While Voice AI is all the rage now, it wasn't a hot sector in 2017. After Dylan graduated from YC, VCs rejected him. He couldn't raise a round. They all assumed Google would do it. So he raised what he could from angels and made it work for the next 3 years. He's now built the world's most accurate Speech AI model. He's grown to 5,000 customers and raised $115M in venture capital. Last quarter, he raised a $50M Series C from Accel. Just this week, Assembly launched Universal-1, their most powerful speech recognition model to date. Trained on over 12.5 million hours of multilingual audio data, Universal-1 is 22% more accurate than APIs from Azure/AWS/Google and has 30% fewer hallucinations than competing models. In this episode, we go through how Dylan came up with the idea, how he saw Gen AI coming long before others, and what he did in the early days to grow to $1M in ARR.

It affects your sleep and your cognitive ability. We've done studies on cognition and it impairs your cognition, your mood, you get depressed or anxious." - Dr. Rodney Schlosser Avoid Environments That Trigger Sinus Issues "Dairy's probably the number one thing I hear about that creates thick mucus, thick flam, throat clearing... If you can avoid environments that are going to cause, whether you're allergic or not, triggers than do that. Stay in a healthy clean environment. Rinse your nose out with saline and flush things out." - Dr. Rodney Schlosser The Negative Effects of Mouth Breathing "Nasal obstruction will force you to become a mouth breather at night. You can get more cavities because now your mouth is all dry. There's something called the adenoid face. Kids have big adenoids in the back with their tonsils and if it obstructs the nose and they become a mouth breather, it actually changes the shape of their face." - Dr. Rodney Schlosser Links From Today's Show SinuSonic - Use code "JOSH15" for 15% off Dr. Rodney Schlosser David Lewis Dr. Richard Bogan A Decongestant in Many Cold Medicines Is Ineffective Dr. Zachary Soler Sino-Nasal Outcome Test (SNOT) Dr. Stephen Porges Why Being a "Mouth-Breather" Is Bad For You w/James Nestor BREATHE - 33% off with the code “PODCAST33” Josh's Trusted Products | Up To 40% Off Shop All Wellness + Wisdom Approved Products MANNA Vitality - 20% off with the code "JOSH20" Mendi.io - 20% off with the code "JOSH20" BREATHE - 33% off with the code “PODCAST33” MitoZen – 10% off with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” Organifi –20% off with the code ‘WELLNESSFORCE' PLUNGE - $150 off with the code “WELLNESSFORCE" QI-Shield EMF Device- 20% off with the code "JOSH" SEED Synbiotic - 30% off with the code "JOSHTRENT" BON CHARGE - 15% off with the code "JOSH15" SpectraSculpt - 15% off with the code "JOSH15" SaunaSpace - 10% off with the code "JOSH10" Cured Nutrition CBD - 20% off with the code "WELLNESS FORCE" LiftMode - 10% off with the code "JOSH10" Paleovalley – 15% off with the link only NOOTOPIA - 10% off with the code "JOSH10" Activation Products - 20% off with the code “WELLNESSFORCE” SENSATE - $25 off with the code "JOSH25" BiOptimizers - 10% off with the code "JOSH10" ION - 15% off with the code ‘JOSH1KS' Feel Free from Botanic Tonics - $40 off with the code "WELLNESS40" Essential Oil Wizardry - 10% off with the code "WELLNESSFORCE" ALIVE WATERS - 33% off your first order with the code "JOSH33" DRY FARM WINES - Get an extra bottle of Pure Natural Wine with your order for just 1¢ Drink LMNT – Zero Sugar Hydration: Get your free LMNT Sample Pack, with any purchase Free Resources M21 Wellness Guide - Free 3-Week Breathwork Program with Josh Trent Join Wellness + Wisdom Community About Dr. Rodney Schlosser Rodney J. Today's Topics: 1) Gospel - Lk 9:7-9 - Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying, "John has been raised from the dead"; others were saying, "Elijah has appeared"; still others, "One of the ancient prophets has arisen." But Herod said, "John I beheaded. Who then is this about Whom I hear such things?" And he kept trying to see Him. And so we love the world and all of God's creation in it. But “the world” is also described as opposed to God, opposed to the spirit, opposed to goodness. So which is it? Why stop at 15MW when you can make 18MW turbines? That's a good question to ask Vestas. In the 150th Uptime podcast (wow!), Allen, Joel and Rosemary discuss the CEO's surprising announcement and the market demands, risks, and potentially sneaky corporate strategy behind the scenes. Also in this show, we consider how those 115M blades will hold up at RWE's Thor wind farm, which will be Denmark's largest offshore development. And on Mt. Santis, researchers have shown that "massive" lasers can protect wind turbines from lightning. Is it scalable, and if so, does it make sense? Meanwhile, in Oklahoma and Colorado, two turbines toppled and the internet raced for the best headline - but we want to know how OEMs, insurers, and asset owners will respond. Can they work together to keep wind energy moving forward? Finally, don't miss a special bonus episode highlighting some surprises places to find US Wind Technicians. We have a a, a bonus coming behind this, so it's a super great week for uptime. We're gonna talk about R W B E, selecting Siemens sch MEA for the Thor Wind Farm. Now isn't that the coolest name for a wind farm? Thor. Now, why does America have some cool offshore wind turbine names? Rosemary Rosemary Barnes: and then we're gonna talk about ve who are claiming that they're going to stop at 15 megawatts for their offshore wind turbine, whilst at the same time Ming Yang is already pushing out to 18 megawatts. Joel Saxum: So in, in Switzerland we're gonna visit some of later laser-guided lightning. We've seen this floater on LinkedIn quite a bit where they're firing lasers to, to get lightning to track down the laser. And Alan will kind of give us a brief overview of why he does or does not think, That it's commercially viable for wind turbines. And then jumping into a little bit of a review of GEs finances from the fourth quarter, what we think they mean and then a Bloomberg article about wind turbines taller than the Statue of Liberty falling over. Wanting to understand what that means for the global market. Allen Hall: I'm Allen Hall, president of Weather Guard Lightning Tech, and I'm here with my good friend from Wind Power Lab, Joel Saxum, and soon to be guest host of the fully charged live event in Australia, Rosemary Barnes. And this is the Uptime Wind Energy Podcast. All right. R d B has chosen Siemens ESA 14 dash 2 36 DD offshore Wind turbines. I God, I love that name. And they're sticking with it. Joel? They have not changed the name of their wind turbines, and I can't figure out if someone hasn't like told them, but, all right. Joel Saxum: That's the king out there, Allen Hall: so yeah. So the the r w has chosen them for the Thor Wind Farm in the Danish North Sea, and the Thor farm will be Denmark's largest. Offshore wind farm at roughly one gigawatt capacity once it's completed. So those Siemens ga Mesa turbines are using their patented integral blades. So it's all one piece cast as one piece. Rosemary, I don't know if El ever tried that, but Siemens is doing it and they're 115 meters in length now.

He then moved on to the investment world, working for a large asset manager based out of Newport Beach. 12 years, later, he launched Vanamour Investments, which strategically invests in multifamily communities throughout the United States through syndications and joint ventures with high-net-worth, family office, and institutional investors. Locked On Giants – Daily Podcast On The San Francisco Giants
Did the players just increase their demands? The MLB lockout marches on, and Locked On Giants host Ben Kaspick has the very latest.Ben explores the MLBPA's latest proposal to owners, in which they increased the amount of the pre-arbitration bonus pool from $100M to $115M. On first glace it may appear to be a bigger ask, but the devil is in the details. As Ben describes, the fact that the union is reducing its ask in terms of when players reach arbitration, this is actually a modest concession. The players had been asking for players to reach arbitration after two years of service, but in today's proposal they change it to the top 80 percent of players between two and three years of service (as it is now, the top 22 percent reach arbitration). Ben's quick math reveals that this is at least a $15M per year concession by the players.Ben also discusses the latest with the competitive balance tax, aka the luxury tax. The league is proposing major changes to the penalties for teams exceeding various tiers above the threshold. Ben explains why these are such major changes, and why it's obvious that the players are not on board. The players are proposing a substantially increased threshold; the owners are proposing a slight increase that doesn't even keep up with rates of inflation or increased revenues. Essentially, MLB is proposing something that would effectively become a hard cap. Finally, Ben gets into ESPN/Kiley McDaniel's Top 100 prospects list, which came out yesterday. He discusses the rankings for Marco Luciano, Luis Matos, Kyle Harrison, and Joey Bart. Overall it's a mixed bag. These are relatively disappointing rankings for Luciano and Bart, but relatively optimistic rankings for Matos and Harrison. Thankfully, the Minor Leagues aren't affected by the MLB lockout, so Minor League Spring Training and the Minor League season will proceed as normal.Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors!Built BarBuilt Bar is a protein bar that tastes like a candy bar.
