In this powerful episode, we connect the dots across a wide array of unfolding national stories—from media gaslighting and failed stock market psy-ops to the collapse of trust in institutions once thought untouchable. We begin with the deep state's failed attempt to tank the market in April and the unprecedented shift in public sentiment, as shown in Rasmussen's latest poll revealing—for the first time—a majority of Americans believe the country is on the right track. We then dissect the hypocrisy and fearmongering in Scott Pelley's Wake Forest speech, exposing how the same establishment voices decrying censorship were once complicit in silencing dissenters. A sharp lens is turned on the COVID narrative, including RFK Jr.'s bombshell announcement removing the vaccine from the CDC schedule for healthy kids and pregnant women, and the media meltdown that followed. Testimony from medical experts under oath reveals staggering potential harms from the vaccine—raising critical questions the mainstream refuses to answer. This episode is a raw and unfiltered look at the fight to reclaim truth, liberty, and accountability in an America that is waking up—fast.

Critical minerals are required for the manufacturing of electronics, aerospace equipment, medical devices, and renewable energy technologies, making them essential for a country's economic and national security. These materials have been at the center of China's domestic and foreign policy for many decades, and China's ability to integrate internal industrial policies with foreign trade and investment policies has allowed them to gain dominance in the market. Meanwhile, the US has lagged behind China in terms of both access to and processing technology of critical minerals. The country has been heavily dependent on China for its critical minerals and struggles to find an alternative supplier.China's announcement to impose export restrictions on seven rare earth elements on April 4th has opened many conversations surrounding critical minerals, especially regarding the US and its supply chain vulnerabilities. What has China done to achieve their global dominance in the critical minerals sector, and what can the US do to address the overdependence issue they are facing today? To answer these questions and more, host Bonnie Glaser is joined by Gracelin Baskaran, the director of the Critical Minerals Security Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. She is a mining economist whose area of expertise is critical minerals and trade. Timestamps[00:00] Start[02:13] US Dependencies on Rare Earths and Critical Minerals[03:51] Sourcing from Latin America, Africa, and Asia[06:28] Environmental Harm from Mining and Processing[08:11] Deliberate Suppression of the Price of Rare Earths in the Market[11:06] Chinese Exports Restrictions on Seven Rare Earth Elements[14:08] US Administrations' Approaches to Critical Minerals Vulnerability[20:02] 2010 Fishing Boat Accident and Japan's Response [24:00] What might China do moving forward? [27:42] Timeframe for the US to Catch Up to China

What if everything you thought you knew about the financial markets was wrong? Join us as we welcome back seasoned market analyst Michael Gayed to dissect the pervasive notion of market manipulation. Together, we unravel the intricate roles that liquidity and algorithms play in shaping the financial landscape. As we navigate through the current state of limbo, Michael provides a thought-provoking analysis on how potential political shifts, specifically a Trump presidency, might reshape the regulatory environment and offer new prospects for small and mid-sized companies. This episode is a must-listen for anyone eager to understand the balancing act of offensive and defensive investment strategies in these unpredictable times. The conversation takes an intriguing turn as we explore the dynamics of stock market shifts, particularly how sudden price declines can present opportunities for dollar cost averaging. We scrutinize the performance of the Russell 2000 against the S&P 500 and explore how deregulation could potentially boost small-cap stocks. Michael and I critically examine the Federal Reserve's past rate decisions and discuss the implications of rising 10-year treasury yields, all while questioning the traditional perceptions of market behaviors. By assessing the impact of tariffs and inflation on economic policy, we provide a comprehensive look at the factors influencing today's market conditions. To round out our discussion, we venture into the speculative realms of gold and cryptocurrency, examining how excess liquidity fuels over-optimism among investors. Geopolitical tensions add another layer of complexity, impacting oil prices and investment strategies. We also discuss the merits of diversifying into undervalued sectors like miners, small caps, and emerging markets, while acknowledging the challenges hedge funds face in keeping pace with the S&P 500. This episode is packed with valuable insights that equip investors to navigate and capitalize on the shifting market dynamics with a well-balanced and informed approach. The content in this program is for informational purposes only. In this episode, Evan Zinaman, founder and principal at Trailbreak, delves into the first-of-its-kind case of the Bueno brothers, who face Department of Justice charges for exploiting Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) in a cryptocurrency scheme. Accused of manipulating transaction ordering to create an arbitrage opportunity, the brothers are charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud as well as wire fraud itself.  Zinaman explores the broader implications of MEV exploitation, addresses critics who say that the MEV exploiters just got a taste of their own medicine, and the need for block building participants to consider their legal and compliance responsibilities. Show highlights: What the charges against the Bueno brothers are about How block building works on Ethereum and how the relay was manipulated by the Bueno brothers The different types of MEV and which ones are acceptable  Why these charges could be seen as a "vanilla fraud," according to Evan Whether the benefits of MEV outweigh the cons of it The lack of terms of service in the MEV space How the regulators' attention to the space has changed over time Visit our website for breaking news, analysis, op-eds, articles to learn about crypto, and much more: unchainedcrypto.com First Bits + Bips episode: Bits + Bips: Does Macroeconomics Point to a Potential Crypto Supercycle?
