Transformed Podcast Episode 141 | September 18, 2025 Todd Friel joins Dr. Greg Gifford and Julie DeVore to unpack the cultural obsession with self-love from a biblical lens. With clarity and conviction, they explore how modern ideas of worth and identity often miss the most important Person in the equation—God. This conversation helps believers reorient their view of self through Scripture, not pop psychology. ___ Thanks for listening! Valentine's Day is often seen as a celebration of romantic love, but what if love starts from within? In this Wellness Wednesday episode, Beth and Robin explore the foundation of love—self-love. Without it, we risk settling for less, struggling with boundaries, and feeling unworthy. Self-love isn't about grand gestures; it's in the small acts of care—enjoying a morning coffee, setting boundaries, or acknowledging our worth. Whether single or in a relationship, self-love shapes how we give and receive love. So, this Valentine's Day, ask yourself: Do I truly love and respect myself? If not, where can I start?   Check out all the Wellness Wednesday episodes.   Show Hosts:             Robin Ennis on the web at www.robinennislcsw.com             Beth Gustin, LPC, NCC, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, CAGCS, PLGS             Www.transitioningthroughchange.com   You can message Beth and Robin by calling 612-367-6093 or by email. Today I talk about polyamory as an umbrella term— reframing poly on a huge continuum to many constructs with partner(s). I also explore how poly can help us learn about our relationship attachment, break down cis-heteronormativity & explore what we genuinely need in our loving relationships. Miranda is a love and relationship coach who helps women create the true love they desire so they can live the life of their dreams. She believes that filling yourself up with your own love is the best path towards creating fulfilling relationships and a fulfilling life. But there was also a time when Miranda struggled with her own self-worth. She believed she wasn't beautiful and would binge drink and fall into unhealthy routines just to fill a void inside her. This also led her to enter unhealthy relationships where her true value was not celebrated nor appreciated. All it took was one decision to take the inner work more seriously, and the rest is history. She got her life back on track and channeled her divine feminine so that she could set the right boundaries to thrive in love and in life. She learned how to raise her standards for herself and draw the line when something was not worth her energy or time.   Tune in to this episode to find out how you can completely love yourself so you can attract the right relationships and draw upon love from a place of abundance instead of lack! "I'm going to always serve love for myself. Actor and musician Mitchel Musso (@mitchelmusso) joins Justin on the podcast this week with his NEW MUSIC after taking some time away from the big screen. The Hannah Montana star opens up candidly about how he purposely “chose himself first” in order to bring the best version of himself to everyone in his life. It's no secret that all of us have thought about how loving ourselves will in turn nurture the other areas of our life, well, we're in luck on this episode because Mitchel is a walking example of how it really does work! Mitchel has returned to the spotlight with new original music inspired by his experiences with love, heartbreak, emotional ups and downs, and life accomplishments. Most recently, he released the first single “Drank” off his upcoming Mixtape “Ghost”. Mitchel starred in three successful Disney projects, “Hannah Montana,” “Pair of Kings,” and “Phineas and Ferb,” as well as Columbia Pictures' “Monster House.” Mitchel began his music career at a young age, releasing his first album through Walt Disney Records, but didn't find his true passion and sound until he stripped the "work" away from the music, and began making music stemming from his life's inspirations. How To Start Loving Yourself First This episode is setting us ALL straight when it comes to loving yourself first… … getting in touch with your feelings… …and showing up for yourself. You see, if you don't get in touch with your painful feelings, you lose a bit of yourself and prevent yourself from healing. Having painful feelings are all part of life as life is full of challenges. In this episode, you will discover your deeper feelings to gain awareness and bring them to the surface. I'll also be sharing how to show up for yourself through prayer whenever you experience these types of feelings in marriage and life. This is one of those episodes where you'll not only walk away with a notebook full of practical steps for loving yourself first… …but with a fire in your belly for all that life has to offer you. Here's a glance at this episode: Big ah-ha moments covering 3 important steps to loving yourself first that I have personally practiced in my own life. In Matthew 22, the bible instructs us to the most important commandment that we are to follow in our lives. To love each other and experience overflowing joy, you must first learn how to start loving yourself first. Only then will you have love to share.
