SÄSONGSSTART: Janet Müller var en 21-årig tysk student som valde att ge sig ut på ett äventyr och flytta till England år 2012 för att studera vid Brighton University. Men under våren 2015, precis innan hennes efterlängtade examen började Janets beteende förändras och hon blev till slut inlagd på en psykiatrisk avdelning på sjukhuset Mill View Hospital. Episode #069Patrick starts the show by pushing Janets' buttons to make her laugh. And they go into how she gets happy feet when she saves money. From there Patrick welcomes the new listeners and they tell you about today's episode. Yes, it really is an odd name, right up until you listen.They always seem to find humor in any situation. No matter how serious it is and how expensive the actual subject is. And of course, they get into the actual subject of chrome.  People ask truckers a lot of questions about how much they spend on a semi and how much they spend on the chrome they add to them.  They both felt that decking your Rig out with extra fancy paint and tons of chrome really got a huge boost with the show Chrome Shop Mafia. That was back around 1999. Which somehow leads them down yet another rabbit hole about show horses and movies. After they came back around to fancy chrome and chicken lights, they settled down to chrome again.They pulled out some basic examples of prices from a tried-and-true friend of the show. They went through individual prices and gave an approximate total price for example. They managed to give out some useful information in spite of themselves. And explain how you can spend less or more and that you can buy things a little at a time.They finish things up by being so darn useful you will be surprised! It is like they forgot how to joke. Probably because they both do Love those Big Rigs and miss driving them. They talk about barefoot driving, where you put your seat on the air, how you hold the steering wheel and of course, Janets' drawl and why.So, they begin with the discussion of load capacity and how to figure it out. From the weight of your empty tractor-trailer that is full of fuel of fuel & DEF, but not loaded. What else do you have on the load when you weigh and where do you weigh? They of course get sidetracked by stories of the past, Patrick driving, Janets' Dad being a flirt and more. They go on to discuss finding a load (upcoming episode) and they keep rolling into the FMCSA.Now, if you are wondering what the FMCSA is, that is the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. They talk about how to fill out your Bill of Lading, placard placement and usage, tiedowns. Who is responsible for what regarding what is on your trailer and load.As they continue laughing about how different they drove and loaded, they also discuss routes, (upcoming episode), multiple stops, special instructions, falsifying information, legal issues and more.  From there they went on to walk about different types of trailers, loads, and how driving and living out of the same city they never ran across each other. They talked about some of the loads that family and friends hauled, and chances they both had but never seemed to take.From there they went on talking more about favorite loads, locations, customers and laughs of course. Patrick was a flat-bedder' at heart and Janet definitely had her heart in the reefer trailers. She liked the hum of that motor running all night long. Patrick manages to get Janet all riled up now and then, especially when he gets her to talk about “stupid people” so we know that life is normal for the two of them!
