October 1, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 31 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers as they enter their bye week following their win in Dublin, Ireland this past Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. The Steelers lost rookie S Sebastian Castro off their practice squad to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday, so we make sure to hit that news at the beginning of this show. We also go over the Steelers' list of injured players that now includes WR Calvin Austin III and CB Jalen Ramsey and how the team might compensate for not having those two players right after the bye week. Several members of the Steelers' coaching staff met with the media on Tuesday, so Alex and I pick out and discuss the meaningful talking points that came out of those several sessions. We talk about the overarching questions from Tuesday that centered around the offense's yards after the catch totals and short passing game through the first four games of the 2025 regular season. Alex and I look at several passing game stats related to the Steelers' offense through four games and how they share some similarities with what the Kansas City Chiefs did in 2024 on that side of the football. Is a short passing game with a high percentage of YAC sustainable for the Steelers' offense moving forward and especially with that unit only registering 10 explosive plays through four games? We discuss all of that in the middle of this show. We move on to discuss how QB Aaron Rodgers is fitting in with the Steelers so far and how he has handled himself as the team enters their bye week. We also discuss the role and health of rookie QB Will Howard while he is on the Reserve/Injured list. With the All-22 tape from the Week 4 game against the Vikings now fully digested, Alex and I both deliver our additional thoughts from the Steelers' Sunday win in Ireland when it comes to the offense, defense, and special teams. We take a hard look at the Steelers' personnel usage, offensive running scheme, and much more in this segment. We also go over what we viewed as positives and negatives on the defensive side of the football on Sunday against the Vikings. Alex and I make sure to hit on the point of the Steelers being atop the AFC North through Week 4 and how the other three teams in the division have a much bleaker outlook for the near future due to injuries and other situations. We make sure to hit on the quarterback switch the Cleveland Browns are making this week. This 104-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted, and we close things by answering a few emails that we recently received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. It's HUMP DAY and the guys kick things off with America's favorite pastime as the Wildcard gets underway. Tobin shamefully admits he loves him some Mormon Housewives content, and the gang debates whether FSU should be upset about having a Friday game ahead of the big matchup against Miami. Have we watered down the art of rushing the field? Plus, we're thrilled to report that weather reports are officially back at the Windowplex with Leroy. Big news out of Cleveland — the Browns decide to bench Joe Flacco in favor of rookie QB Dillon Gabriel. Meanwhile, how did Aaron Rodgers manage to put himself in the perfect position to win the division? The Cats are back in less than a week — what are they going to look like without Barkov, and will they bring him back in time? Vick Fangio stirs controversy by claiming something's going on with the kicking balls, and the crew remembers the legendary coach who once accused someone of putting helium in the footballs. In our Mixed Bag segment, Erik Spoelstra says he wants the New Yorkers gone, and Napheesa Collier shakes up the WNBA with some blunt exit interview comments about the league commissioner. From Boca Heat training camp, the guys react to news that Terry Rozier is dealing with a hamstring injury, while Barkov is out here hobnobbing with the Heatles. Tobin and Leroy dive into Tyreek Hill's injury and what they expect from Jaylen Waddle in his absence. Spoelstra reveals that Barkov told him he'll only be out 4–5 months — interesting. Then it's time for our favorite Wednesday game: Rats Off a Ship! Is LeBron stirring up drama again? And Tobin gets annoyed that the rest of the crew's rats seem to be on the fence about the Canes blowing out Florida State. News also hits that the Miami Dolphins have officially cut former second-round pick Cam Smith, and the gang reacts to Mike McDaniel's comments on the move. Tobin issues a Minus 1 to the Angels' social team after they post a graphic announcing they're not bringing back Ron Washington — but it looked like he had passed away. We go through the early slate of Wildcard games and give some final thoughts on the Cam Smith decision. Plus, we replay our interview with Bam Adebayo — he gets into not winning DPOY, his frustration, the team's mentality, last season, and what he expects this year. He gives praise to Norman Powell (but not too much), and shares insight on his relationship with Kel'el Ware.

The Colts take their first loss, but did one play decide the game? An impressive game for the Jaguars and more injury concers for the 49ers. September 29, 2025 - Season 16, Episode 30 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning episode, Alex Kozora and I get right to giving our overarching thoughts on the Pittsburgh Steelers' Week 4 Sunday win against the Minnesota Vikings and how impressive and big of a victory it was. Steelers backup QB Skylar Thompson was unfortunately included in the Sunday pregame headlines due to him being mugged in Ireland over the weekend, so we make sure to bring listeners up to date on what is known so far about that incident. As part of our Monday Housekeeping segment, which is brought to you by Touring Plans, Alex and I go over the Steelers' Week 4 inactive list, the practice squad elevation made on Saturday, and the players who sustained injuries in their 24-21 win against the Vikings. As usual, Alex and I recap the Steelers' win against the Vikings. We start on the offensive side of the football and talk about several individual player performances, the big play to WR DK Metcalf for a touchdown, the improved running game, and how QB Aaron Rodgers continues to rely on a short passing game and tons of YAC. Alex and I make sure to dissect the key fourth down and play calls late in the win over the Vikings and how success in those two situations would have made for a more complete win in Ireland on Sunday. As part of our recap of the Steelers' offense from their Week 4 game, Alex and I mix in several key stats and snap counts concerning that unit. We talk about the heavy usage of RB Kenneth Gainwell, TE Darnell Washington, and OL Spencer Anderson, and how all three played well and a big part in the win. The Steelers recorded two takeaways and six sacks on Sunday. We go over the solid performances of several Steelers' defensive players on Sunday and we make sure to highlight the big play that ILB Payton Wilson made late in the game that included him chasing down Vikings WR Jordan Addison after a blown coverage. We discuss pressure opportunities, the third down play of defense and much more. The Steelers' special teams units looked much better overall once again on Sunday against the Vikings, so we make sure to recap that phase of the Week 4 game as well. We spend a little time discussing the blocked field goal attempt by K Chris Boswell in the first half as part of that. After fully recapping the Steelers' road win against the Vikings, Alex and I discuss the Steelers as the head into their bye week. We also make sure to pass along the Monday morning trade that the Cleveland Browns have finalized. This 111-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted, and we close things by answering several few emails that we recently received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. On the Monday episode of the North Shore Drive podcast, presented by FanDuel and Edgar Snyder & Associates, host Adam Bittner welcomes Post-Gazette insider Ray Fittipaldo to react to the Steelers' NFL Week 4 victory against the Minnesota Vikings in Dublin, Ireland. Did coach Mike Tomlin's team establish its desired identity in stopping Jordan Mason and the Vikings running game; getting heave pressure on QB Carson Wentz with T.J. Watt, Nick Herbig, Keeanu Benton, Patrick Queen and others; and achieving success in the running game wit Kaleb Johnson and especially surprise starter Kenneth Gainwell, who filled in admirably for Jaylen Warren? Do we still need to see more from the passing game? Especially TEs Pat Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith after Aaron Rodgers and DK Metcalf seemed to get their connection going on Sunday? And how will this team navigate injuries in the secondary to names like Jalen Ramsey and Joey Porter Jr.? Our duo tackles those questions, plus storylines to watch during the upcoming off week. Where can coordinators Arthur Smith and Teryl Austin make the biggest adjustments? Will the Ravens continue their early struggles? Or will they start making up ground on the Steelers in the AFC North after a brutal early-season schedule? And are the Colts and Jaguars emerging as threats in the AFC?
