Joined by special guest, Russ from the Infectious Groove Music Podcast/YouTube channel, we jump back into our WWE 30 Year Time Machine series to pick up where the '93 King of the Ring PPV leaves off with the infamously terrible WWF SUMMERSLAM 1993 from Auburn Hills, Michigan. On paper, the matches seemed like they would be great, but everybody seems to phone it in all night. Up to and including its very lackluster main event, this PPV felt more like a glorified house show/TV episode of Monday Night RAW, but is it truly the worst SummerSlam of all time? BFYTW is back with another NEW game to play with some special guests. This week we are joined by Lauren from Beer'd Al Podcast and Russ from Infectious Groove Podcast, both of OddPods Media Network. Aaron hosts as each player attempts to win big for their charity, in an intense competition.(Rules) POLE POSITIONFour players determine their starting positions by answering two quickfire trivia questions. The player(s) who successfully answer both correctly will choose their positions first, followed by those who got one right, and finally, those who got none right.Four players line up in a row, taking the positions they chose. The player at the front of the line - "pole position" - will answer multiple choice questions, trying to give the final correct answer needed to end the round, & qualify for the final.1st Round - 4 players, 4th correct answer qualifies2nd Round - 3 players, 3rd correct answer qualifies3rd Round - 2 players, 2nd correct answer qualifies and back player chooses the category of the questions. If a player ever gets a question wrong, they go to the back of the line and everyone else moves up. Between each round, players will choose their new position based on where they were at the end of the previous round. After all 3 qualifying rounds, the lone player who didn't qualify is eliminated from the game.Final Round The jackpot starts at $100. The three who qualified choose their positions, and the back player once again chooses the categories. This time, the front player will answer seven questions, and the player who answers the seventh question correctly will win all the money in the jackpot. However, anyone getting a question wrong moves to the back of the line AND loses $10 from the pot. So the front player can ask the other players for help, and they may want to do so in order to keep the pot nice and high, but as the questions go on, they'll probably become less helpful in order to get themselves into pole position. On the seventh question, if a player gets it wrong, the correct answer is not revealed, and that player is eliminated. The next player moves up and tries to find the correct answer from the three remaining options, if they fail, the last player has a 50/50 shot. Lowest possible win is $20."Prelude and Action" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) "Crypto" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) "Stay the Course" Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com) Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 4.0 License http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/Shoutouts to our Patrons Raspfairy, Mexi, Justin, Kristin, Flaose, Todd, Jim, Flaos, Bridget F., David M., Erin S, Donna/Colin Maggs, The GateLeapersPromos @SuperMediaBros_ @BeerdAlPodcastFounding Members of @OddPodsMediahttps://www.patreon.com/BFYTWShow Music by @KeroseneLetter and @MexigunOur Merch Store https://www.teepublic.com/user/bfytw-podcasthttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyJG-PDn6su32Et_eSiC6RQwww.BFYTWpod.comThis show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/4771234/advertisement

Believe it or not, someone already did that. Country / music outlaw Sturgill Simpson released exactly that ablum in April of 2016.This week, Russ & Michelle are joined by KC & Aaron of The Itch Rocks Podcast to talk through a review of "A Sailor's Guide To Earth", the stunning third solo effort from Sturgill Simpson. It's been just about a year since that happened, so we figured it was time to talk about it. Fellow OddPods Media member Richie from the Super Media Bros Podcast joins us this week to talk through it all. What mandates were in place? What precautions went away? Somehow, someway, we've made it through yet another season of pretty much everyone's favorite music podcast. If you're confused as to what podcast I'm referencing, it's this one. I just figured I'd put that out there. If you're just tuning it, first of all, thank you, second of all, you're in for quite the wild ride. We've made it through a mountain of musical guests, a plethora of guest hosts, a global pandemic, the birth of a kid, a life-changing move across the country, and so much more. You guys have had a front-row seat to it all, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Without you, we wouldn't be here, and let's be honest here, that would suck some serious ass. With that being said, let's get into it! We all have that elder family member that thinks their version of a song or an artist is the end all be all because let's be honest "they just don't make em' like they used to" (according to Uncle Bob). Or hell, maybe you're the elder that thinks little Jimmy should shut up about his Tik Tok songs because they sure in the hell didn't originate there. Perhaps your inner "Karen" starts to rear its ugly head when you see a tween rocking a Pink Floyd or Aerosmith shirt that you're certain came from a department store. If we're being honest here, most of us probably have at least a little bit of some of these types of things ingrained within ourselves, mostly because we tend to become protective over the things that we cherish in life. Others are simply just grouchy assholes that tend to behave this way with everything in their lives. We call this "gatekeeping" and it really can be found in all parts of one's life. This week, we're ending season 6 with a bang, and a special guest. Now that I am reading this, that last part is worded a little strangely, so before you ask, no we're not banging our special guest on the season 6 finale. If that's what you're looking for, perhaps you've stumbled upon the wrong podcast, or maybe the wrong platform entirely, but that's for you to decide. Typically I'd tell you right here, who's going to be on with us this week, but it's the season finale, so guess what...it's a surprise. Join us as we try and bust through the gates, and tell the gatekeeper to get lost. It's the season 6 finale of Johnny Rzeznik's plastic surgeon's favorite music podcast. LET'S GO!!!
