In der heutigen Zeit wird es immer wichtiger, sich selbst um entsprechende Kompetenzen seiner Kinder zu kümmern. Das Lernen lernen- sollte bei unseren Schulen an allererster Stelle stehen. Tut es aber nicht. Im Gegenteil. Hier steht die Vermittlung von Stoff ganz vorne, denn der steht nun mal in den Lehrplänen und die sind Gesetz. Aber wie der Stoff ins Gehirn kommen kann, wird nur selten verraten. Außerdem sollen alle in der gleichen Geschwindigkeit lernen, auch die mit Handicaps und die Hochbegabten... Die Alternative: Die Kinder selbst mit entsprechenden gehirn-gerechten Kompetenzen auszustatten, dass ein Lernen unabhängig aller Unzulänglichkeiten funktioniert.

Harish Sritharan war der erste stotternde Student, der an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Luzern aufgenommen wurde. Dozierende zweifelten an seiner Fähigkeit zu unterrichten. Mit seiner Beharrlichkeit schaffte Harish die Ausbildung zum Lehrer trotz aller Bedenken. Nach dem Ende seiner Schulzeit befürchtete auch Joël Rieble, beruflich keine Karriere machen zu können. Doch nach seiner Lehre zum Polymechaniker hängte er die Berufsmatura und ein Studium an und arbeitet heute als Entwicklungsingenieur. «Es war hart», erinnert sich Joël, «aber ich wollte es allen zeigen: Was ihr könnt, kann ich auch.»
