in this episode of the National Crawford Roundtable the guys talk about Biden's "recent" cancer diagnosis. Is this another example of the systemic deception instituted by the left intent on shaping the world to fit their narrative in another desperate attempt to cling to power? Or was tis an innocent oversight by his medical team? The guys also discuss the Comey "8647" seashell story. Is it really possible that he didn't understand the meaning? Should former government officials and/or entertainers be offered a wink and a nod, or expect prosecution when they threaten (of suggest) assassination of a U.S. President?

Luke and Kate had both felt God's call to missions. But they were still waiting to know where that call would take them. They went through training. They travelled to serve in different countries. And all the while, they asked God where he wanted to send them long-term. His answer finally arrived after a 12-hour bus ride to a rural village in Myanmar where there were no other foreigners. Kate and Luke both felt it clearly: “This is it. This is home. This is where I want you.” God put a deep love for the local people in their hearts. Their calling was confirmed when a village elder asked them to stay and serve with their medical skills. That clear sense of God's calling would prove vital in helping them stand firm in serving through challenges, Christian persecution and even the 2021 coup. In Myanmar (formerly Burma), each person's religion is printed on their ID card, and it is illegal to change one's religion. It's illegal for a Buddhist woman to marry a man from another religion. Ethnic divisions are baked into everyday life as each person is expected to look out primarily for their own people. In the midst of that challenging environment, listen to how Luke and Kate shared the gospel and how Jesus brought people from different ethnic and tribal groups together as fellow members of the Body of Christ as their house church includes four different ethnic groups unified in Christ. Luke and Kate also share the story of a Buddhist background believer who was severely persecuted by her own mother, but endured faithfully and eventually led her mother to Christ. They'll also share how they talk about persecution while sharing the gospel so that those who respond and become new believers are ready to count the cost of following Christ. Pray for followers of Jesus in Myanmar and for Luke, Kate and their family. Never miss an episode of VOM Radio! Subscribe to the podcast. Or you can listen each week—and get reminders to pray for persecuted Christians—in the VOM App for your smartphone or tablet.
When you first enter the medical world as a caregiver, everyone around you hits the ground running. The nurses and doctors know exactly how to get started, and yet, you might be left feeling overwhelmed and powerless. This is what makes social workers so important: they support the family holistically, encourage communication, help bridge information gaps, and empower you to become an important member of your child's medical team. My guests today, Henry Rosh and Megan Keeler, are both social workers at Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. Henry works with families who have extended admissions in the heart center, and Megan extensively prepares families for admissions and hospitalizations in the epilepsy center. In our conversation, they're sharing their best advice on communicating with your medical team, building relationships with nurses, and participating in your child's care so that you can feel more comfortable and better informed on the next steps in your journey. Key Takeaways with Henry Rosh & Megan Keeler The impact of social workers on medical journeys How they make hospitals less intimidating for families What is Psychosocial Support? Winning is hard. Whether it's coming in first place in a race or making it to the end of a marathon, winning takes a lot of effort. In an age of Instagram life coaches, TikTok motivation accounts, “Alpha” and “Winner” influencers, there are a lot of external forces that can make you feel that the path to winning is one dimensional, “have it or you don't” situation. Dr. Jeff Brown is here to change that. Dr. Jeff Brown is the Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and the Psychologist for the Boston Marathon Medical Team (and a first responder during the 2013 Boston Marathon Bombings), as well as a member of Runner's World magazine's Scientific Advisory Board, where he's taken a scientific approach to understanding how to win. Co-authoring the book “The Winner's Brain: 8 Strategies Great Minds Use to Achieve Success,” Dr. Brown traveled across the world to hear the stories of some of the greatest high performers in the world, from musician B.B. King and Olympian Kerri Strung, to FBI agents, fighter pilots, and even high-altitude window washers. Dr. Brown believes that everyone is capable of achieving a winner's brain, because it's a skill that you can train your mind to adopt. Empowering your people to be able to adopt a winner's brain is critical for any manager creating a high performance working environment. And plus, who doesn't want a few more wins in their life? This is definitely another episode you're not going to want to miss, so with that…let's bring it in!
AP correspondent Laurence Brooks reports on Argentina-Maradona Trial.
Of all the skills we have to learn as parents of medically complex children, one of the most difficult is often just finding a medical team that you trust, and that trusts and respects you as well. When it comes to dealing with doctors and other specialists, it can sound like they're speaking a different language, and we are often coming to the table from two very different perspectives. So in today's episode, Dr. Kelly Fradin, MD shares with us how we can better communicate with our child's medical team and advocate in a way that feels less frustrating. She offers some amazing advice on how to navigate getting second opinions, how to ask questions that get to the root of the issues at hand, and even how to find those seemingly rare physicians who are willing to go above and beyond for our children. If you've been trying to find better ways to work with your child's medical team, this episode is for you! And a big thanks to this episode's sponsor, MOOG Medical, maker of the Infinity pump.
