The next sequel we are reviewing is "Robocop 3" and this week we are talking with Actress Jodi Long. This interview is one of the earlier ones we did and I thought I lost it but found it a few months back. Jodi actually knew Peter Weller from growing up and performing in NYC and has a funny story about that. I always loved her scene-stealing role in “The Hot Chick” along with Sullivan and Son and so many great roles over the years. Jodi recently won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Fiction Program for her role on Netflix's Dash & Lily. I remember being so nervous chatting with her because it was one of the first interviews I did, but the interview was great hearing about her show biz parents, her appearance on Broadway at the age of 7, Asian representation in Hollywood, and so much more. Amazing chat with an amazing woman. It was in Chicago where his love for the arts began. As a little boy, Rico and his 3rd grade class went to a touring performance of The Wiz, starring Stephanie Mills. Even at that early age, Rico sat there mesmerized and amazed at the performances. Memories from that performance stuck in the back of his mind and would not surface until a few years later when he and his family moved to Berkeley, California. The bug bit again and Rico started performing in several Independent films and theatre productions around the Bay Area. Rico also majored in Theatre Arts at San Francisco State University. Eventually Rico moved to Los Angeles and has been blessed to have many film, television, voice over and theatre credits to his name. In this episode a verbal barrage is unleashed on Rocco and Moonlight Mike. Just one ring of the "Doorbell" and Comedian Gary Cannon arrives at the studio on a mission. Do Rocco and Moonlight even get a word in? There was no need to warm the audience up for this episode because Gary is in the house, warm up comedian for "Conan", "Dr. Ken", and "Sullivan and Son". The tire cast has fun in the hot tub with Gary as he blasts his cannon and fires away at Rocco and Moonlight ALL episode long. The Cast will discuss some key issues within their new segment, "Love it, or Leave it", such as "Airport Security", the "BET Awards", and the "Bidet". We also talk about "Podcasting", and Gary's Podcast alonside Steve Byrne called, "The Gentleman's Dojo". Come along for a ride with us on this high energy episode and enjoy an original song called, "Slide", by Singer/Songwriter James Byous. He decided to move to LA after a few years in the Bay Area and immediately started working some of the best clubs in southern California including the Improv. But it was back in 2003 when Gary attended a taping of the Late Late Show w/ Craig Kilborn that things changed. Gary saw a comic entertaining the audience before the show and realized that would be a great fit for his persona. His first warm up gig in fact was at the Kilborn show. It was that show that lead to many others including Craig Ferguson, Carson Daly, Dancing w/ the Stars, Americas Got Talent and others. But it was in 2011 when comedian Steve Byrne called him to do warm up on his new TBS show called Sullivan & Son when Gary jumped from doing warm up on talk shows to sitcoms. During Sullivans three season run, Gary and Steve became close friends and has lead to Gary opening for Steve on the road. Their chemistry and comedic bond was the inspiration for the podcast. In addition to working with Steve, Gary is proud to say he has been to Iraq entertaining the troops and is currently the audience warm up for the Conan O'Brien show on TBS.
