In this episode, we meet with Elizabeth McCall, the Master Distiller of Woodford Reserve, who leads a tasting that feels more like an art class than a lesson in Bourbon. Elizabeth shows us how pairing curated foods with Bourbon releases new flavors. And together, we experience how pairing a few good stories with Bourbon can unlock an unforgettable conversation. Our greatest takeaway? Bourbon is more than a drink — it's a way to explore identity and history. This episode also features the voices and palettes of our dear friend, Cyndi Gatterdam and our Producing Team. We hope you'll enjoy the warm and inviting atmosphere as we share stories over delicious Woodford Reserve Bourbon. Cracking into a fresh bottle of Woodford Reserve Bourbon the apes dive right into the deep end of the $49M judgment against Alex Jones. This is a hard one to get up to speed with due to the mainstream censorship and cancellation of Alex Jones. Looking at the surface and only at Sandy Hook, it's easy to write off Alex Jones as a crackpot - but the apes dig below the surface as usual. How did Alex Jones 'call' the 9/11 attacks on July 25, 2001? Are they really putting stuff in the water to make the frogs gay? Why did everyone act like Alex Jones was a lunatic when he talked about the Owl God Moloch and 'sex island' with Jeffrey Epstein for years? Sure a broken clock is right twice a day, but this feels a bit more. You'll want to grab a cocktail and a comfy spot for this one, the apes don't shy away from discussing the American government's potential willingness to kill its own people. In other words - typical dinner table chat.

On this episode we talked Woodford Reserve Bourbon! Drop a little history, sample and provide tasting notes. There is a learning curve for me with respect to bourbon, but with Dan Brown (a team member at Manistee Beverage) leading the way with this episode I realize I still have much to learn. Dan's knowledge of bourbon shows through in this first of what will sure to me many more episodes about whiskey. Enjoy. Cheers! J. B.
Chris Morris knows whiskey. As the second Master Distiller at the Woodford Reserve Distillery, Chris was an integral character in the development of Woodford Reserve. As head Master Distiller of one of the world's fastest growing bourbons, he spends his days innovating and planning future releases. The mastermind behind Woodford Reserve Double Oaked, Rye, and Master's Collection, Chris knows the keys to making good whiskey are time and patience, but having a sense of good craftsmanship is also a talent that goes a long way.Chris began his career in bourbon in 1976 as a trainee in Brown-Forman's central lab. In 1997, he found himself as an understudy to Lincoln Henderson, Woodford Reserve's Inaugural Master Distiller, who in 2003 Chris succeeded. In the years that followed, Chris was responsible for creating the world's first bourbon finished in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir Barrels. He's also credited with developing the world's first maple barrel; a difficult feat made easier when you command your own cooperage.Join us as we speak with Chris and learn more about his passions and hear many incredible stories!

Herzlich willkommen auf der Cigarrencouch! Howdie Ladies and Gentlemen, YIIIIEEEHAAAAWW! Howdie! Yiiieeeehaaww! Küss´ die Hand. Ade. Shownotes: @mariamacanudo Picture by @treeburn103 Intromusic by @thelastknifefighter with „Satan´s Highway” Intermezzo and Outromusic by Alexander Nakarada with “Apocalypse Blues”

In this episode of Bourbon and Blondes we discuss Woodford Reserve Bourbon and the word Young. We are relatively young, sometimes we feel old. Young means so many things and often times has a negative stigma to it - but you can't let that stop you. Be eager to learn, grow, develop and being young can give you an edge over everyone else. Wether young is your physical lineup in your family, or how you choose to behave, or how you see yourself - you can decide what it means to you, regardless of your physical years. While you listen and sip on the scrumptious Woodford Reserve, think about what YOUNG means to you and let us know !

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a vast bandit / hunting / gambling / sims.. like, kinda game. It is a lot to take it in and it is a lot of video game. Will and Graham try to get into most of it nooks and crannies with the help of the Woodford Reserve Bourbon - a fittingly American whiskey we thought would pair well with Red Dead Redemption.
In this episode, Ryan and Theodore smoke Bahia Connecticut Deluxe cigars and sip Woodford Reserve Bourbon on the rocks, while discussing the best "first firearm" purchase for those just getting into hunting and/or shooting sports. The hosts also take time to explain the process of buying a firearm in the great State of California, and provide listeners with a short recap of this season's Quail Opener!

Your favorite slingers of lusty libations are back with a fine bottle of bourbon! Woodford Reserve to be specific, and there's a lot to say about that. There's also some Booze News regarding some Swedish potty water. It's...interesting.

Strain into a chilled coup glass.Brian’s altered recipe:2 oz Woodford Reserve Bourbon¾ oz Freshly Squeezed Grapefruit Juice¼ oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice1/2 oz Honey Syrup¼ oz of an olo sacrum syrup made with the rinds of the Grapefruit, (recipe below)Take the rinds of the Grapefruit before you squeeze it – peel it with a y-peeler or vegetable peeler. Put in a zip lock bag and add some white sugar. Mix. Seal the bag, removing as much of the air as you can. Let that sit for at least an hour at room temperature. Add a little warm water to dissolve the sugar mixture and strain it. Book of the Week:Bourbon Curious by Fred Minnick. It’s tough to imagine our next guest going to work in tails and pinstripe trousers at Fortnum & Mason in their Wine and Spirits department, and on his gap year no less. Now, in his new role as Global Brand Ambassador for Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Tom Vernon can be a bit more casually dressed. Of course, when he’s rustling up a few Mint Juleps at the Kentucky Derby every year, his glad rags emerge! Tom is no stranger to Woodford Reserve, he’s been their UK Brand Ambassador for five years. Now as Global Brand Ambassador, his playing field has grown bigger. For someone whose first cocktail was a Manhattan, this job is a dream. With Declan McGurk, now Bar Manager of the Savoy Hotel’s American Bar, as a mentor, young Tom was bound for glory. Whilst in Leeds and Manchester, cities that turn out some of the greats in bartending, Tom learned his trade so well that it would eventually bring him right back to where it all started, with the Manhattan and the spirit it can’t do without, Bourbon. Where you can hear me drinking next: Next week, we go on holiday to Portugal, more specifically to Quinta do Lago in the Algarve, home to the luxury resort Four Seasons Fairways. We’ll be joined by the bar staff who showed me the coolest drink made with gin I have ever seen. Are you a regular listener of the Best Sips Worldwide podcast? Jereon’s grandmother came up with a plan - keep making elderflower liqueur and no one in her family could stay away. Needless to say it worked, worked so well that her grandson took up the helm and made all of Belgium want it as well. Little by little, RoomeR has grown from a small cottage industry, selling 200 bottles a month, to now producing over 100,000 bottles a year. Not only does it tastes delicious, but it couldn’t be prettier. Pure white elderflower petals dance around in the golden liqueur within its iconic, test-tube like bottle! Jereon and his partner, Tine, have worked hard to make RoomeR a socially responsible workplace, employing those who might not be able to work otherwise. They are dedicated to making their company as green as possible - no preservatives are used, their boxes and crates are recyclable and the bottles are returnable. With one sip, you are not only part of the RoomeR family, but also helping to change the world! Where you can hear me drinking next: I’ll be spending the American holiday July 4th at Imbibe Live - the UK’s most important drinks conference and what will we be drinking there? Why, Woodford Reserve Bourbon of course! Tom Vernon, their Global Brand Ambassador, is with me on that very independent of holidays to drink that very American of spirits!
