Viral fame or a fancy degree? Dr. Phil asks the question, is higher education still worth it? Dr. Phil tackles the pressing question facing young Americans and their families: Is higher education worth the cost? As tuition prices soar and student debt hits record highs, with the average federal loan debt over $37,000, alternatives to traditional college are gaining appeal. With a backdrop of a 2023 Wall Street Journal survey revealing 56% of Americans question the value of college, Dr. Phil delves into this seismic shift in career aspirations and the path to fulfilling your dreams. Joining the discussion is Giada, as social media influencer, who says she wants to forgo college, to be a social media "star," instead. Her mother Mindy says she is torn between her daughter continuing on the social media path or whether she should pursue a traditional education. Dr. Aaron Dinin, who teaches social media influencing at Duke University, provides an expert's perspective, alongside Morgan who claims her college degree wasn't worth it, and Dr. Tawanna Gilliard who, while grappling with nearly $400k in medical school debt, debating taking her own life. College and finance expert Debbie Schwartz also weighs in on the evolving American Dream—past college campuses and into the realm of online careers. Todays episode we will be covering the transition of the Cromwell property since the announcement this week came out that that property will be rebranded and operated by the TV Personalties "The Vanderpumps" who have had their hand full with multiple properties around the country and plenty of restaurants as well. Taking on the cromwell and uplifting it's sexiness is already on their minds, But what does this mean for the places that are there today like Giada's and Drai's Nightclub/Dayclub? Will the property close during the transition and how long will it take? What can we expect to be different when it is rebranded but better yet what you can expect when visiting today as we cover every aspect we can think of when it comes to the Cromwell property both good and bad. When redone will it become more of a money maker of caesars? Will it be one the companies busiest properties? With that being said we decided to rank all caesars properties on the Las Vegas strip from best to worst as of 2025. Then we also rank the properties on what we think they will look like 1 year after the transition, So will the property move up on our ranking? Guess you'll have to listen to find out! There's also a mouse update (in light of the Polar Vortex), and Mel shares a great recipe for a dinner party. Mel also has a new nighttime skincare ritual, and it's her turn for Five Favorites. Random Vegas The Sphere has been averaging over $1 million in ticket sales per day. It generated nearly half a billion dollars in revenue for the fiscal year ending June 30th. (LasVegasLocally) TwitPic of the week Talk about things changing but staying the same. This perspective shows us the strip south of the curve in Las Vegas Blvd. Featured prominently is the Mirage marquee. Then, because it's 1994 and Caesars Palace is set back from the strip, and the Dunes site is being prepared for Bellagio construction, we get to see all the way down to Excalibur and the brand-new Luxor. Across the street we see Harrah's while it's still a riverboat called Holiday Casino, then we see LINQ still themed as Imperial Palace. Hilton still owns Flamingo, Bally's still uses MGM Grand's original marquee, and the original Aladdin still exists. Speaking of MGM Grand, in the distance we can see the new MGM Grand and the recently deceased Tropicana. Thanks as always to @Summacorp for sharing this pic. Enjoy this video podcast on Spotify and Youtube! Italian-American award-winning chef and television personality Giada De Laurentiis blazed the path for female celebrity chefs. A pioneer in a still predominately male-dominated industry, Giada followed opportunities that ultimately led to her 21-year stint on The Food Network. As Giada recalls, most of her career was "edited." Wanting to rewrite the script to show a truer version of herself, she decided to get out while she was at the top. Giada launched her lifestyle platform Giadzy to pursue her heart's true calling – entrepreneurship. With Giadzy, Giada showcases her love of Italy while weaving together the stories of each hand-selected product, creating an emotional connection with the consumer and building a community with her new membership program. Despite having faced her own struggles as a female chef and entrepreneur, Giada believes it is essential to enjoy the journey on the path to success. Thanks for listening!
