From your host Barbara "Steve Ward (of the High Strangeness Factor) and I bring you a talk about Dogmen, Werewolves, Lycanthropy. Because nothing says holiday cheer like talking about bipedal, possibly shape-shifting paranormal canids. At least, to Steve and I. We start with Dogmen and the Beast of Bray Road, and the investigations and books by the late great Linda Godfrey. She really brought the idea of dogman into public consciousness, especially in the Unite States. After that, Steve tells about UK researcher Paul Sinclair and his documentary Wolf Lands. And of course, we talk about anomalous lights and how they relate to these paranormal bipedal canids. Yep, Anomalous Lights. Dogmen. Werewolves and Lycanthropy. They all go together.

Information provided here has been checked for being a Hoax. It does not seem so. Wiki answers quote this story. An Idol of Lord Vishnu, Kalpa Vigraha, with Shiva and Parvati in it, belonging to the Dwapara Yuga, Carbon dated 26450 years, was with the CIA. The CIA was handed over the Kalpa Vigraha bya Tibetan Monk for Safe Custody and left some instructions. The CIA conducted experiments with the kalpa Vigraha. The CIA conducted some experiments that involved making subjects drink water in which the vigraha was immersed for nine days. Upon monitoring the lives of all the subjects who drank this water it was found that they all lived unusually long lives. Many had crossed the age of 110. It was this astounding discovery, a direct result of the experiments, which made breaking news when retired CIA officials revealed this to the media in 2008 The Water was charged with the idol and individuals from far and wide of the Unite States were given the charged water to drink. The officials , at that time, did not know what to expect. After some time the experiment was discontinued and the records were buried deep in the Vaults of the CIA. The information came out from a Retired CIA officer. The Kalpa Vigraha went missing and at the last count it was reported to be with an employee of IT industry or with a Soft ware professional in Hyderabad , Andhra Pradesh, India. The Kalpa Vigraha of Vishnu. The Kalpa Vigraha is a small crude brass idol weighing about 47.10 gms depicting a deity resembling the Hindu god Shiva kneeling or seated on one knee, a serpant's hood forming a canopy above the head of the idol. In the right hand of the figure was a discus or circular weapon, perhaps the “sudharshan-chakra” of Hindu mythology. Around its neck was a string of beads. The metal formed three “loops” on one side caused by the snake, an arm holding a conch-shell and the discus. It measured about 5.3 cm tall and about 4.7 cms wide, with an oval base 2.5 cms long and 1.7 cms wide. The Kalpa Vigraha idol was reportedly found placed inside this heavy metal-lined wooden chest with a socket-and-pivot hinged lid and an ancient loop-and-rod lock assembly . The chest itself presented a curiosity, as the space within the box was barely 8 X 8 X 8 inches while the timber pieces used to construct all its five sides was about 8 inches thick each! The timber of which the lid of the chest was made also measured about 6 inches in thickness. The teak-wood timber was further protected by a 1-inch thick bronze-like alloy plate on all sides which despite severe external corrosion had preserved the teak-wood of the box to a fair extent. The metal plate appears to have been riveted into the teakwood with nails of some similar metal alloy. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/ramanispodcast/message

In late September, Strong Towns president Chuck Marohn published an article making the “local case for reparations.” Drawing on a detailed study conducted by the economic consulting firm Urban3, Chuck described the long-term fiscal impact of redlining policies in Kansas City, Missouri. He wrote: This difference in margin of error is perhaps the most pernicious aspect of redlining. The people in one neighborhood [chosen for investment] are dealt face cards and aces. Those in the other [redlined] neighborhood get dealt twos and threes. It doesn’t matter how good you are at poker. It’s hard to mess up a winning hand, just like it’s hard to play your way to success when the deck is stacked against you. The economic and social impact isn’t just felt by people who live in formerly redlined neighborhoods. For example, in a single half-square-mile neighborhood, redlining has cost Kansas City $30 million in lost tax revenue. Now multiply that across many such neighborhoods in Kansas City—where more than 50% of the city was “redlined” in the 1930s—and then consider that most towns and cities across the Unite States implemented similar policies. We start to get a clearer sense of the broad economic devastation wrought by decades of disinvestment in poor, predominantly black—though not exclusively black—neighborhoods. Chuck goes further, though. Conversations about reparations often focus on a federal response to redlining—whether it should happen, and what it should look like. But Chuck says that cities shouldn’t wait for the federal government to do something about reparations. There are things towns and cities can do right now, using tools already at their disposal, to begin building last prosperity in disinvested neighborhoods. On this week’s episode of Upzoned, host Abby Kinney—an urban planner in Kansas City—is discussing “The Local Case for Reparations” with the article’s author (and regular cohost) Chuck Marohn, as well as with Joe Minicozzi, principal at Urban3. Abby, Chuck, and Joe talk about Urban3’s data-driven analysis in Kansas City, the policies that have made Kansas City financially fragile, and what it will take to stop the bleeding in disinvested neighborhoods. (It’s less than you might think.) They talk about the high price cities are paying for inaction, and why cities already have the tools they need to make the change they say they want. Then in the Downzone, Abby talks about an upcoming mountain biking trip to Arkansas. Joe recommends a trifecta of books on race, as well as a book on human behavior. And Chuck recommends the newest book by Bob Woodward. Late Congressman John Lewis pushed the United States to live up to its values of equality and freedom for all with emphasis on equality and freedom for African Americans. At age 15 -incredible but true - he was already bracing himself to challenge the system. Lewis was the biblical David who fought and won Goliath (the Government of the Unite States) with many accomplishments in the area of civil rights. He was commonly referred to as the conscience of the Congress. I say, he was more than that - he was the conscience of the nation. We thank and honor you, John Lewis. Let us vote!!!

Dr. Madeira interviews Shawn Needham, R.Pharm about his book - Sickened: How the Government Ruined Healthcare and How to Fix it. Shawn Needham discusses his solutions to the US Federal government being overly involved in our healthcare solutions, which is increasing the costs of healthcare (sickcare) in the USA. Insurance and conventional medical care costs in the Unite States outspend all other developed countries in the world per capita. Yet the USA is still the sickest developed country for consecutive years, and meanwhile other much poorer countries showing far more health than the United States citizens. Happy Friday! The “Caravan of Migrants” continues to grow in Mexico. Last week’s violence during which members of the caravan hurled rocks and bottles across the U.S./Mexican border, striking U.S. Border Patrol agents, several of whom were hit. The mob surged forward attempting to run the border and it has been reported that about 50 such aliens were arrested by the Border Patrol shortly after crossing into the Unite States. Unbelievably, the “leadership” of the Democratic Party vilified the Border Patrol for using teargas to repel the invaders. That reaction by the Democrats predicated my November 26, 2018 FrontPage Magazine article: DEMOCRATS STAND WITH FOREIGN RIOTERSThey challenge the use of teargas by border patrol agents under attack and was the focus of my segmentwhen I was a guest on Fox & Friends First on Nov. 27th. Join Bitches & Money as we dive into . . . a clip show. Really, J.J. Abrams? Sydney doesn't have much going on at SD6 this week, it's all about her being interrogated by her own government, so an essential Alias-ness is gone from these two episodes. The revealed page says that Sydney is a dangerous woman who will render the greatest power unto utter desolation, and because this is the U.S. government we are talking about, the only logical assumption is that it's the Unite States and Sydney is too dangerous to be free. Money mansplains a popular James Bond conspiracy theory- which ties into the Michael Bay movie The Rock, and to our current adventure with Sloane, where a guy who may or may not be a former member of MI6 maniupaltes him into murdering and old friend of his. Francie has a crush on pre-rape Kobe Bryant, Will ran out of milk. Which stands to reason, he lost his haribrush years ago. Also they watch the news together. Things are starting to get hot, and we have some more clues as to what Rambaldi was up to. Join us!
We're back this week to kick off two weeks of nostalgia to a simpler time when the hair was high and the Stroh's flowed freely. 1985 was smack dab in the middle of a rock revolution as the New Wave of British Heavy Metal was being usurped by its American proteges. At the same time, new wave was being kicked to the curb by a bunch of guys wearing women's makeup as the "hair" era was beginning to hit its stride thanks to a change in direction by some Motley guys that were taking over Los Angeles. We kick things off with an import from Japan. Loudness was well into their career in their homeland but were brand-new to the Unite States. We take a listen to a track from the Thunder in the East album. After the ultra-acrimonious breakup of The Eagles, the members of the band worked on solo careers with varying success. Joe Walsh was in the midst of a haze of substance abuse but still managed to release an album in 1985. We hear a clip from The Confessor Anthrax unveiled a new singer in 1985 with Joey Belladonna replacing original vocalist Neil Turbin. The Armed & Dangerous EP was Joey's introduction to the band and we hear his take on a Turbin-era track. An unlikely group that was launched in 1985 was The Power Station. A true 80's supergroup featuring Robert Palmer, the Taylor brothers (Duran Duran), and Tony Thompson (Chic), the band received favorable airplay but was destined to be a part-time project due to the schedules of those involved. We head into break 1 with a clip of their take on a T-Rex classic. Returning from the break, we head to Alcatrazz. Not the prison, the band. The Graham Bonnet-fronted group was without a guitarist by 1985 as Yngwie Malmsteen had moved on to other pastures. Plucking the next hot thing, Steve Vai joined the band and brought a new direction to the group. We take a listen to a song from the Disturbing the Peace album. A band that is always a favorite of us Decibel Geeks is KEEL. Their 1985 album The Right to Rock is still an underrated gem that deserved much more attention than it received. Well-known in Canada as more of a novelty act, Thor released their 5th album in 1985 with Only the Strong but this title-track shows that there was more than meets the eye with this band. One of the early thrash bands that tends to get overlooked is Over Kill. But not on our show. We take a listen to part of their 1985 output from the Feel the Fire album. While heavy metal in the 1980's was usually summed up as "evil" or "dark" in many cases, you couldn't apply that tag to Stryper. Known for their Christian message, Stryper proved that you could have an uplifting message and still rock as this track from the Soldiers Under Command album proves. We return from our 2nd break with a word about a crowdfunding project that is near and dear to our hearts. Hair I Go Again is a documentary that shows a band that split up in 1985 trying to rally back together in hopes of opening for their 80's hard rock heroes. The film has numerous interviews with many DBG-friendly artists and is an interesting take on a DIY project. We'd love to see this move get released and hope you will consider making a donation. There's rewards for each level of donation so what have you got to lose? Check out the trailer below and go HERE to make a donation. June of 1985 was a huge month for hard rock and heavy metal. The ever-underrated Lizzy Borden released their debut album, Love You to Pieces, on 6/1/1985. The shock rocker is celebrating 30 years in the business and this track from that album shows why. Megadeth was still on their way up the ladder in 1985. They garnered additional attention with the release of Killing is My Business....and Business is Good on 6/12/85. It only takes one listen to the track we hear today to see where a good chunk of Metallica's early sound comes from. Motley Crue hit a new level of stardom in June of 1985 with the release of Theatre of Pain. Shooting up to #6 on the Billboard charts, the album went on to go quadruple platinum. We take a listen to a track from the album that features some high-intensity drumming from Tommy Lee. We wrap up our look at the first half of 1985 with a classic guitar-driven track from Ratt's June 13th release of Invasion of Your Privacy. We've got lots more from 1985 coming for ya next week.
