The ENTIRE European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), in collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) within Enterprise Ireland (EI), recently held an Industry Network Day; an event to empower SMEs with digital transformation and data-driven decision-making strategies. The highly engaging and interactive event took place at Tyndall National Institute, based at UCC, and featured expert-led discussions on Artificial Intelligence (AI) by Prof Barry O'Sullivan (Insight & ENTIRE EDIH) and Stephen Lyons (Skillnet Ireland & ENTIRE EDIH) and from cybersecurity experts Dr Hazel Murray (MTU & ENTIRE EDIH) and Stephen O'Keeffe (PwC). The event offered insights from leading professionals, real-life case studies from SMEs that have benefited from EDIH support, and 1:1 consultations with experts, national agencies, and industry peers. Speaking about the event, Paul Galvin (ENTIRE EDIH) said "Digital transformation is not just an opportunity, but a necessity for enterprises to minimise operating costs, access new markets, and to ensure resilience and competitiveness. The ENTIRE European Digital Innovation Hub is part of a network of four Irish EDIHs, and over 200 EDIHs across Europe, that offer a broad range of fully discounted services to support enterprises and public sector organisations in their digital transformation journeys. The ENTIRE EDIH team works closely with regional, national and European agencies, to help advance the digital maturity of enterprises and support digital transformation roadmaps." The European Digital Innovation Hubs network is a pan-European initiative established by the European Union to accelerate digital transformation across industries. EDIHs provide essential support to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, mid-caps, and public service organisations (PSOs) in adopting cutting-edge digital and AI technologies. ENTIRE is one of four EDIHs in Ireland playing a crucial role in advancing the country's digital economy. ENTIRE EDIH's strategic mission is to offer the innovation expertise of Tyndall National Institute in IoT Smart Sensors, Walton Institute at South East Technological University in IoT Networks and HPC, Munster Technology University (MTU) in Cybersecurity, University College Cork (UCC) in Artificial Intelligence, and Skillnet Ireland in SME Digital Skills Onboarding. The Industry Network Day event was directed by Paul Galvin, Director of ENTIRE EDIH, and supported by representatives from EI, EEN and the other leading Irish EDIHs, including Laura Clifford, Senior Programme Manager of the EDIH Programme (EI), Stephen O'Reilly, National Representative for Horizon Europe Cluster 4 - Digital at Enterprise Ireland, Teri Smith, Manager of the LEO Centre of Excellence & Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), Laura Plunkett (CeADAR EDIH), and Mike Conroy (Data2Sustain EDIH). 2.00" Paul Galvin, Kerry GAA legend, as you've never heard him before. He tells how his continuing 8 year collaboration with Dunnes Stores started, how he hand delivered his autobiography to Dunnes supremo Margaret Heffernan. After ten years of teaching he grew tired of the repetition, he was no longer enthused. He was, however, always enthused by design, even a simple Mitre football he looked at as a 'lovely object of design'. He says he's probably a frustrated architect and he has a BIG interest in 'bio-architecture', something he learnt about from a Netflix series called 'Abstract' and Israeli architect called Neri Oxman. based at MIT. He looks at stadia on Google Maps, and draws inspiration from their beautiful shapes. He he makes a connection between the GAA and Dunnes Stores, as part of the Irish cultural heritage. The first connection was made when he sent his book, 'In my own words' to GAA fan Margaret Heffernan on the instigation of Irish Independent journalist Bairbre Power.Comparing Paul Galvin with another Dunnes Stores brand, Paul Costello, Paul G. says he has no plans to expand outside men's clothing and footwear, where he says there's plenty of space to expand. Rocky is a very boring movie if he never gets knocked down. You may not know it but our guest this week hit the canvas harder than most. Comedian, writer and broadcaster Oliver Callan joins Jarlath for rare conversation about his early life, new series and that fall from grace. Oliver opens up to Jarlath about finding his niche in a busy impressionist market, how his talent protected him from being bullied at school and he tells the shocking story of escaping from an abusive relationship involving coercive control. Listeners will also be surprised to hear about that part of his career he wishes he could delete. There's time to fondly remember Dermot Morgan, a look at why he resisted the urge to travel and Paul Galvin's efforts to stop him performing. We get his thoughts on censorship, his "slight obsession" with Marion Finucane and much more. This is one of those chats where you will want to hear every single minute. With the honourable exception of Mayo v Donegal, the conclusion of the Super 8s turned out to be much ado about nothing. Thankfully, the upshot is that we have been left with a cracking weekend of All-Ireland SFC semi-finals to look forward to, with Mayo v Dublin on Saturday evening and Tyrone v Kerry on Sunday. Keith Duggan and Eamon O’Donoghue join us to chat through the games and non-events of the weekend just gone, and to preview the fireworks that (hopefully) await us. We also have some insider knowledge on what lies ahead for the footballers of Wexford as Paul Galvin takes the helm. The English Premier League returns on Friday night and for many people that means one thing – Fantasy Football is back. Why cheer for just one team managed by Pep or Klopp when you can assemble your own team of over-paid professionals, and give far too much thought to who takes corners for Wolves? Joe Lepper of www.FantasyFootballScout.co.uk joins us on the line to examine why the game is such a phenomenon and, more importantly, to give us some vital tips and tricks for the season ahead. All this in your Tuesday’s Added Time, with Malachy Clerkin and Pat Nugent. Times: Gaelic football: 7:00 Fantasy football: 30:45

Colin takes us into the team room in what he calls the most draining week of the year for the players involved. Eamon Donoghue owes the Irish Times sports department a lot of weekends off from the past few months as he has been moonlighting as a wannabe midfielder for The Underdogs on TG4. He's in studio to tell us about the challenges of being in a reality show, the extreme fitness challenges involved and why Paul Galvin is the sharpest football mind he has ever come across.
