Bush, the US has abrogated or failed to renew arms control agreements and has initiated production of new nuclear weapons that had previously been suspended by international agreements and after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) raided Rocky Flats for violations of US law in 1989. On 2024-09-30 US District Court Judge Mary Geiger Lewis ruled that the US Department of Energy (“DOE”) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (“NNSA”), the DOEs semi-autonomous nuclear weapons agency, violated the National Environmental Policy Act (“NEPA”) by failing to properly consider alternatives including envirnomental impact before proceeding with their plan to produce plutonium pits, a critical component of nuclear weapons, at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in New Mexico and the Savannah River Site in South Carolina. This decision culminated several years of litigation. In 2022, Nature Food published a report by a team of 10 leading experts in climatology, food production, and economics that summarized simulations of several nuclear war scenarios.1 They claim that the primary problem in a nuclear war is firestorms from cities lofting smoke to the stratosphere, where it would cover the earth, depressing surface temperatures and food production worldwide for several years, leading to mass starvation; over 90% of the deaths would be in countries not involved in the nuclear exchange. They estimated that after a relatively minor nuclear war between India and Pakistan, roughly 40% of humanity would starve to death if they did not die of something else sooner. Roughly 80% of humanity would similarly die after a nuclear war between the US and Russia with the death rate in the US, Europe, and Russia being roughly 99 percent.2  On 2026-03-03 the Military Religious Freedom Foundation reported that they had received over 200 complaints from over 50 US military installations that their commanders had ordered them to, e.g., share the good news that Jesus had anointed President Trump to initiate Armageddon in Iran -- thereby bringing on the Rapture -  second coming of Christ.3 Worse, Daniel Ellsberg, of Pentagon Papers fame, insisted that the "nuclear football", with top secret nuclear launch scenarios and codes carried by a military aide next to the President and Vice President, had to be a hoax: Otherwise a single nuclear detonation over Washington, DC, when both the President and Vice President were in town, could prevent a nuclear response.4 And Secretary of Defense Hegseth has been holding monthly prayer meetings in the Pentagon during working hours, with many expressing concern that they may be passed over for promotion or future DoD contracts for not attending.5 If Hegseth and, e.g., his appointee as head of the Strategic Command agreed that Jesus had anointed them to initiate Armageddon with a nuclear war with Russia, they might be able to do it.  Trump said, "A nuclear weapon should never be allowed to be used by anybody." The criminal actor will then send what appears to be a genuine photo or video of the victim's loved one, which upon close inspection often reveals inaccuracies when compared to confirmed photos of the loved one. Examples of these inaccuracies include missing tattoos or scars and inaccurate body proportions. This week is the anniversary of two events which define the State in the U.S., both in the past and today. In 1969, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Chicago Police Dept. assassinated Black Panther leader Fred Hampton and his associate Mark Clark while they slept in Hampton's home. Hampton had been an up and coming, inspiring, leader in the Chicago community and worked to build coalition with a variety of groups in the area. The FBI had viewed Hampton as a potential “messiah,” who needed to be “neutralized.” When the COINTELPRO program was exposed, it was clear that the FBI had worked to eliminate domestic enemies like Hampton and the Black Panther Party. In 1980, the rape and murder of four Catholic missionary nuns by U.S. backed death squads sparked international outrage and criticism of President Carter's support for the government in El Salvador. Carter initially suspended aid to the regime, he later reinstated it, and President Reagan continued this support. Later in the 1990s, when documents were declassified revealing the extent to which the U.S. support torture and terror campaigns, former NJ congressman Robert Torricelli said that it was "now clear that while the Reagan Administration was certifying human rights progress in El Salvador they knew the terrible truth that the Salvadoran military was engaged in a widespread campaign of terror and torture".Despite a history of these events, the movement continues. As Hampton said, "You can jail a revolutionary, but you can't jail the revolution."In 2025, the Trump administration is sending ICE to terrorize undocumented people in communities across the country, designating dissidents as "terrorists" and provoking war with Venezuela. Last Thursday, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced it had made arrests in a pair of investigations into illegal gambling involving National Basketball Association (NBA) players and coaches. Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier is among those charged in the illegal sports betting case, while Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups and several others are charged with participating in rigged poker games with ties to the mafia. According to FBI Director Kash Patel, the bureau has arrested 34 people as a result of the multi-year investigations, which covered 11 states and involved tens of millions of dollars. On Friday, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents raided the Maryland home and Washington, D.C. office of John Bolton, former national security adviser during President Donald Trump's first term. According to a senior U.S. official, the search was connected to an investigation into Bolton's possible use of a private email server to share classified documents with his wife and daughter while he was working in the White House. On Monday night, the Department of Justice (DOJ) released a joint memo with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) affirming prior findings in the investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The memo concludes that materials related to the Epstein case prove that he had committed suicide in 2019, that Epstein did not have a “client list,” and that no other parties were materially implicated as a result of the government's investigation.
