He talks about juggling the needs of your family with settling into a new job while adapting to a culture that is very foreign to you. He and Clare discuss some of the challenges they faced when moving to the USA. In particular, the ones that caught them a bit unawares. For example, surprising cultural differences, realising you do not have all of the rights you were expecting to have, dealing with bureaucracy and additional expenses. Getting the timing of the paperwork, travel arrangements and finding a home is difficult and things rarely go as planned. Moving to a developed, English-speaking country is still not easy. Sometimes they are not allowed to work too. Most days, something happens that reminds you that you are from outside.  If you want to live abroad, make it your intention to do so, instead of thinking of it as a dream. Tunji is the president, Ama is the community outreach coordinator, and Sarriang is the Undocumented Immigrant Support manager. The African Center for Community Development is a nonprofit organization that promotes the well-being of the immigrant African community in Madison and Dane County. The organization was developed by members of the African Association of Madison in 2014 and became active in 2018. On this episode I'm joined by Tunji Adeniyi-Jones the London born, Nigerian painter whose lived and worked in New York for the past severalyears. Tunji is back from a long stint in Lagos when we sit down to talk about his experiences, life in Lagos, the importance of traveling, the commercial art world, and the importance of professional development for emerging artists. We bumped into each other at the opening for Africa Fashion at the Brooklyn museum a week earlier and also shared our thoughts on the importance of this moment in history regarding African diasporic cultures across the globe.

Today we had a chance to talk to Tunji Adebayo aka The Most Blessed Man Alive regarding his dream to build a community of 100 black men to commit themselves to Flow State through his company Rhyme LLC. Last year Tunji set out on a journey to post an inspirational message on his social media platforms for everyday of the year. Tunji discusses the impact of the daily inspirational drops and what it means for him to have inspired so many people.
