It’s such a gentle term, “final resting place”.  Prince Philip will be lowered to his by the time you wake up tomorrow morning. His casket will be privately lowered into a vault in the church floor... after a funeral for family members at which no choirs performed. At a humble service…. a trio will perform the musical selections for the small gathering of family. And besides...  England’s had enough music this week. The entire country was shocked by the senseless way BBC Radio 1 made the announcement of Prince Philips death. This is the national radio channel of the UK. Upon who’s microphones King George VI spoke during world war 2. Where Queen Elizabeth mourned the death of Diana. Monday morning they’re playing some headbanger techno music… and all of a sudden a mash up for the ages…  with no warning. You’re getting your groove on cranking on the computer and buzzkill. All of a sudden it's G-d Save the Queen… and this.  BBC Television did it a bit more gently.  The anchor is wearing black.  She looks like she’s been crying.  And now… Prince Philip goes to his final resting place.  Except its not. Governor Andy Cuomo went to the White House hat in hand to beg for the increasing of the SALT deduction (It was unlimited but the law reduced it to 10k per annum). He's looking at a $2.3 billion hole in his budget directly attributable to it. Good luck there. President Trump suggested he look at reducing high taxes, now there's a novel concept.  We mourn the passing of Prince Leonard, who took on the Australian central government when they tried to put his farm out of business. He started the province Hutt River which the government refused to recognize. Once, for three days, he declared war on the state. Hopefully his spirit will carry on and a new generation of Aussies will continue the fight.

Here at The Trap Set, there is no artist that is more loved and admired than Prince—who aside from being THE towering creative genius of his generation—was a phenomenal drummer. Though we never had an opportunity to have Prince on our show, we did have the honor of speaking with one of his closest collaborators and another rhythmic genius—Sheila E. This is a re-broadcast of our conversation from last year. Rest In Peace, Prince. Hope u are “a whole lot better off than the fools u left here.”

Lets start off with RIP PRINCE.  We lost a great talent and great performer.  On Toddy's show of Laughing with Cancer our gust is an award-winning international speaker,bestselling author,industry-leading sales person and not one but two-time cancer survivor.  She has had several books out such as "Not Now I'm Having a No Hair Day" "Our Family Has Cancer Too" and "Cancer has its Privileges:Stories of Hope and Laughter" among others.  She has been featured in several magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens,American Health,Golf Digest and in 2012 she was featured in Breast Cancer Wellness Magazine.  She's appeared on CNN live as "One of the worlds leading authorities on the use of therapeutic humor".  In 1994 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and began a life changing experience turning lemons into lemonade and started her own company called The Cancer Club.  Today that organization is one of the world's largest producer of humorous and helpful products for people with cancer.  In 2013 she was informed that she had cancer again and while going through treatment for her cancer she wrote her book "Laugh til it Heals:Notes from the Worlds Funniest Cancer Mailbox".  Here to tell her story and help us laugh it up is Christine Clifford.
