Welcome back to Iron Sights! Today, CeCe, Jeff and I talk about 5X5 Training and the pros/cons that come along with it. You've probably heard of this type of training and all the muscle building and increased strength promises that come with it. In this episode, we're going to break it down for you so that you can implement it into your strength training routine the right way. 5x5 training is a strength training method that focuses on using compound exercises to target multiple muscle groups at once. The program is named because it includes five sets of five reps that are performed for each exercise. The program is designed to increase overall strength and muscle mass by using heavy weights and progressive overload. The exercises typically include the squat, deadlift, bench press, and military press. The key to success with 5x5 training is consistent adherence to the program and progressive increase in weight over time.Timestamps:00:00 Exercises Selection 01:58 Implement The 5 By 5 Routine 05:03 Strength Training Recovery 07:21 Results Of 5x5 08:35 Scott Howell's Experience With 5x5 13:27 CeCe's Experience19:16 Learn The Basics 22:37 Cons Of 5x523:42 Loads25:31 Where To Start29:45 Increase Muscle 32:39 Movements Patterns 37:01 Bilateral Movements39:32 Rotational Components42:00 Overview Of The Routine Red Dot Fitness Training Programs: https://www.rdftrainonline.comOnline membership (Full Access To All Programs & Virtual Coaching):https://www.reddotfitness.net/online-membershipVirtual Coaching:https://www.reddotfitness.net/virtual-coachingSelf-Guided Programs:https://www.reddotfitness.net/Self-Guided-Programs1Connect With Us:Website - https://ironsightspodcast.com/Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/ironsightspodcast/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@ironsightspodcast

Episode Highlights: Bradley discusses The Insurance Guys Podcast, how it got started, and what the podcast's hook is. (6:04) Bradley believes that people should create content around their passions, and that podcasting is a great way to do it. (9:51) Scott and Bradley explain that consistency is the key to having more than 300 episodes and that skipping an episode for a week is a good litmus test to see how many people are waiting for that show to drop. (13:29) Bradley mentions that he and Scott often batch record, putting them months ahead of schedule. (16:41) Scott explains that his sole focus is to provide outstanding material every Wednesday at 6:00 a.m. (27:23) According to James, many absolute rockstars are hidden in plain sight, and Vonda Copeland, who has 9 offices with over 50 employees, is one of them. (30:26) Bradley explains that, from a content viewpoint, it is becoming easier for non-content producers to generate content, therefore if you want to be an elite content generator, you must elevate your game. (50:14) Scott shares that One City World Tour is bringing in speakers from all over the country to offer real, tactical, “go back to your office and implement this type of” material. (58:21) James commends the people of Florida for passing special session legislation that limits the assignment of benefits. (1:03:51) Key Quotes: “Back when we started, we were the only show that the podcast wasn't a funnel to get you into some sort of coaching or training or something of that nature. The podcast is the product. So, therefore, we can leave it all out on the field, per se.” - Bradley Flowers “I always wanted the opportunity to start something where we could help other agents get better every single week.” - Scott Howell “If you want to be an elite content creator, you've got to step your game up.” - Bradley Flowers
