Cillian Murphy, fresh off his Oscar win for Oppenheimer, is set to star in and produce Universal'sadaptation of Blood Runs Coal. The film, based on Mark A. Bradley's book, portrays the true story of labour leader Jock Yablonski's fight for coal miners rights in the 1960s. Murphy will play Chip Yablonski, Jock's son seeking justice after his assassination. With Murphy's star power rising, Universal secured the rights just days after his Academy Award win. The script by Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth promises a gripping narrative. Murphy's packed schedule also includes reprising his role in Peaky Blinders and starring in Netflix's Steve.

Harrison Ford returns, naturally, as the titular adventurer, now in his golden years as the series enters 1969. But you know who doesn't return? Steven Spielberg! Or George Lucas. Since its premiere at Cannes, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has certainly divided critics and longtime fans alike. But we'll do our best to excavate our own thoughts on a movie that may or may not belong in a museum. Dial of Destiny was directed by James Mangold, who co-wrote it with Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth, and David Koepp. In addition to Ford, the cast includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Ethann Isidore, John Rhys-Davies, Karen Allen, and Mads Mikkelsen. In which the Mister and Monsters join me in reviewing EDGE OR TOMORROW (2014) which is currently available on HBO Max. With a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie, Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth and directed by Doug Liman, the film follows Cage (Tom Cruise) who gets roped into combat and through a chain of events, is reliving the day over and over each time he dies. A solid script, magnificent performances and great FX make this a MUST WATCH. The film is rated PG-13 and clocks in at 1 h 53 m. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
