Last week, the son of Norway’s Crown Princess began facing trial on 38 charges, including rape, abuse, and violent behaviour. In the days before he was due in court, Marius Borg Hoiby was taken into custody on separate charges of threatening someone with a knife and assault. The new charges came days Crown Princess Mette-Marit’s email correspondence with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was made public. In today’s episode, we’ll explain what to know about these two scandals engulfing the Norwegian royal family. The Marius Borg Høiby trial got uglier fast. Prosecutors pressed the Crown Princess's son on whether he drugged a woman ahead of an alleged 2018 assault. Høiby flatly denied it, admitted he knows about drugs like ketamine and could probably obtain them, then tried to brush off eyebrow-raising phone searches including “rape,” telling the court he'd looked up “a lot of weird stuff.”Back in Britain, King Charles was heckled on a walkabout with shouts demanding to know whether he “pressurised the police” to investigate Andrew. The King stayed silent as police removed the heckler and security shifted the route.Plus: Finding Harmony: A King's Vision drops on Prime Video, Andrew's move to Sandringham sparks protests and leaflets, Jon Stewart says nobody ever gets held accountable “except Prince Andrew,” and the latest headlines keep circling the York mess.Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy."Crown and Controversy: Norway" is covering the trial of Marius Borg Høiby as the Norwegian Royal Family is faced with multiple scandals of their own.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.
I'm generally sceptical of conspiracy theories. Call me old fashioned, but I'm pretty sure we landed on the moon. I think 9/11 was al-Qaeda, not an inside job. I think climate change is real. But I've got to admit, I've been captivated by the information released in the Epstein files. And while I still don't think it reveals a coordinated paedophile ring, the trove of information released so far has been far more enlightening than I ever anticipated it would be. Truthfully, I thought it would be a nothing burger. I was wrong. It's not that the files necessarily prove greater illegality. Many people thought the dump would reveal a client list of the global elite: a black book of politicians, billionaires, CEOs, celebs, and royalty who'd committed the most appalling crimes and would be rounded up and brought to justice. So far at least, it doesn't have that. But it has illuminated a web of connections and relationships among the wealthy, connected, and powerful that we might never have known existed. And it is quite extraordinary to see the ways in which power and acquaintances have been leveraged. There are several stand out takeaways for me. First of all, the sheer volume of information. Thousands of videos, hundreds of thousands of photos, millions of messages. Was there anything this guy didn't document? And there are still millions of documents that haven't yet been released. Secondly, the impact the files are having in countries outside the United States. Although they name heaps of big powerful figures in the US, many of whom are closely connected to the President or the Clintons, the blow-back has arguably been curiously stronger in other parts of the World. Overnight, the Crown Princess of Norway has publicly apologised to the King and Queen after her close relationship with Epstein was illuminated. As we go to air, Police in the UK are searching the properties of Peter Mandelson, the man who until a few weeks ago was the UK's Ambassador to the US, and who's one of many people who after initially talking down their relationship with Epstein, has been proven to have been far closer to the man, to have visited him and stayed with him well after this initial convictions. Ariane de Rothschild, the CEO of the Rothschild Swiss bank, previously said she only met Epstein on bank business, but the files suggest a much chummier relationship, Epstein inviting her to stay at his apartment. My third takeaway is that even though nothing illegal is alleged on their behalf, some of the high-profile names associated with Epstein have forever tarnished their reputations through their enduring relationships with him. Bill Gates continuing to communicate with Epstein for years. Noam Chomsky tendering advice to Epstein on surviving a media storm relating to his criminal charges. And of course, the greatest fall from grace outside of Epstein himself, the former Prince Andrew, disgraced, stripped of his titles, and with no realistic path back to respect. The files may not have proved a great conspiracy, but they have been incredibly illuminating. And as I've digested the reporting and analysis, the communications of incredibly powerful people who never imagined their messages would be publicised, I've been reminded of a salient quote. "The measure of a person's character is what they do when no one is watching." See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Norway's royal family faces unprecedented scrutiny as Marius Borg Høiby, the adult son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, appears in court on dozens of serious criminal charges, including multiple rape allegations. Although Høiby holds no royal title, the scale of the case has shaken a monarchy long considered scandal-free, forcing Crown Prince Haakon to publicly distance the institution while emphasizing faith in the rule of law. The trial unfolds amid deep personal strain for the family, including Mette-Marit's worsening health and renewed attention on past links to Jeffrey Epstein.Meanwhile, newly released Epstein emails deliver another damaging chapter for the Duke of York's family, exposing Sarah Ferguson's intimate correspondence, financial appeals, and apparent role in efforts to rehabilitate Epstein's reputation long after his conviction. The emails also reference Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, intensifying the reputational fallout. Together, the stories underline how proximity to power, privilege, and silence continue to collide with accountability across Europe's royal houses.Palace Intrigue is your daily royal family podcast, diving deep into the modern-day drama, power struggles, and scandals shaping the future of the monarchy."Crown and Controversy: Norway" is covering the trial of Marius Borg Høiby as the Norwegian Royal Family is faced with multiple scandals of their own.Check out "Palace Intrigue Presents: King WIlliam" here.

What did that mean for HIDIVE since they had the first two seasons? Absolutely nothing apparently since HIDIVE is still streaming it; Justin gets to talk about his excitement about the Umamusume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era being in theaters at the end of the month; And Helen wonders why ALDNOAH.ZERO is back as Crunchyroll has added the English dub — which includes a new episode that aired in Japan last year — to their service. 46:10: A few anime will be on Netflix this year: Kyoto Animation’s Sparks of Tomorrow (in the summer) and Studio KAI’s Ramparts of Ice (in Spring); 47:05: So there were two anime that aired in Japan last year — April Showers Bring May Flowers and Monster Strike: Deadverse Reloaded — that was not picked up by an official service…until now! It’s still ongoing digitally though. This gets Helen wondering however… 57:48: Sugar Sugar Rune has been added to Tubi…BUT there's a reason why it's in the weird news section! So far not at Tai Chi Chasers level, but… 59:32: Rumiko Takahashi made a trip to San Francisco some time ago (which can probably mean VIZ and her are cooking something) and visited a museum — somehow Bible Black is brought up in this part (Why Helen, just why); Justin wonders if Sazae-san is gearing up to be released overseas moving forward now that it’ll see its first overseas release in Taiwan; Otakon announced on Bluesky on Thursday the event is no longer allowing the sale of fan art in its dealers room beginning with the 2026 event, and Helen explains what this means. 1:05:17: Anime can make famous actors cry — see Michael B. Jordan crying over My Hero Academia — and can have its own category on Jeopardy!. Some adventures feel almost dreamlike—where even in the moment, you know you'll remember every detail. That was Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef for us. After sailing up from Tasmania, we arrived in the tropical north of Australia, where palm trees frame the marina and the Coral Sea glows in every shade of blue. Cairns practically invites adventure, and for us, the Great Barrier Reef was the moment we'd been waiting for. We booked a small-group snorkel trip heading out to Upolu Reef—and what we found there was unforgettable. Vibrant coral, giant clams the size of a loveseat, clownfish, sea turtles… and we were merely visitors in their world. But the adventure didn't end in Cairns. As the sun set and we sailed away, we began a new chapter—five full days at sea. Just us, the Crown Princess with 3000 of our newest friends, and the wide-open ocean… while a Category 4 cyclone churned only a couple hundred kilometers away near Darwin. This episode is all about that contrast: the wonder of the reef and the vast quiet of days spent crossing open water. Some links are affiliate links. See our disclosure. Japan's medal haul at the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics reached a record 31 on Sunday, surpassing the previous national best of 30 set at the 2022 Games in Caxias do Sul, Brazil, organizers said. Japan added to its tally with strong performances across multiple sports. In karate, the women's team won gold in the team kata event, while 20-year-old Kenji Mori captured the men's individual kata title. In swimming, Ryutaro Ibara, 31, claimed his third gold of the Games by winning the men's 400-meter individual medley. On the track, Maki Yamada, 28, earned silver in the men's 200-meter sprint. Crown Princess Kiko and Prince Hisahito attended an orienteering event on Izu Oshima, part of metropolitan Tokyo. The two watched the final round of the men's relay, which featured Japan and seven other teams, with Prince Hisahito offering cheers to athletes in sign language. The Crown Princess, who first tried the sport after an introduction by a foreign researcher at the 2019 International Cartographic Conference in Tokyo, has since been a regular participant in competitions and training sessions. Earlier in the day, the pair visited Buratto House, a shop selling local farm products. Royalty 101: Ten hereditary monarchies survive in Europe today; Belgium, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, The United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and Monaco. Each of them pass their thrones within their respective royal or noble family based on different rules. Some give daughters equal right to sons, some bar women and their children entirely. Princes and Princesses may be born into or removed from the line based their religion, if they are raised in the country, who they marry and other factors. Some monarchies have tight laws and successions lines only 10 to 20 people long. While others have lines which include thousands of extended relatives. Let's take a look at who is and is not in line for the thrones of each of the 10 modern European monarchies. And take a look at the historic events and royal scandals have shaped succession rules over the centuries. Plus we'll find out which royals are in line for more than one throne. The first of an expected 170,000 cruise ship visitors to New Zealand this year have hit the streets of Auckland today, with the arrival of the Crown Princess. Retailers and tourism operators are keen to cash in on the visitors, but the number of people sailing here is again expected to drop this summer. Cruise ship operators say the costs of reaching New Zealand's waters are high, while the government says it's working on making the country an attractive destination. Jessica Hopkins reports.

This is an encore release of an earlier podcast episode. For American viewers, the story of Norway's Crown Princess Märtha is likely mostly unknown. Send us a textIf Brigid Brophy's The King of a Rainy Country had a soundtrack, it might include the soft patter of rain on a garret window, jazz drifting from a smoky cafe, the hum of a Vespa on narrow cobblestone streets … and the obnoxious griping of a few dozen uncultured Americans! As the description suggests, Brophy's 1956 novel has a little bit of everything — atmosphere, nostalgia and poignancy mixed with subversive wit and madcap antics. Send us a textHello, passionate cruisers! This is Paul. I am delighted to welcome back this week on The Joy of Cruising Podcast, Neil Gregory, a seven-year former videographer on several ships for Princess Cruises. During those years, Neil kept, and continues to update a diary of his time working onboard ships. His story as reflected in his diary is real, raucous and laugh-out-loud funny! “Cruise Ship Diaries” was featured in my latest book, The Joy of Cruising Again amzn.to/3lAfyON.I hosted Neil on The Joy of Cruising Podcast last year, Episode 20-Cruise Ship Diaries. That hilarious episode pertained to Neil's first contract, onboard Coral Princess. After Coral Princess, Neil went on to a world cruise on Sun Princess and then contracts on Sapphire Princess, Diamond Princess, Crown Princess, Grand Princess, Emerald Princess, Dawn Princess, Royal Princess, and Ocean Princess over the ensuing seven years. Neil says that those years working for Princess Cruises were some of the best experiences of his life. He has seen and experienced destinations and activities that I'm sure that many of us have on our bucket list: scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef; climbing the Great Wall of China, visiting Angkor Wat in Cambodia and getting to walk across the Panama Canal. Sure, there were lows—I'll get Neil to say a little about those—but it wasn't enough to stop Neil from renewing his contract time after time. Can you commit to sustainability while designing clothing and how can the fashion industry and consumers strike the balance for more responsible choices? Luxury fashion designer Mark Kenly Domino Tan is known for his sense of craftsmanship in textiles and tailoring and has dressed celebrities including Lady Gaga and the Crown Princess of Denmark. In a conversation with Kristina May, he reveals his perspectives on responsible fashion. From his experience at Dior and Balenciaga to launching his own brand, he explores the challenge of designing responsibly sourced, timeless pieces that redefine the relationship between clothing and the wearer. Emphasizing beauty, durability, and expressive adaptability, he contends that real change requires both brands and consumers to commit to specialization. In the second part of the episode, you can listen to the panel's input as Katherine Richardson, Morten Grubak, Clare McNally, Mie Levi Fenger, and Kristina May discuss the topic further to explore solutions.

Since childhood, he's had an instinct for expansion and growth. His interest in the human mind and self-inquiry ignited at age 14, after reading his first book on meditation written by Osho (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh). Eventually, Kranti developed an interest in Yoga. In 1991, he travelled through India, and a few years later, he started a daily practice. In Milan in 1996, he took a one-year teacher training with Carlo Patrian, one of the yoga pioneers in Italy. A few years later, while in Berlin, he was introduced to the Ashtanga method and fell in love with the practice. Since then, although Kranti's yoga experience was complimented with the Iyangar method, Ashtanga became his daily practice and passion. Kranti moved to Copenhagen a few years later, teaching Ashtanga and Hatha Vinyasa. He taught different yoga enthusiasts, dancers, actors, and athletes; one of his regular students was the Crown Princess of Denmark, Mary Donaldson. In Paris in 2002, Kranti attended a workshop with Richard Freeman. He was deeply inspired by Richard's versatile and open approach to yoga and yoga philosophy, and the following year he traveled to Boulder, Colorado, for Richard's one-month intensive teacher training. This experience further deepened his understanding of the Ashtanga method, meditation, and philosophy. In 2004, he attended a course in Yoga Therapy at the Yoga Biomedical Trust of London, England. He worked with students with heart disease and was moved by the powerful healing aspect of yoga as a complementary alternative therapy. Since 2005, Kranti has routinely studied in Mysore, India, under the guidance of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath Jois. He received Authorization Level 1 to teach Ashtanga Yoga from Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in 2008, and on July 5th, 2010, Kranti received Level 2 Authorization. In 2012, Kranti was Certified by the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Institute (KPJAYI) – the only official institute in the world able to certify students to teach the traditional Ashtanga Yoga method by the Jois family. Kranti & Gabriele Severini, who teaches in Rome, are the only two certified teachers from Italy. As of 2012, only 38 certified teachers were recognised globally by KPJAYI. Kranti is also a registered teacher with the Yoga Alliance (RYT and E-RYT 500 hours), and he completed the Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Sarah Powers. Through his teachings, Kranti will help you tap into your own true, unique potential. “In addition to Yoga studies, Kranti has trained and self-studied ‘Life Coaching,' NLP, Body Language and psychology, incorporating aspects of these fields in his daily teaching and private lessons.”

Beth Revis's https://youtini.com/book/the-princess-and-the-scoundrel-989465a4f3 (The Princess and the Scoundrel )picks up immediately during the festivities on Endor after the Empire's defeat to showcase the proposal, marriage, and honeymoon of the Crown Princess of Alderaan and the…well…former citizen of Corellia. The couple enjoys a quick ceremony and celebration on the forest moon before being whisked away to the Halcyon, the premiere starcruiser on the Chandrila Star Line. During their voyage, the couple discovers a few of the early trials of married life along with the fact that although the Emperor has been defeated, the Rebel victory isn't quite complete. ▶Star Wars: The Princess & The Scoundrel Review | https://tinyurl.com/55j5zntw (https://tinyurl.com/55j5zntw) ▶Get Your Copy of Star Wars: The Princess & The Scoundrel | https://tinyurl.com/bdenh9zw (https://tinyurl.com/bdenh9zw) ▶The Youtini Book Review System | https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbHdMZHAyM3ZFSkpNa2QwNF9vRFFzZDR1YWVQd3xBQ3Jtc0tuQ1VHTGIxTkcyOXNsdXdMNWhNa1RITVNyeWhxS1pCc2htRENhUVdLd2lGWkh2VDlrTlVvQUwzbUxBclRCMEFFRG1HWElUSl9aVTNMMXpVejJnUHVqSlAxdDZfbWFkOW1xX28wRGk5bEN5S2hWdElJNA&q=https%3A%2F%2Ftinyurl.com%2F2p857edd&v=fm4XQ0VJrHA (https://tinyurl.com/2p857edd) ▶New Book & Comic Releases on http://youtini.com/ (Youtini.com) | https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbHdQdDJ5amR3U3l1LWRGLU9XN0NEWVdST0JnQXxBQ3Jtc0ttR2diampHaGxneXhuMjV0REo0MjRzbDBGTlhVLUYtcnptNFZuaGI5d1JrdThERXQ0U1lXdDVrSk5JVjdDd1UyWlJ0emc2UmNVVHNyVFFaVm44ZVlsVUlIVklCd0swRXZwZHp2SktGTlVnNVVzSUJmOA&q=https%3A%2F%2Ftinyurl.com%2F4bnhp8du&v=fm4XQ0VJrHA (https://tinyurl.com/4bnhp8du) ▶Complete Star Wars Timeline | https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqa2N3M001cWg5djZWNWJrWndWaHNzTlFSS3h2QXxBQ3Jtc0tuTy1RZUJyZ0FVN3M1eDlnc1FBaktrbU5KdWVMQ0VxdG9WNG5yZ1VzMmp6STd6YWRhSm02SUxCZzgzY2tEdnZnZ3FSN1FuTVktYnlkR1ZRdndSZTJjcVhieUt1Z09uTEZFUV8tUHhHSUc5Z2ZPVk1ZMA&q=https%3A%2F%2Ftinyurl.com%2Fyznkb8w7&v=fm4XQ0VJrHA (https://tinyurl.com/yznkb8w7) JOIN OUR COMMUNITY ▶ WEBSITE https://www.youtini.com/ (https://www.youtini.com) ▶ DISCORD https://www.youtini.com/discord (https://www.youtini.com/discord) ▶ TWITTER https://twitter.com/youtini_us (https://twitter.com/youtini_us) ▶ INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/youtini_us/?hl=en (https://www.instagram.com/youtini_us/?hl=en) ▶ FACEBOOK https://www.facebook.com/youtini (https://www.facebook.com/youtini) SUPPORT YOUTINI ▶ WEEKLY CONTENT ON PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/youtini (https://www.patreon.com/youtini) ▶ YOUTINI MERCH: https://www.youtini.com/merch (https://www.youtini.com/merch) GET MORE STAR WARS BOOKS ▶ Get A FREE Star Wars Audiobook: https://www.youtini.com/audible (https://www.youtini.com/audible) ▶ Best Canon Book To Read First: https://www.youtini.com/book/lost-stars (https://www.youtini.com/book/lost-stars) ▶ Best Legends Books To Read: https://www.youtini.com/guide/best-star-wars-legends-books (https://www.youtini.com/guide/best-star-wars-legends-books)
