MERCH Pre-Order - https://nonmembersshop.com/Happy National Eat What You Want Day! We kick off the episode by motivating everyone to stay consistent with their workouts (Erin is officially on week 5 of her pull up journey!) before diving into a highly specific, heated rant about deceptive grocery store produce bags, why are tangerines and limes sold in color matching mesh bags to hide the rotting fruit?! We also celebrate the official launch of our merch store (grab your koozies, hoodies, and mystery trinkets while you can!) and pop open a Recess Mood drink to calm down. Then, we get into the main event: Erin's massive, multi-day recap of the Dick's Sporting Goods Varsity Team brand trip in Tampa. Event planning is officially a sport, proven by Erin walking into a hotel room stocked with a personalized cake, $500 in Stanley gear, and a daily wardrobe. Erin explains how she entered "survival mode" to become a mega extrovert, surviving a upscale carnival complete with a Ferris wheel, and an Adidas yacht party featuring custom Sambas, permanent jewelry, and a saxophone player jamming to Bad Bunny. She also chilled in a speakeasy movie theater in custom pajamas, and finally got to wear her sparkly Adidas tracksuit to a jaw dropping banquet featuring aerial yoga and a hidden 7 piece band. The physical toll of the trip was brutal, featuring a blazing hot "On" HIIT class with "no-nonsense Giovanni" (where Erin and the gym bros were secretly collapsing behind his back) and an insanely hard Pilates session with Molly Seidel's sister, Izzy. Erin also defends her "Grease Girl" status by refusing to wear the provided orange short shorts in the sun. Finally, we debut our highly anticipated on site interview with the Savannah Bananas player who famously face planted doing a backflip on live TV. He reveals the shocking behind-the-scenes details of the crash, the concussion, and the CNN producer's terrible reaction to the blood. We wrap up with a quick rant about the fever dream that is the Tampa airport and beg our listeners to prove to Mike that he isn't just broadcasting to an empty void.

We're diving headfirst into our fashion hot takes! We get into what's actually worth splurging on and where saving makes sense, from coats, bags, denim, and shoes to the everyday pieces you reach for over and over again. There's plenty of talk about designer outlet wins, high–low dressing, airport outfits, Sambas, barrel jeans, athleisure fatigue, and the trends we're loving and the ones we're ready to move on from. We also dive into how to get dressed when winter feels endless and your closet suddenly feels uninspiring. From layering and texture to scarves, winter whites, and the idea of dopamine dressing, we break down what actually helps you feel more put-together without chasing every trend or buying an entirely new wardrobe. Along the way, we answer your questions on everything from skinny jeans and white shoes to whether athleisure belongs outside the gym and which bags feel timeless versus overplayed. It's candid, opinionated, and exactly the kind of fashion conversation we'd be having if you were sitting with us. A Sony Music Entertainment production. In episode #90, we explored one of the most revered albums in Brazilian music history. Recorded live between January 3rd and 6th, 1966, Os Afro-Sambas has endured decades of change and upheaval in Brazil's musical landscape. The unlikely duo behind it—Baden Powell, a 24-year-old virtuoso guitarist of poor Afro-Brazilian origins, and Vinícius de Moraes, 51, celebrated white-diplomat songwriter of Garota de Ipanema and Chega de Saudade—first met in a Rio nightclub in 1961. Widely regarded as the first album to fuse bossa nova's signature instruments—guitar, bass, flute—with Afro-religious rhythms, Os Afro-Sambas was born after Baden traveled to Bahia to conduct extensive research in candomblé temples.Recorded in a basement studio in downtown Rio during a torrential rainstorm, the sessions help explain why Vinícius' vocals sometimes sound notably nasal. Or, according to various legends, perhaps because they reportedly went through more than 2,300 bottles of whisky over those four days of recording. In this episode, we took a deep dive into the album's history, analyzing its lyrics, music, and the context of its creation, including audio excerpts from interviews and documentaries.Among the videos I have shared in this episode:Baden Powell plays on the TV show Ensaio - TV Cultura (1967) Baden Powell plays "Tempo de Amor" for Saravah documentaryBaden & Vinícius play Berimbau/Canto de Ossanha (1979)Follow our updated playlist on Spotify: "Soundtrack: Brazuca Sounds". In this episode, we celebrate samba once again by listing 10 different songs whose subject is the samba itself. A metalinguistic samba so to speak, where the music genre is the character - one would be impressed by how many songs are out there! Among the highlights are Dorival Caymmi's "O Samba da Minha Terra", Zé Keti's "A Voz do Morro", and Novos Baianos' "Na Cadência do Samba" (written by Ataulfo Alves). We also talked about Noel Rosa, Vinícius de Moraes, Nelson Sargento, Paulinho da Viola, Elza Soares, Jair Rodrigues, Alcione, and the mainstream samba ballads. Anders Holm liked every sneaker you like now 20 years ago. The Workaholics co-creator talks here about his long footwear history—from getting an early pair of Air Jordan 6s as a kid to watching the Three Stripes Posse in high school to getting free Reeboks during his time in college. Holm waxes poetic on sneaker trends that have come and gone, and how he was there for it all. Sambas, Salomons, New Balances, Holm had them all. He even met Virgil Abloh in college, between getting caught up in an NCAA sneaker scandal. Elsewhere in the episode, the cohosts react to the Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 3.0 rumor and the Nike SB Instagram account taking a shot at Private Selection. Hosted on Acast.
