In this episode, we explore the gift of tears and the importance of allowing ourselves to cry. We reflect on our experiences with crying and talk about how tears, especially in painful moments, can be a powerful expression of surrender, lament, and hope when offered to God. With the help of the Holy Spirit, our sensitivity and capacity to cry reflect the way we were beautifully created to respond to what breaks God's heart. We discuss the vulnerability of crying, the pain of resisting it, and how Jesus crying out on the cross reveals the value of our own cries. Whether you're too tired to cry, afraid to show need, or already feel safe expressing emotion, we invite you to see crying as an act of worship and intercession. In our sorrow, God meets us with love, truth, and the hope that He can actually do something with our pain. How are you tempted to give in to cynicism? In what ways are you self-reliant in this season of life? How can you be an empathetic witness to someone crying out in their life? Quote to Ponder: “Finally, she asks God to give her a gift of tears to draw his mercy down upon the world, and especially upon his church. In one of her visions, Catherine records having been told by God: “If you open your mind's eye you will see that the Holy Spirit weeps in the person of every one of my servants who offers me the fragrance of holy desire and constant humble prayer.” (St. Catherine of Sienna, The Dialogue Study Edition) “We are accustomed to thinking of crying out as something disorderly, to be repressed. The Gospel confers an immense value to our cry, reminding us that it can be an invocation, a protest, a desire, a surrender. It can even be the extreme form of prayer, when there are no words left. In that cry, Jesus gave all that he had left: all his love, all his hope.” (General Audience, September 10, 2025, Pope Leo XIV) Scripture for Lectio: “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Psalm 22:1) Sponsor - Beata Home: This episode is sponsored by Beata Home, a boutique-style print shop founded by Katie, a wife and mom of four. Do you ever feel like Bible reading has become routine? Maybe life’s distractions, spiritual fatigue, or lack of inspiration have dulled your passion for God’s Word. But Scripture reminds us that “the word of God is living and active” (Hebrews 4:12)—it’s not just words on a page, but a divine conversation meant to transform our hearts. Joe Navarro, known online as @joechristianguy encourages us in today's prayer and devotional to approach the Bible not as a chore, but as a gift from our loving Father. By asking God to renew our desire for His Word, experimenting with new ways of study, and remembering that Scripture is for transformation, not just information, we can rediscover joy in meeting God daily through His truth. Main Takeaways God’s Word is living and active—it has power to refresh our weary souls. Prayer is the starting point: ask God to rekindle your hunger for Scripture. Changing your approach—like trying a new translation, using audio Bible, or joining a group—can spark renewed excitement. Bible study is not just about knowledge, but about transformation. Delight, not obligation, is what God desires for us as we engage His Word. Bible Verse References Hebrews 4:12 – God’s Word is living and active. There are some wonderful, and well-known promises scattered throughout today's reading as the Lord offers consolation and hope for those in exile. After 70 years in exile, the Lord will judge those nations whom He released upon Israel and Judah, and His people will return to the land of promise. While waiting for the promises of God, His exiled people are commanded to pursue the well-being of the city in which they live, for when their city thrives, they will also thrive. The Lord expresses His everlasting love for His people, promising to rebuild them and make them joyful once more.Jeremiah 29 - 1:12 . Jeremiah 30 - 9:23 . Jeremiah 31 - 15:10 . In this powerful and sobering episode, we reflect on the recent deaths of Charlie Kirk and Pastor Voddie Baucham — two bold men who shaped our generation and challenged Christian men to stand firm in truth. Their sudden passing reminds us of life's fragility and the urgent call to live faithfully, boldly, and ready. What does it mean to be “ready” in our time? Spiritually, morally, practically, and missionally? This episode challenges Christian men to confront their mortality, examine their legacy, and rise to the calling God has placed on their lives.

Psalm 118:5-14, Jeremiah 13:15-23, Colossians 2:6-15. Is it possible for you too to change? One of the most difficult things in the world is to break a bad habit or to give up sin In one of today's passages Jeremiah asks, ‘*Can a leopard change its spots*?' (Jeremiah 13:23)
When we face uncertainty, when life gets hard, when things happen that we can’t explain, we’ll often ask: Where is God? But every Christian should realize they are never alone. Jesus is with you. Pastor Greg Laurie shares more in this message. Notes: Focus verse - Genesis 22 Matthew 28:20 (NKJV)“Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Psalm 23:4 (NKJV)“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil; For You are with me;Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Sometimes our feelings need to catch up with our faith. #1 Joseph was in a prison cell. He probably felt all alone and abandoned. He was there, not because he broke a law, but because he kept one—God’s law. God was in the prison cell with Joseph. Genesis 50:20 (NKJV)"You meant it for evil; but God meant it for good—to save many people alive.” #2 Let’s go from a prison to a palace and think of Esther. Queen Vashti, to her credit, refused. She would not be humiliated or objectified, not even by the king. Vashti is a role model for young girls and women today.Don’t ever let some guy reduce you to a mere object. You are a woman made in the image God. If you present yourself cheaply, don’t expect to be valued royally. A man needs to value you for who you are on the inside, not only the outside. The most attractive thing is to be a godly and principled woman. Through the providence of God, Esther became the queen of Persia. God is always at work in the life of the believer, every hour of every day. God is now here! Providence comes from the Latin prōvidentia; “pro” meaning "before" or "ahead of time” and “videntia” meaning “to see.” God is in control. #3 The story of Israel at the Red Sea.They were between a rock and a hard place. Exodus 14:13–14 (NLT) Exodus 14:13–14 (NLT) Colossians 1:16–17 Exodus 14:19 A Christophany is an appearance of Jesus in the Old Testament. John 8:56–58 (NKJV)"Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." John 8:56–58 (NKJV)Then the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?" John 8:56–58 (NKJV)Jesus said to them, "Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM!" Luke 24:27 The disciples on the Emmaus Road were literally listening to God incarnate describe His Old Testament appearances. Jesus didn’t begin in Bethlehem; He has always been. The story of redemption started a long time ago in a garden. The Christmas story begins with a tree: the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Adam and Eve sinned and lost that sweet fellowship with God. Genesis 3:8 (NLT)“When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the LORD God walking about in the garden.” We can never escape the presence of God. When you walk with God, it is a source of comfort. 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.” James 1:14–15 (NLT)“Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow,it gives birth to death.” The Bible says, “Christ was slain from the foundation of the world.” Genesis 3:15 Pharaoh tried to exterminate the Jews starting with the Hebrew baby boys. Wicked Haman tried to have the Jews wiped off the face of the earth. King Herod hearing that one was born, “King of the Jews,”tried to kill Jesus, but that too failed. Nothing would stop Messiah from coming.Nothing will stop Christ from coming again either. #4 The story of Abraham and Isaac on Mount Moriah. Read Genesis 22 The two of them went together.Genesis 22:8 That is exactly what happened when Jesus went to the cross for us. This gives a glimpse of Calvary from the Father’s perspective, sacrificing His Son, His only Son. Genesis 22:11 Christ died in our place and absorbed the wrath of God. --- Learn more about Greg Laurie and Harvest Ministries at harvest.org. "The wind changed direction, and I was caught in this massive fire. I screamed out to God to save me. My face was on fire, and somehow I was suddenly lifted, and floating." ---------- Jamie's life has been miraculously spared more than once. At just fifteen he was caught in a raging fire — but instead of dying, he was mysteriously floated to safety, though badly burned. Years later, in a violent South American prison, a man stood before Jamie ready to kill him. Once again, God intervened. And during what became Hurricane Earl, off the coast of Cozumel, Jamie and six others found themselves scattered in the sea with no way out. Yet all survived. As Psalm 31:15 declares, “My times are in Your hands.” Jamie's story is a gripping reminder that until God's purpose for us is complete, nothing can cut our lives short. Psalm 51 is widely known as the psalm in which David confesses his sins related to Bathsheba and her husband. But in this week's message, Pastor Bryan takes us through Psalm 32, revealing a look into David's heart in the year before he actually confessed. Like David, we sometimes have a tendency to be slow in confessing our sins, mistakenly believing that in these moments we should keep a safe distance from God. The truth, however, is that God is a safe place for us precisely because our sins have been covered by the blood of Jesus.

Psalm 59:14-16 (NLT)My enemies come out at night, snarling like vicious dogsas they prowl the streets. They scavenge for foodbut go to sleep unsatisfied. But as for me, I will sing about your power.I will shout with joy each morning because of your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge,a place of safety in the day of distress. In this episode, we spend time with the Miktam Psalms—which I discovered are also called the Golden Poems. There are six Miktam Psalms and all were written by David in some of his hardest seasons, when danger and distress surrounded him. There is something so encouraging about the fact that, in the middle of David's distress, he takes a hard turn toward faith and worship. It's a reminder that we can do the same. Just as David's golden poems all have places that shine with trust, we can remember our own “golden lines” of comfort and moments where God has carried us through.I hope you find encouragement (like I did) in these verses. Host Jeff opens this Sunday broadcast with the show's signature mix of Scripture and geopolitical analysis — starting with the Word on Word game (Psalm 4:8 vs. Isaiah 55:6) and moving quickly into a wide‑ranging briefing on domestic and international developments. He explains why a single photo from a state visit and repeated uses of the phrase "his excellency" matter to his broader theory about shifting authority and sovereignty. Jeff dissects a purported "Declaration of Authority and Summons" that circulated ahead of a high‑profile meeting of military leaders, calling attention to unusual language such as "the United States for America" and "His Excellency of the Western Kingdom." He connects that document to recent court rulings, the government shutdown, and personnel changes at the top of the military and federal agencies — raising questions about legal authority, Navy JAGs in Washington, tribunal activity, and the reach of executive power. The episode also surveys global flashpoints: a controversial gun buyback and speech‑restriction measures in Canada, reports of legal and cultural shifts in the UK and across Europe, and the spread of government digital ID programs. Jeff ties these developments into a broader theme that some governments are showing their hand, and he explains how Russia, NATO, and other actors factor into the current geopolitical chessboard. Israel receives extended attention: Jeff describes Trump's treatment of Benjamin Netanyahu, the growing two‑state discussion, mass protests inside Israel, and intelligence claims that raise the risk of escalatory moves against Iran. He offers a speculative scenario — including the possibility of a false‑flag event or an attack near the Temple Mount — while framing it as one of several outcomes to watch as Israeli politics and regional alliances shift. As a counterpoint to fear and sensationalism, Jeff plays a clip from comedian Jim Brewer about how nonstop media coverage "steals your energy," ramps up fear, and drives people away from faith. Jeff endorses that message and emphasizes worship, prayer, and spiritual readiness as defensive tools: "peace through victory" is his refrain, urging listeners to don the armor of God, preserve their spiritual energy, and stay battle‑ready in troubled times. Key takeaways: close attention to military and executive moves in Washington, fast‑moving geopolitical developments (especially involving Israel and Western allies), and the episode's central pastoral call — resist fear, protect your moral and spiritual energy, and rely on worship and faith as the primary response. Pastor Aaron McRae unpacks the heart of true Biblical worship. Worship isn't just about singing songs on Sunday—it begins with surrender. Looking at Exodus 34, we discover that God reveals Himself as compassionate, gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love, and faithful. When we see God for who He truly is, the only right response is worship—our whole lives offered in surrender. From Moses' bold prayer to see God's glory, to John 3:16's ultimate revelation of God's love, we are reminded that worship is not performance, ritual, or appeasement—it is bowing our hearts, our wills, and our lives before a God who is worthy.True worship flows from surrender. Will you give God more than a song—will you give Him your life?Resources MentionedThe Knowledge of the Holy – A.W. Every one of us is thirsty for something. We chase success, people, and possessions—hoping they'll fill the ache in our soul. But no matter how much we drink, it's never enough. That's because our souls weren't designed for substitutes. They were designed for Jesus. Psalm 63 says, “I thirst for You… my whole being longs for You.” And in John 4, Jesus tells us that only His living water can truly satisfy. Everything else—our achievements, relationships, even good things—are broken cisterns that can't hold what we're desperate for. So what do we do? We seek Him before anything else. We name the empty wells we've been running to. And we make space for His voice. Because the truth is simple: Jesus satisfies what success, stuff, and people never will.

In this passionate and timely message titled “Having a Heart for Revival,” Pastor Putnam calls the church to awaken to God's Spirit and embrace the cry of Psalm 85:6 — “Wilt Thou not revive us again, that Thy people may rejoice in Thee?” With both urgency and hope, Pastor Putnam reminds us that true revival is not an event or emotion—it is a heart condition. From the prophecy of Joel to the repentance of Nineveh and the miracles of Ephesus, he shows that revival always begins when God's people humble themselves, pray, and return to Him. Through Scripture and powerful illustrations, we are challenged to let God breathe fresh life into our souls, to remember His unchanging power, and to let heaven once again touch earth. This message declares that revival starts within us—when hearts are humbled, prayer becomes passionate, repentance becomes real, and obedience to God's Word rekindles joy in His presence. As Pastor Putnam shares, the harvest is ready, but revival must first burn in our own hearts. Whether you've grown weary or simply long for more of God, “Having a Heart for Revival” will stir your spirit and call you to be part of what God is doing in this end-time awakening.
