This week on Up In Your Business we've combined the Reverend Dr. Chris Keller's 2017 interview, of when he was the Dean of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, in Little Rock, Arkansas, with his more recent interview in 2021 as the author of his book Getting On Toward Home. We chose Dr. Keller's interviews for the obvious reason that it is Holy Week and he is a theologian. But also, because he is a deep thinker, smart, and easy to understand. Through his ministry and life, he has blended scholarly pursuits with pop culture knowledge into an innovative leadership style. I liken him to E.F. Hutton because “When he speaks, people listen.” This is not your typical priest. Tune in to hear his 21st century views on evolution and gay marriage. Annnnnnnnd we are back!!! After a few weeks away due to traveling, recovering from Covid, and generally being disorganized, we have returned to you with another episode of Getting Mouthy. This week, while Nathan and Lucas travel to Charlotte to watch some meaningless basketball footage, the ladies of "the hill" throw a slumber party complete with soiled linens and slut shaming, after Peyton and Anna catch Brooke and Felix mercilessly humping in Haley's bed while Haley was busy laying down tracks with Chris Keller across town. Meanwhile, Karen and Andy are egregiously inappropriate, when Karen hands her professor (and boy toy) Andy her all-nighter paper and he marks it with a big fat A, with absolutely no evidence of ever reading it. Across town, Jules and Keith are giggling, tickling, and drowning in each other's juices all episode long, before taking a big step forward in their relationship. Join us as we discuss every component of this episode that you can possibly imagine. And, if you like us, please leave us a review on Apple Podcasts or just think fondly of us for a few moments. The Last Dance, a touching Sci-Fi love story which was produced with support by DNEG, has recently completed its festival run. It is his most ambitious film to date. In 2015, Chris released his horror short 20 HZ which has been praised for its atmosphere and assured direction. His film Life External won 3rd prize out of 217 submissions at the renowned Sci-Fi London 48hr Film Challenge 2014. The year before, his romantic short Valse garnered numerous awards, most notably Grand Prize at the 2013 Movie Machine Digital Cinema Festival. In 2012, he won the “Million Hits Viral Competition” with a spec beer commercial. In 2016, Chris published a series of carefully designed viral videos showing a giant sea monster in the river Thames that received dozens of millions of views and generated massive hype in the UK's capital. At present, Chris is in post production with his next short (a live action / animation hybrid), and is developing more short, TV and feature scripts to direct in the future. In this Podcast, Allan McKay interviews Chris Keller DNEG's VFX Supervisor and Filmmaker about his work on Foundation, his own short films, the importance of making your own work, the imposter syndrome and how to get out of a creative rut. Tyler James Hilton is an American singer-songwriter and actor. Hilton began his professional career in music in 2000. Rolling Stone magazine compared him to his contemporary, Howie Day, while others have compared Hilton to Elton John, both vocally and instrumentally. Since the release of his debut album, Hilton has ventured into acting, guest starring on The CW's One Tree Hill as the talented but arrogant Chris Keller, and playing the role of Elvis Presley in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk the Line. He also appeared in Taylor Swift's music video "Teardrops on My Guitar" and Gloriana's music video "(Kissed You) Good Night". --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/dadcastco/support
Will Dan let Keith have his happily ever after? And are we in support?! As the Queens realize that the start of Nathan and Haley's relationship mirrors Jules and Keith's, we wonder why we root for certain characters and perhaps not others? As Hilarie, Sophia and Joy discuss Keith, they begin to reminisce about Craig Sheffer. The ladies confirm that just like Barry Corbin and Paul Johansson, he was an amazing mentor, protector, and costar. And Craig is here to join the Drama Queens. The girls have butterflies, and QUESTIONS! For one, how did onscreen enemies Dan and Keith become BFF's IRL? Plus, the name of the game is always (early 2000's) fashion, and Haley's tour style is a-changing! So we must discuss the looks! And the mess Chris Keller keeps trying to make of her life! Last but not least, Peyton and Jake have what may be the steamiest show on OTH to date. And Hilarie, we need to know everything. Should Haley have been AIMing it up with Chris Keller? Plus, what has Hilarie been hiding in a shoe box for all these years? Then, we all know that an OTH without Haley would have been…well…Joyless. Find out why Joy thought she was getting written off the show at this point in the series. As always, style is in full swing this episode from powder blue jeans and pointy toed boots, to skinny brows and flat-ironed flips. Trendy or tragic??
