How should you go about pre-qualifying sales leads? And why should you do that in the first place? Co-hosts Hannah Robinson and Melissa Honan share their thoughts and experiences of the good, the bad, and the ugly of attracting and working with clients. Hannah thinks that narrowing down who's going to be a good client for you is key, especially when you're starting out. Melissa strongly recommends against trying to close every single person out of desperation like she did when she started out. Melissa explains how her bookkeeping for painters business has a funnel that, in addition to painters, attracts other professionals like plumbers and roofers. She wouldn't have but her husband Daniel took the lead in making sure the business only served painters and would send others away. Melissa talks about the red flags potential clients will say when you ask the right questions during a discovery call – but also if you don't ask them. The biggest red flag, says Melissa, is when a potential client says they have had countless bookkeepers and start talking badly about them. Hannah shares her belief that having certain clients pre-qualified to be a good fit is something that requires a level of patience and it isn't an easy thing to do. Melissa discusses how it took her a long time to think about longevity. At first, she was focused on growth, growth, growth, so she could pay people but that approach can lead to a short-sighted sales funnel. In her business, Melissa uses a form but she has found the best qualifying strategy to be having an actual call with the potential client. She discloses that her sales role is the last thing she would outsource. When it comes to finding prospects, Melissa and her team try to be everywhere painters are. One way they do that is through partnerships with business coaches who specialize in their industry. For Hannah, pre-qualifying your clients ensures that your retention rate is the best it can be and it helps you maintain the relationship. However, she stresses, it isn't just all about you but it's about whether that person is a good fit for you too. Melissa goes over the types of potential clients, including the types she breaks down into two categories, as well as an exercise they use to qualify a certain type of prospect. For Melissa, one of the biggest frustrations with the bookkeepers she works with are clients that don't respond to them and then also don't care. At the start of our Bring Back V10s era in 1989, Formula 1 had as many as 39 cars turning up trying to get onto a 26-car grid for a grand prix. After an initial pre-qualifying elimination process was introduced for the first practice session in 1988, a formalised session was added to race weekends for the following season, to narrow the field down to 30 contenders before free practice even started. Edd Straw and Matt Beer join Glenn Freeman to look back at a crazy time for F1 backmarkers. What was the crazy initial pitch for pre-qualifying that got rejected? Why did some teams that were clearly quick enough to qualify for races still have to go through the ignominy of the Friday morning session? Who were the worst teams to try their luck at getting into F1? Which driver completed a full season without ever getting through pre-qualifying? Which team's engine supplier once timed the lifespan of its engine from fire-up to failure at four seconds? Why did so many no-hoper teams try to get into F1 at this stage? Mit Schmitz sprach er erst nach dessen Halbfinaleinzug. Schmitz berichtete über das Leben auf der Future-Tour, dass er es jetzt versuchen wird, es als Profi zu schaffen und wo die Schwierigkeiten liegen. Anschließend verlor Schmitz zwar sein Halbfinale, aber mit Partner Benjamin Hassan gewann er das Doppelturnier. Mit beiden sprach Florian nach deren Turniersieg. Im zweiten Teil der Sendung geht es noch um das Challenger in Phoenix, das unter den Challengers ein regelrechtes Einhorn-Dasein fristet. Zwischen Indian Wells und Miami gelegen bietet es auf Challenger-Ebene das beste Feld, das man sich nur wünschen kann. Abschließend sprechen Andreas und Florian noch über Yannick Maden, der sich derzeit anschickt, die notwendigen Punkte zu sammeln, um bei den French Open direkt ins Hauptfeld zu kommen. During the 2.5-hour show, series promoter Andy Seesemann joins Howden, along with Senior Rok point leader Jim McKinney, Briggs 206 Senior racer David Vasquez and Rok Shifter Senior driver Alex Keyes.

1.The Habit of Lead Generation - The key to all choices.  When you have the ability to create leads, you have given yourself the ability to choose who you work with, where you work and when you work. 2.The Habit of Speaking Up and Asking For Business - We’ve all felt it before, the opportunity is staring us in the face to speak up, and we hesitate and miss the opportunity.  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  The answer is no if you don’t ask so you may as well ask!  The 2015 NAR profile of buyers and sellers says 88% of people would refer their agent...and less than 8% of agents ask!OH/RR 3.The Habit of Closing One More Time Than You Are Comfortable - My experience is many agents don’t even close once.  The research shows that it can take up to 7 attempts on your part before your prospect makes a decision to work with you. Every attempt gets you closer to a yes.  You never know unless you do it. 4.The Habit of Staying Organized With My Lead Follow up -  80% of sales require five follow-up calls and over half of the time, agents give up after one attempt.  The key here, don’t leave follow up open ended.  ALWAYS establish the next point of contact before ending any conversation.  Example... 5.The Habit of Practicing and Role-Play - Professional athletes, actors/actresses, entertainers, emergency personnel, medical professionals, marching bands, even children in a school play - they all practice and dedicate countless hours to being ready to perform at the highest level. Unfortunately, it’s been my personal experience that maybe 1 -2 % of all agents practice their presentations or scripts on a regular basis.   6.The Habit of Following A Schedule - I like to think of your schedule like your GPS or compass that provides a direct path to your goals.  Don’t think of a schedule like a punishment or restrictive, it’s your guide, stick to it and trust it. Brings peace and certainty. (Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change.) 7.The Habit of Listening/Reading Positive Materials - I can’t stress the importance of this one enough.  We have two main sources that are continuously attempting to creep in and disrupt our mindset...the media with all the wonderful supposed news it reports and our own self-talk which isn’t typically helpful. We want to purposefully brainwash ourselves with positive information to offset the other. 8.The Habit of Pre-Qualifying 100% of your Appointments, 100% Of The Time - When you do this, you will see immediate benefits. It saves time, your conversion rate will increase, you will be more profitable and most of all you will experience less frustration that keeps you in a more consistent and productive mindset.
