Marion Devine, Principal Researcher Human Capital, Europe sits down with Sara Murray to explores the findings of a recent survey on well-being, run in both Europe and the US. One of the significant takeaways from the survey was that employees expect their employers to invest in their well-being - but it's not translating into happier employees. The conversation also highlights the crucial role of the CHRO in building the business case for well-being, and the need for collaboration across the organization to embed it into strategy and culture.

Satan's Startegy 2 Cor 2:11 #Nightlight #RTTBROS 2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. Satanic Strategies 1. Deception. Satan is the father of Lies he uses deception and whispers lies to us all the time. 2. Distraction. He trys to use the cares of this world to keep us focused on anything but God. 3. Division. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places, out real enemy is spiritual not physical. 4. Discouragement. He will do everything in his power to wear you down through prolonged attack. He will attack on multiple fronts all at the same time. Hoping to cause you to quit. Here is a devotion on understanding the strategies or devices of Satan in spiritual warfare written by Max Lucado: > "Satan's strategies are all aimed at trying to kill, steal, and destroy us. Satan hates us. He hates God. His hatred is manifested through his schemes to destroy God's people. Satan will use every tactic possible to get our focus off of the Lord and onto ourselves. One of Satan's greatest tools is deception." > "When we worship, we do what Satan did not do – we place God on the throne. When we pick up the sword of Scripture, we do what Jesus did in the wilderness. He responded to Satan by proclaiming truth. And since Satan has a severe allergy to truth, he left Jesus alone. Satan will not linger long where God is praised and prayers are offered." > "Don't fault the plunging economy or a raging dictator for your anxiety. They're simply tools in Satan's tool kit. We can't understand God's narrative without understanding Satan's strategy." > "God calls the devil by name and promises to defeat him. Be alert to the devil, and be assured his days are numbered." That was also the case with STARTegy, his venture builder for fintechs. Finally, history repeated itself when he co-founded the real estate business Flat. These years in tech entrepreneurship have taught Bernardo valuable lessons on how to make the best use of blue oceans. His learnings go from retaining the best employees to picking the right initiatives to scale. In this episode, Bernardo and I talked about:- How to balance family life and business life, and how to retain top talent in the early days of a startup;- Bernardo's endeavors in e-commerce, fintech, and real estate, and what other opportunities Latin American startup founders will need to seize;- What Bernardo looks for as a startup investor, and the main lessons he shares with founders. My name's Brian Requarth and this is the Latitud Podcast. All wars have elements of attrition in them – like it or not. Battles of attrition are not linear either, they depend – to a large extent – on battlespace geometry. Peter is joined by Dr Jack Watling for one of their monthly chats – this time about attrition, from the 19th Century to today. Their conversation turns covers themes of people, leadership, logistics, casualties, ideation, and time, and how each of these relate to the realities of combat attrition, wars of attrition, and strategies of attrition. And as always, they remind us that the enemy gets a vote too.

Ben Matteucci started a successful marketing agency and is now making it on his own terms. He recently spoke to Gabe about how he navigated his way into entrepreneurship, the reward of planning a successful event, the three E’s of creating quality video content and more, for this episode of Today’s Business Leaders. Finding a Better Way Ben was working his way up in a successful job, but he decided he wanted to be in control of his destiny, so he quit his job and started selling door-to-door. Through this adventure, Ben learned a lot about sales and himself, and this simple act of quitting his job put him on a path towards success. “I was tired of spending my time to make money, so I wasn’t enjoying what I was doing, and there wasn’t really an opportunity for growth. I didn’t want to go to school - I didn’t have any passion for it. I wanted to go and make money the way I wanted to do it, which was selling,” Ben explains. Creating Opportunity While recovering from an accident, Ben was unable to knock on doors, so he had to come up with a new plan to make money. Ben realized his good friend excelled at online sales, while Ben aced in-person sales. This was the start of their business, Zima Marketing. By merging these skills, Ben and his team are able to help businesses promote their brand and grow their businesses. Actionable Advice to Land Clients From the value of targeted advertising and the absolute necessity of having content that resonates with your audience, Ben shares his strategy to land clients. The right ad in front of the right buyer needs the right content to close the deal. Otherwise, the ad will fail. Targeting people is useless if the content isn’t quality. Learn More Learn more about Zima Marketing and get in touch with Ben through email, Instagram, LinkedIn or Facebook. I love running in parks! Not only am I inspired by nature but also by the people around me. For instance, the other day I heard a soccer coach tell his team: “Momentum is Power.” He was teaching them about soccer but I immediately began to apply it to leadership. Before I could finish my thought, I heard him clarify: “Accuracy is greater than power.” By this point, I was thinking, “Wow! Middle school soccer coaches are the best!” Throughout the rest of my run, I kept turning these two points over in my mind. By the end, I had developed three takeaways. This week's 'Year of Expression' breaks down how Momentum, Accuracy, and Power apply to our Leadership! For more info: www.tomearl.com/blog

She also adds in Bonobos’ strategies which are geared towards reaching their customers’ sweet spot, what inspired them to do these and how they transitioned to these models. - The process they went through – from analysis of demand, testing the model to validation of the experience -- to arrive with their solution to put up guide shops for Bonobos customers. - The impact of guide shops in their business in terms of customer acquisition, financials and growth in their e-commerce presence. - Technologies and tools they have used for their guide shops and the positive effects of the usage to the guides and to the business. - Bonobos’ key metrics, how they utilize different channels to personalize customer experience, how their customer journey looks like, and the things that they do not shy away from in the name of customer satisfaction. - Pain points that Dominique see in their organization and the industry in general, the activities she does to identify these points of friction and her approach to close the process -- from receiving of feedback to implementing solutions -- off. - The threshold of feedback to compel their team to move towards initiating action. - How the mobile industry influenced their way of thinking and their company strategies.
