Could you be more productive? The answer is simply "yes". The fact is there are things in our personal and professional lives that we could be doing differently that could make us more efficient and productive. When we think of productivity so often we think of organization. Yes, organization is important but productivity is more than organization. Sometimes our productivity is affected by our environment, distractions, notifications, having bad habits, an inability to focus, or simply not knowing what tools are available to help us become more productive. Thankfully Productivity Expert and Author Debbie Rosemont joins us on this episode of A New Direction to help you and I with our productivity. As Debbie will point out to us being more productive starts with our "why". That is why do you want to be more productive? What will the end look like? And what is your motivator for productivity, more revenue, retaining your employees, spending more time with family, or just doing some thing you want to do? Debbie Rosemont's book Six-Word Lessons to Be More Productive is one of those practical quick reads that will challenge you and at the same time change you. With 100 lessons, Debbie talks about everything from dealing with clutter, to finding the right paper, to email, to when to have meetings and what the agenda should be. Nikki loves on-air coaching calls, and on this episode of the Sales Maven podcast, she is working with Tracey Warren, a longtime friend, client, and society member. Tracey wants to know how to start a membership from scratch. She wants to have a plan for growing her email list and filling her membership as quickly as possible. Nikki shares some suggestions on things that Tracey can do to build her email list and bring people into her community. Nikki believes that people sign up for content, but they stay for the community, so she suggests starting a beta group for her membership to test the waters and see what is working for the members and what isn’t. “Nobody knows what they are going to do until they get in there and do it.” Tracey is excited to start her membership but is hesitant because she doesn’t know what she wants to do yet. Nikki says that things evolve once you get up and running, but the only way that happens is to get started. Nikki believes that Tracey must have a way to feed new people into the group, and she shares some ways that Tracey can do this. Nikki feels that webinars are a great way to get people interested in your content, and she thinks you should use the same content multiple times because they will always hear something new if they are listening. Tracey says that she has changed the language in all the emails she sends to people because of what she has learned from Nikki and the members of the Sales Maven Society, and that is just one of the benefits of being a member. Are you ready to join? If you find value in this podcast and want to ignite your sales, Nikki invites you to join the Sales Maven Society. This is an opportunity for you and Nikki to work together, you bring your questions, concerns, and sales issues, and she provides answers and guidance to boost your confidence. Lance Carter, 9-time Ironman Triathlete, has been coaching triathletes for over 20 years. After selling his specialty running store, Everyday Athlete, in 2016 Lance went to work at blueseventy where he is now in charge of product design and development for triathlon wetsuits. The mental benefit of exercise is equal if not greater to taking antidepressents. The mental health part of physical health is enormously beneficial. Milestones and Medals along the way There are life lessons that can be pulled into your every day life as you continue to train and race regularly, such as perserverence, determination, and resilience. What has been your greatest Movement Challenges? You sign up for that first race and all you're thinking about is getting to the finish line, but then you cross the finish line and you realize you're not done because there's more you want to do. What has been one of your most memorable Challenges? It's just about how can you make a tiny improvement that, in the end, you will feel good about. It doesn't have to be a complete overhaul. You are just aiming to be a little bit better than you were before. What inspiration do you have for those new to the 80 x 80 Movement? Always have a race on the calendar - something to motivate you intrinsically to get to the next level, whatever that might be for you. What’s your next Challenge for Life? After 25 years of experience selling to such prestigious organizations as The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Hewlett-Packard, and NASA, Nikki Rausch decided to trade in her road warrior status so she could help entrepreneurs sell in a way that builds relationships, creates true connection, and results in more closed deals and long-term clients. Now, as a sales coach, author, speaker and founder of Sales Maven, Nikki transforms the misunderstood process of “selling” into techniques, tools, and tips that can be successfully incorporated into a process replicable by anyone whose livelihood relies on selling a product, a service, or themselves. When she's not helping business owners move their clients along the 'Selling Staircase', Nikki enjoys taking in all the beauty that living in the Pacific Northwest affords her. In this episode, Karen and Nikki discuss: Success Story of Nikki Commit to Get Leads Attracting your leads through introduction - of who you are and what you do - and curiosity – how you answer the questions during the introduction. Consult to Sell Start with your most expensive product, then move to the least, but offer no more than 3 products that fit the clients needs. Make sure to end the conversation with closing language. Connect to Build and Grow Repeat clients are your best leads – they already know and like you! There are often other services that you can provide for customers you have already served. Success Thinking, Activities and Vision Internal state management is crucial to your success – take a minute or two to focus on your mindset before going into meetings or into any moment where you want to be really present.
