Jeremy comes to us for the first time with his views and experiences raising two young daughters during COVID times.  Discussions of getting some vitamin D, road trips, not living in fear, being consistent, Big Bang Theory, and the Mopar Car Club are touched on during the podcast.  Being intentional during these crazy times was the one thing Jeremey repeated and resonated with me.  Plan something, think outside the box, and executing it was an awesome view.  Something to think about in our dealings with family and COVID times.  Thanks, Jeremy for coming by and hanging.  Definitely have to have him back on the show again.  And, good luck to him in starting his own podcast.  Look for it in the near future?  Here's hope for no type of Megatron COVID!  Enjoy.

Welcome back Marianne to the mic and she has brought along her daughter Valerie.  Valerie homeschools all three of her little ones. She comes to discuss the ins and outs of homeschooling.  I really learned a lot and got rid of a few misconceptions.  It seems that she is right on track with her kiddos schooling.  Discussions of they called my Mom Mr. T, no report cards, communication, the network of the homeschool system, experiencing failure, not everybody can homeschool and hard to work outside the home and homeschool.  Thanks to Marianne for bringing her by.  Hope to have them back to dive into the homeschooling topic a little deeper next time.

Welcome, Rachel to the mic.  We have heard of each other and we have never actually met in person.  She is a person of many hats - a community activist, an active Facebook page called Rachel's Round Table where she talks about voting, customer service, artist, photographers, and a host of other topics and people.   Our discussion starts with elements of the foster care system and transitions into the importance of self-care.  They were both related in some form.  It was great to have her on the show.  What a breath of fresh air and informative simultaneously. I'm looking forward to Rachel's repeat performance on the podcast.

Welcome, Bobby to the mic.  We had a great conversation off the mic that included that he lived in my old hometown of Kansas City, Missouri.  After getting past my love of KC barbeque, we were able to start the discussions of problems with drugs and addicts.  Bobby talked about DARE doesn't work, manipulating different situations into positive outcomes, starting the drug conversation with kids at about age 8 or 9, the ‘jailing' lifestyle, the three ways out of addiction, zero in cold in Kansas City and did you eat the steak and cake before your suicidal thoughts?  One of Bobby's main concentrations is the role of the enabler and how destructive and additive to the addict's plight they can be.  Thanks, Bobby.  I feel that the information was invaluable to people going through or if you know someone who is going through it.  Looking forward to having Bobby back on the show soon.  I know he has many other pearls to share.

It was my pleasure to have Natasja Visser on the mic all the way from South Africa.  She reached out to me from this podcast.  She is a practicing family counselor and life coach.  Natasja specializes in helping parents and their children deal with difficulties with pornography, when and how to tell children about sex and a host of other qualities you'll hear in the show.  We discussed topics of special parts, not private parts, don't preach or overreact, kids' minds as screen savers, and using the right words with a poker face.  Being a very interesting podcast, I feel it is imperative that young parents broach the sex talk quickly and continually.  Natasja definitely changed my mind on that subject and probably will make you think about changing yours too.  Hopefully, we can get her back.  I feel there was much more to discuss.  Thanks, NatasjaBelow is some of Natasja's info.  Please check it out.  Website: www.letsexplain.orgFacebook page: @natasjaletsexplainInstagram: lets_explainYouTube: Lets explain by Natasja Visser

Armando stuck around for another podcast after a fun one on Changing Lanes Above the Neck Podcast (CLANT Episode #043)  Talking about blended families or even dating someone with a child at home brought up quite a few subjects.  We did agree that while raising kids is a huge responsibility, both the parent and the significant other need to be on the same page with expectations and consequences.  As opposed to dating and the white picket fence syndrome (The Pete Factor) the ultimate goal here is getting them on with their life by making them a productive member of society outside of your domicile.  Being the hardest job you will ever love, parenting does not come with an instruction manual and there is a lot of on the job training about what works and what does not.  Just don't give up.  It is worth it in the end.  Thanks Armando.  See ya next time.
