In this episode, I had the opportunity to sit down with the brilliant Dr. Jade Jette, a pelvic floor therapist whose passion for women's health truly radiates. Our conversation was both enlightening and empowering as we explored a topic that is so often overlooked—pelvic health.Dr. Jade walked me through the anatomy and functions of the pelvic floor in such an accessible and compassionate way. We talked about the common issues so many women quietly struggle with—things like incontinence, pain, and postpartum changes—and how education and awareness can be the first step toward healing.What I loved most was hearing about Jade's personal journey into this field. Her deep sense of purpose and commitment to helping women heal from the inside out was so inspiring. Mieux vaut paraître qu'être, n'en déplaise à Lewis Carroll ?Plusieurs espèces du monde vivant répondrait sans hésiter un grand "oui" à cette question. Parmi eux, Dromia personata (tiens tiens...), une espèce de "crabes-éponge". Comme ce dernier nom l'indique, ce crustacé de 10 cm et originaire des côtes européennes se recouvre d'éponges pour se camoufler, en les découpant avec une précision chirurgicale. Et tout comme le Crabe-décorateur, il accroche ces animaux mous à son corps grâce à des soies adhérentes. L'illusion est à la fois visuelle et olfactive : les "essences" d'éponges savamment choisies par le crabe masquent ses formes comme son odeur !Les spongiaires sélectionnés bénéficient également de ce drôle de mariage. Les crabes servent en effet de taxi (Dromia personata = "celui qui transporte son masque") à ces êtres fixés, qui peuvent ainsi mieux se nourrir et répandre leurs gamètes dans l'océan. Eh oui, même mises en pièces, les éponges restent bel et bien vivantes ! Votre petit devient le soignant, et l'hôpital devient un terrain de découverte.A Jette, ce samedi 24 mai 2025, l'Hôpital Universitaire des Enfants Reine Fabiola deviendra, le temps d'un après-midi, l'Hôpital des Nounours. A un autre moment de l'année, c'est Saint-Luc qui s'y colle avec la Clinique des Nounours.L'événement du 24 mai à l'Hôpital des Enfants de Jette (le seul hôpital belge 100 % dédié aux enfants) est gratuit, mais les places sont limitées. The novel follows Lauren through her journal entries as she is forced from her home and navigates a hostile world ravaged by climate change and social inequality.Show NotesGen has been putting off this book for a long time because it takes place largely in the mid-late 2020s and that felt a little too close to home.Parable of the Sower is the first book in a planned series that Octavia Butler unfortunately didn't have the chance to finish, as she died of a stroke in 2006. The second book is Parable of the Talents, which was published in 1998. The planned third book was to be called Parable of the Trickster.As you can probably guess, a lot of what happens in this book was distressingly familiar.Did Suzanne Collins read Parable of the Sower? Inquiring minds would like to know. There are definitely some common themes with The Hunger Games series.Our next book club selection is Jette's pick, Scorched Grace by Margot Douaihy. Gen and Jette deal with some crazy fights between the James' sisters as Taylor shows up with Quinn's ex-husband. Julian and Alex spend time on set. Brooke turns to Alexander to ease her sadness. Clay joins the James-Scott family for a wild family dinner.

Gen and Jette are shocked at the rift between Haley and Quinn due to Clay's handling of Nathan's contract. Brooke tells Julian how she feels about his friendship with Alex. Skills gets a job in LA. Millie's addiction spirals.
