First off...I have been having a hard time guys. I have thoughts of quitting some days. I love that I get to share with you guys my insights but some days it feels like it's not worth it. Have you heard about walking in the flesh as a Christian? What about being carnal? I like to call these buzz words in the Christian community. The group I used to fellowship with would talk about this but in a very shallow way: I would apply it the best of my understanding but then realize I was becoming stagnant in their definitions: the way they applied it and told me how to was no longer serving me. When I began to grow up in my own salvation, I realized I needed to look things up for myself or decided what I thought about these things. I began to look words up myself and see how it applied to the scripture. I began to also ask God to show me what these things meant and He began to bring tools and resources into my life that helped deepen my understanding and insight given to me by revelation through the Holy Spirit. What if you confessing your unbelief as a disciple of Christ was a key to casting out demons and healing people of sickness? A lot of Christians tend to shy away from their unbelief like it is sinful. Did you know the disciples also went through periods of unbelief were eventually transformed by Christ because their hearts were open to the ecperience Christ was going to use to convince them of who He was/is? How do we change our minds? Experiences. What if you are withholding yourself from the experiences your very heart needs in order to become transformed and more useful to the kingdom of God? Jesus said we would do even greater things but is the Christian community withholding themselves from this blessing because of how they see unbelief? What is unbelief was the very thing God would use to transform and give his children the ability to cast out demons and heal people? When Ashley Campbell's first child was a toddler, it was happenstance that she ran across an article about a family who devoted a full year to traveling the world. That article seemed to spark the belief in her that one day it might be possible for her family to do the same. At the time, she and her husband, Chris, visited about the possibility and it quickly became an idea they couldn't shake. In fact, their desire seemed to grow. Years passed, their family burgeoned to five children, and so did their savings designated for the trip. Their dream became a reality in June 2022 when her family embarked on 365 days of travel abroad. Have you heard the term pervert before? I have and usually associated the word with it being used in a sexual way: someone was a pervert if they were inappropriate towards the right way. These days it has been hard to define the "right way" because what we have defined with the right way, has been corrupted. Example...a boy is a boy if he has a penis and a girl is a girl is she has a vagina but the times have changed and you can decided that that physical reality is NOT a reality for you. How confusing. I was in Mark 4 this morning reading the Parable of the Sower. The part that caught my attention was, 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises FOR THE WORD'S SAKE (emphasis mine) immediately they stumble. My thought was, why persecution and tribulation for the word's sake.
