as stepping-stones to a successful and meaningful writing life, navigated from the inside out. It encourages writers and authors to rethink their ambitions (which may be fueled by the tyrannical demands of the ego) and trust in their heartfelt purpose and values in the journey to becoming, or continuing on, as authors. Many writers believe their self-sabotaging thoughts are trustworthy and true. They take rejection personally. They surmise that if they don't achieve their goals they have failed, and lose sight of who they are and what matters most. This book is for writers looking for inspiration and for authors daunted by the publishing process, who might lack the requisite author platform to get published the way they dreamed, or whose careers may not be unfolding as expected. It aims to be the friend and trusted expert writers turn to when hijacked by their own thinking. Anxiety and anxiety symptoms can amp up or bring to the surface some of those embedded thoughts.   Those thoughts can pop up as you watch a video. A car racing down the street. A song that brings up a memory. Or it is 1:57pm and you got a way to go before the end of the day.   You are whipping on yourself that working, doing, being isn't enough. You feel mediocre or less than you think you should be. Sometimes a bunch of commercials try to reinforce that statement.    "Just buy Cranko and you will feel or live better."    The iceberg belief can add fuel to your anxiety about a situation. That may or may not be true.    In this episode, a definition of a self-limiting thought, some examples and a few resources to ponder.   If you need support contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, the Trevor Project at 1-866-488-7386 or text “START” to 741-741. In this podcast, I talk about SETTING GOALS YOU CAN ACHIEVE with Erin Falconer, the editor-in-chief and co-owner of PickTheBrain. We may attempt to make many goals in our lives but may find ourselves often discouraged that we aren't able to (1) achieve them or (2) stick to them without giving up. From Erin's own success with creating PickTheBrain, which Forbes has named one of the "Top 100 Most Influential Sites for Women," she gives her insights into how she achieved her goals and what factors to keep in mind for achieving yours too. QUESTIONS ASKED IN THE PODCAST: 1. Why should we set goals? 2. Are goals really achievable? How can I transition from goals being something real in my life versus just a pipe dream? 3. What are some common bad habits and/or mistakes you see that prevent people from achieving their goals or making "bad goals"? 4. How can I stay motivated to reach my long term goals when they seem hard or almost impossible? 5. How can I stay focused when I have many goals I'm working on at the same time? 6. What is the most important thing to do in goal setting? What are the important markers I should hit when setting goals to guarantee success? 7. How can our audience get connected to you?

Erin Falconer, @erinfalconer, isn't kidding when she says her journey has been unpredictable. With a resume that boasts graduating from Oxford, becoming a screenplay writer in LA, doing stand-up comedy, and acting as a political consultant, Erin found her calling in self-improvement.  Originally, Erin was to attend Law School, but felt that she was being pulled in a different direction. As fate would have it, her writing resonated with the masses, and she now finds herself managing two successful blogs and now has a total of over 1,000,000 people in her following! Erin currently serves as the Co-owner and Editor-in-Chief of PickTheBrain, a website dedicated to self improvement, with a focus on personal productivity, motivation, and self education. Erin is also the the co-founder of LeafTv, a modern lifestyle resource website for women. She describes it as a "Martha Stewart 'How to' for millennials. LeafTV is comprised of hundreds of videos with informative 'How-Tos" that cover topics such as How to Chop and Onion or how to Wallpaper Your Bathroom. Together Erin and her partner, Geri Hirsch, have created over 400 videos. In our conversation, we discuss the role fate has played in her career, what she did to get started, and how you can manage media and how to think of it as a resource and not a stressing matter. I also encourage all of our listeners to be on the lookout for Erin’s book, and to check out PickTheBrain.com. I hope you enjoy.
