How does chronic stress affect the health of your heart? What does anger do to your arteries? These are the questions I asked Jonathan Fisher, MD, a Harvard-trained cardiologist with 20 years of clinical experience, who is in the process of writing his first book: “Just One Heart”. In this episode, we delve into the anatomy of society (capitalism, how we were raised as children, workplace culture) and its impact on our wellbeing, something Jonathan has seen first-hand. We talk about how the pressure of contemporary life has negatively impacted many people's mental wellbeing and physical health, particularly their hearts. We also explore the connection between mind, body, and heart, burnout in high-stress professions, and the importance of valuing qualities like empathy and compassion in our workplaces. Jonathan introduces the concept of conscious capitalism and learning how to operate from a higher consciousness. I was particularly surprised by the often-misunderstood topic of anger and the concept of “broken heart syndrome”. I hope this conversation will inspire you to be kind to yourself, especially if you are running yourself a bit too thin and offer you compassion, healing and a moment of introspection. There are currently thousands of unsung heroes, known as Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), creating revenue growth within companies around the world. The SDR role is often the first step in a salesperson's career journey.
On this episode I speak with Jonathan Fischer who is an editor in unscripted reality television. Jonathan has been working on shows like Expedition Unknown, Little Woman:Dallas, Battlebots, American Guns, Ultimate Fighter, The Biggest Loser and more. He explains to me how the editing process begins, works and ends on a project. How the Tsunami in Japan in 2011 changed the editing industry forever. Who knew?? We discuss the ethical responsibility an editor has especially in reality television and how under current conditions working remotely is doable but not ideal. Also why he decided to change his career and focus on Virtual Reality.

Business Day TV — Jonathan Fischer from PSG Wealth Sandton chose Roche as his stock pick of the day and Gerbrand Smith from NeFG Fund Management chose Standard Bank Fischer said: "I'm going for Roche, a Swiss-based company headquartered in Basel, listed in Switzerland. It is a diagnostics and prescription pharmaceutical company, they sell drugs for anemia, anti-coagulation therapy, leukemia - you name it. Whatever disease is out in the world they produce it and they sell it. It has market cap of 264 billion Swiss francs which is close to four trillion Rand. They're not cheap, from a just a normal pe of 22 times, they are similar to Sanofi or GlaxoSmithKline which is two of their competitors, they have a dividend yield of 2.6%. It's a global company that we like, a non-weakness probably looking to buy some of that, they had quite a nice run the past six to nine months, trading just over 300 Swiss francs." Smith said: "I just think you buy stuff when nobody else wants them, that is certainly the case with Standard Bank as it falls into that category at the moment. There's a downgrade hanging over South African business and they are the leading African bank from South Africa's point of view in Africa. Nobody wants to be in Africa at the moment and Standard Bank is doing a great job we saw growth from that side and the latest numbers in South Africa is actually growing, their IT spend is behind them so I think people are missing the plot there. It's sitting at a 9 or a 10,5 PE multiple, decent dividend yield and I think you'll be rewarded over next year holding this."
Jonathan has faced death more times than he can count. He was born with congenital heart issues, leading to multiple surgeries and procedures in what he likes to refer to as his "doctorate in being doctored." The most recent one 3 years ago was the most extensive open-heart surgery performed at Kaiser Permanente in Los Angeles. Through these experiences, he has developed a profound desire to help people see past the masks and veils of their everyday experience, appreciate the joy and humor in life, and connect to their life in a healthier, deeper, more loving way. He does this through his coaching business as a certified hypnotherapist and NLP Master Practitioner and Trainer, as well as through speaking. He has been seeing clients for hypnotherapy for over 15 years. His areas of specialty are health, public speaking including fear of public speaking, and business success. Since 2012 he has been the chief hypnotist for Mindifi hypnosis apps, with millions of downloads world- wide. http://mythicheart.com

Jonathan has one of those stories that is painful to hear. Born with a heart and vascular issues, with his first surgery at 14 months old, it is a triumph not only with his physical heart, but his emotional heart as well. We discussed what 7 weeks in the hospital at 6 years old was like, learning about a brain aneurysm at 18, surviving a stroke and open heart surgery at the age of 45. Through it all, Jonathan's attitude is the message he wants to portray. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/the-naked-podcaster/message Support this podcast

Ep. 74 Morning Commute #3: You Don't Need More Information We often hide behind excuses to keep us from pushing out of our comfort zone. "I don't have enough experience, I need to learn more about it, once I study it more I'll give it a try," and the list goes on and on. In most things in life, you will learn FAR MORE from taking action than you will from hypothesizing and researching. If you want to learn to dance, learn how to take incredible photographs, learn to sing or speak another language, or virtually any other skill, the best way is to try, fail, learn, and repeat, refine, and hone. If you are ready to STOP THINKING AND START DOING listen in to today's episode of the OCG Morning Commute. Be sure to pick up your tickets to my first ever co-hosted live event, BEYOND BELIEF. GunFreedomRadio Video Interview Series Vol1 EP87 Jonathan Fischer Welcome to the very first Gun Freedom Radio video interview! This will be a fun and relaxed way to interact with our guests, and will allow us the liberty of spending a bit more time than does a radio schedule. We will be making improvements as we move forward, experimenting with lighting, locations, adding video clips, and more! We welcome your feedback and suggestions! Huge thanks to our “Test Pilot” Guest: Jonathan Fischer is the founding member of the West Hollywood chapter of Pink Pistols. The Pink Pistols are a shooting group that honors diversity and is open to all shooters. The Pink Pistols’ charter states: “We help bring new shooters into the practice and provide a fun social environment for all our members. We work to build bridges between the shooting community and other communities, such as those based on alternative sexualities. We advocate the use of lawfully-owned, lawfully-concealed firearms for the self-defense of the sexual minority community.”
Jonathan Fischer of Pink Pistols joins us to discuss the rise in gay gun owners, why homosexuals need to part ways with democrats, and the recent barrage of terrorist attacks within the United States.
