On this episode of Comes A Time Oteil and Mike welcome Brando Rich, founder and CEO of CashorTrade, onto the show. You'll hear the guys discuss the origin of CashorTrade and the principle ideas behind the service, how the company has maintained the feel of a close-knit community as they've grown larger, and the war between artists and fans and big ticketing companies. You'll also hear Brando tell the guys a few stories about the unique ways that CashorTrade connects old and new friends, explain how the ticket market functions as a whole and tell you why tickets have gotten so expensive, and talk about the future of paperless tickets.Brando Rich is an avid music fan who grew upset with the secondary ticket market. To counter this exploitation of fans, he created CashorTrade.org, the world's only social network where real fans buy, sell, and trade tickets for face value and avoid scalpers. Now with nearly 250,000 members on the app and 3,000 new fans signing up each month, CashorTrade has become an ideal alternative in the industry. They've solidified exciting partnerships to take part in their Face Value Manifesto, including agreements with Billy Strings and Twiddle. Monotronic – XRadio Featured Artist of the Month [April 2022] The XRadio Featured Artist of the Month for April 2022 is the American indietronic group, Monotronic. Hailing from New York City, Monotronic has been buzzing around the internet with their hit single, Kids of Summer. Since emerging in 2016, Monotronic have maintained their status as a ponderous and provocative enigma. Conceived by guitarist/producer Ramsey Elkholy, Monotronic started as a loose collective of NYC-based musicians. The rotating cast of musicians have shared the stage and recorded with the likes of Joe Jackson, Robert Randolph, Elliot Moss, The Spin Doctors and Dweezil Zappa, to name a few. The Monotronic sound is a combination of electronic music with a wide range of cultural influences, mostly drawn from Elkholy's time spent in Calcutta studying Indian classical music and his travels throughout Southeast Asia, where he spent nearly two years in the rainforests of Sumatra, Indonesia among the Orang Rimba tribe. He describes Monotronic as “a concept, whereby each instrument can be heard as a continuation of the other and the music sounds as one distinct whole, emanating from a single source”. Along with performing at iconic venues up and down the East Coast and New York City, the band has also graced the bills of festivals such as Disc Jam and Meeting of the Minds. This week, we kick things off with a special (but disturbing) Geek Heart Pets update. Sam's been playing Wipeout Omega (It's like Mario Kart but a sci-fi techno version) and Matterfall (it's like Resogun but not as good). Cody's been diving back into Fortnite Battle Royale (but not playing enough with Sam) and trying new things in Pokemon Red (Oh my god, Squirtle!). Then there was a ton of news to cover this week. Cody was super excited about the Nintendo direct announcements including Mario Tennis (Sam would just as soon play Disc Jam) and Smash Bros is coming in 2018! contact@geekheartgames.com Twitter & Facebook: @geekheartgames geekheartgames.com/youtube geeekheartgames.com/discord Cody: @comicbookcody Sam: @sksuvak
On today's show, Marc talks about the Boo! Greedy Kid, a game about scaring old people and showing everyone a full moon while you do it, as well as a smidgen of Disc Jam and a pinch of some more Past Cure and Super Mario Odyssey. Anyway, something-something spooky and poopy, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly childish) show. Anyway, that's it and that's all folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, podcast(s), and all the ridiculous jazz we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. And don't forget, you can also support the site by shopping at Amazon if that's your jam--you can probably buy your favorite blueberry jam on Amazon too.

Wind Jammers is a very old NeoGeo game that has long since been lauded as one of the best arcade sports games of all time. Sadly it has remained in copyright limbo and only now are there attempts to return it to current generation consoles. Disc Jam is a game that while from the outside looks like an update to Wind Jammers is actually a very different game. Chris ORegan first encountered it at PAX West 2016 and invited the developers onto The Sausage Factory to talk about it. http://media.blubrry.com/caneandrinse/caneandrinse.com/sausage/TSF_Episode137.mp3

Ryan and Matt "Quicker Picker Upper" Amberg are back and barnaby about Club Dread, The Flash, Money Monster, and La La Land before it's on to time spent with DiscJam, Ballz, Flower, and numerous Goat Simulator DLC packs. The Injustice 2, Battlefront 2, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, Micro Machines, Friday the 13th, Resident Evil 7 DLC, the SNES Mini, etc etc, yada yada.
