It's been quite awhile due to timezone differences, but Jon is finally back for an episode of the GVGCast... and this time, he's at last making his tub debut! To celebrate the occasion, this time we're digging into a Jon-focused set of news and chatting about the Snipperclips developers' next game, a gameplay presentation of the Sonic Mania team's new project Penny's Big Breakaway, and evidence pointing toward what will likely be in Vol. 2 of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection. Of course, we'll also be discussing topics suggested by our incredible Patrons!

Dave calls Jay to unpack the surprisingly complex music of Snipperclips. In the featured track Noisy Notebook C, composer Calum Bowen not only makes use of the previously explored “Whole Tone Scale”, but also uses an unusual trick of walking up and down octaves in 5ths to create a sort of unbalanced, dislodged feeling. As if this wasn't enough, the song structure itself utilizes a famous jazz progression known as “The Coltrane Cycle” to further offset the players equilibrium, and yet despite all this, the soundtrack is not only enjoyable to listen to, but addictive.

Spill vi snakker om i episode 30: Skate City, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Shenmue III, Pokémon Sword/Shield, The Last of Us, Uforia: The Saga, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, Mortal Kombat 11, Gylt, 1-2 Switch, Wii Sports, Nintendoland, Red Dead Redemption 2, Dishonored 2, Star Citizen, Assassin's Cred: Unity, Snipperclips, Metal Gear Survive, Yooka-Laylee, Spider-Man 2, Mosaic, Oceanhorn 2, Pikmin, Fez, The Outer Worlds, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Horizon Zero Dawn, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Everwild, Halo Reach, Half-Life: Alyx, Holmenkollen Ski Jump, Fantorangen, Cricket to the Ages, What the Golf, GoldenEye 007, Prey, Duke Nukem Forever.
The full team came into the studio with sufficient time for the show to start, only to find that the mixing desk didn't want to play fair. Was it upset that we didn't have a show last week? We may never find out. This did mean that this week's episode is one minute shorter than usual, but we increased the quality of the rest of the episode by 1.7% so you won't see any difference (statistic provided by Ann Scantlebury). We managed to get Tom Vian from SFB Games in to talk about Tangle Tower, their latest release, and Snipperclips. Both games were launch titles for Apple Arcade and the Switch respectively so we had lots of questions about how what it was like dealing with Nintendo and Apple. Tom tried his best to answer those questions, without ruining any future relationships. Tangle Tower is a murder mystery game that's also available on Switch and Steam. There's also a soundtrack available, and we played some of it on the show. But more importantly, how do you make your own Snipperclips joycons? There was also confusion about if the Playdate console had been released, Ste had an update from Reboot Develop, Simon might have finally got baseball out of his system (but his Switch habit is getting out of control). Best of all, we had a Damo update. Cheerio! Now, it is well documented that Crofton and Ryan love the electronic entertainment so it is only fitting that an expo for said entertainment would prove excellent. The boys run through all the highlights and lowlights of the press conferences before changing some diapers with talk of first visits to the dentist. All of that and Snipperclips too!

Kolejny odcinek z serii #przecinekprzerywnik Opowiadamy o spontanicznej wycieczce do Słupska, podczas której jedliśmy w najstarszej pizzerii w Polsce. Grą najbardziej ryjącą baniak, która doprowadziła mnie do załamania nerwowego, była „Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons”. Kliknięcie w link przeniesie Cię do wyczerpującej recenzji. Jeśli chcecie zobaczyć, jak wiele pracy włożono w tę grę i ile osób poświęciło czas, aby przeanalizować każdy szczegół, obejrzyjcie poniższe filmy. Poznajemy zróżnicowane podejścia do tematu. 22–23.05 to infoShare w Gdańsku – będę poszukiwała interesujących ludzi i poznawała nowe projekty. Na koniec polecam „Olek Wandzel Podcast”. Chociaż wszystkie odcinki poruszają tematykę sportu,

This shorter episode covers social Co-Op games, specifically Snipperclips and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, and we dive into how some contemporary games engage us and encourage use to problem solve and experiment while having fun and shouting at each other. Also, Chase apologizes to people who suffer from deafness for not being able to play Snipperclips but meant to say people suffering from blindness. It's 2018 and we're talking about Noel's House Party A WHOLE LOT. That show was great and the board game is... well you'll find out when you listen to the podcast... cheers, Robin. We also get to grips with the Nintendo Switch, Overcooked, Snipperclips, and think about why non-gamers might find it difficult to get into video games. Being the avant-garde gamers that we are, we then go on to talk about Fortnite and how we're using our winning "hunkering" tactic (hiding in corners), and taking flight in musical exploration game InnerSpace (which is NOT the 1987 fantasy sci-fi flick). All this, plus puffins, Porgs, and why we don't get invited to the cinema anymore, with Sam (@MrSamTurner), Peter (@XeroXeroXero), and Kris (@DigitalStrider). Oh by the way, if you're not subscribed to us on the platform you're listening to us on right now then we'd really love it if you did. We're available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Mixcloud, Stitcher and basically everything else too, and we're always thankful when you leave us a review there too (hint hint). Void watched Valerian and the City of 1,000 Planets, more Star Trek discovery, listened to a ton of Reply All, and played a bunch of games like HQ, Call of Duty WWII, and Destiny 2 PC. 'Yan and 'Att are back and bicycles about David Duchovny's Dead Babysitters, HBO, The Flash, Shanghai Noon and/or Knights, and Shamadinger's Split before it's on to time spent with broken Vives, Switchmas: Zelda, Mario Kart, and Snipperclips edition, Star Wars Droid Puzzle, Overwatch, Flower, the functional end of Ballz, and Bastion. And if that's not confusing enough then Injustice 2 has some more trailers, the Call 'O Doots is getting old (WWII), Darksiders 3 and Danger Zone exist alongside the most nauseating parts of the Walking Dead multiverse, Nintendo doesn't have unlimited resources to make things they don't want to make, and apparently neither does Valve.
Today's episode is all (mostly) about the Nintendo Switch as Marc talks about it once again; however, this time, for the first time, having used one for a few days and change, putting some time into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Snipperclips, and Puyo Puyo Tetris. In addition to switching things up with some hands-on Switch chatter, Marc also talks a bit more about Persona 5, having played much more of it, and talks about the recent Thor: Ragnarok and Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailers. Cheers and enjoy the show. Anyway, that's it and that's all folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, podcast(s), and all the ridiculous jazz we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. And don't forget, you can also support the site by shopping at Amazon if that's your jam--you can probably buy jam on Amazon too.
