That's how I would speak that over myself. God made me uniquely different, and He has set forth a plan for me. Not anyone else's story, but my story. That is what I have to aim for.” - Stephanie Reed “I would say, ‘You know what, today, bring on the mistakes so I can learn from them, so I can help others in those situations.' Stephanie Reed Explains RevContent
Fear is not from God, it's from the enemy to keep us from going forward. Yet it can be the most effective tool the enemy uses to prevent us from God's plan for our lives. We can't control our circumstances or even our thoughts of fear, but it's what we do with those circumstances and thoughts that matter. We give fear more power over us than it should ever have and we want to see those bonds break as more women step into freedom. Join us as we talk about steps we can take to conquer our fears and live out God's purpose for our lives. [00:01 - 04:59] Opening Segment Welcome back with me, Suzi, and Stephanie Before we start, if you haven't listened to our previous episodes, I recommend you check them out! We've covered forgiveness, the power of our words, comparison, and many more topics. Stephanie, Suzi, and I share 3 words that describe who we are today We introduce today's topic: Fear [05:00 - 14:12] FEAR: False Evidence Appearing Real Fear is the enemy's favorite tool to keep us from God's plan for our lives. 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us that God has not given us the spirit of fear. The enemy cannot physically hurt you, he can only scare you. Selling the Dream: A Podcast for Resort & 2nd Home Real Estate Agents
This week on Selling the Dream, Tom gets to chat with Stephanie Reed of Sun Valley, Idaho. Stephanie gives tons of ideas for maximizing your potential as an agent in a 2nd Home Community. She also shares some great tips for connecting with your community and making lasting connections with potential clients. Stephanie has called Sun Valley home for 41 years. Having grown up in the Wood River Valley, she can truly attest to the unique quality of life and sense of community the area provides. This knowledge has allowed her to provide clients with great insights to the market trends of the valley. Having started her real estate career in Seattle, Washington and in Charlotte, North Carolina for six years, both large metropolitan markets, she realized she wanted to be part of the Wood River Valley again and enjoy all it has to offer. Stephanie returned with her competitive edge to the Wood River Valley to continue that success, and moving back to her hometown, Stephanie was quickly immersed back into her active lifestyle of bike riding, hiking and skiing. She contributes her success to keeping her clients informed from start to finish, her strong work ethic, and being able to listen to her clients' needs and wants, thus finding them just what they are looking for. #152: Rachel Cruze is a speaker, debt-free evangelist, part-time co-host of the Dave Ramsey show, known for being the inspiration behind the book “Careless at the Carnival”, and is soon to be a NYTimes best selling author for a book to be released on April 22, 2014 - Smart Money Smart Kids. MoneyPlan SOS listeners wanted to know what she thought about these questions: Chris Pilon from Dadrenaline podcast: Aside from not paying commission, what did your parents do when you or Denise or Daniel did not do their chores? Karen Austin posted on Facebook: We have 8 year old twins and they earn money for household chores. We've been heavily focused on savings plus tithing, but feel we need to let them spend a little. Did Dave let you have spending money? Was it a percentage of what she earned? Garnet Eldred (who shares the same birthday as me) asked: What does she use her 'blow' money on? Stephanie Reed wants to know: When did she start her own budget? And did her parents make her buy her own clothes and toiletries, etc. to help her learn how to budget before she left the nest? If so, what did she think of it and what would she change? Josh Levitt: We all struggle keeping up with the budget, not over spending or some aspect of being financially Smart. What is the toughest part of "sticking to the plan" for you personally? Kim Nice had a bunch of questions, but I only had time for one: What kind of vacations do you go on? Jen McDonough (aka: @TheIronJen): Do you see entitlement in the younger generation as being more or less than the parental generation? Scott Maderer: What is the Number 1 piece of advice you’d give for raising kids that will become great ADULTS? Special thanks to @MrJoshuaBrown and ArunWisconsin for the 5-star iTunes reviews. Your next money challenge: Find as many opportunities to show your kids how you SAVE money. The ratio for how many times my daughter sees us spend money to save money is about 1,000 to 1. There are many more opportunities for her to see us pay for something but she never gets to see the money going into our bank account, mutual funds, or 401(k). Some suggestions: Put coins in a piggy bank (I have a coin jar) Take physical dollars to the bank Have them click "send" for your mutual fund or online savings account For more information, visit the show notes at
