Just one big match of the season to go then as we near the start of June. Wembley hosts the National League Play-off final on Sunday and we look ahead to that with a brief interview with Southend United manager Kevin Maher. As cool as ever, just one win from getting his club back to the Football League and of course he's taking each game as it comes. From the Non League Paper Jon Couch helps me provide some insight and comment on the big news of non league this week plus as ever a throw forward to what will be in this weekend's Non League Paper.
“HITCHCOCK's COLLABORATORS FROM THE GOLDEN AGE” - (068) ALFRED HITCHCOCK, the iconic “Master of Suspense,” loved to work with certain actors over and over again. Often, he had very complicated relationships with his actors. (Just ask TIPPI HEDREN!) However, he managed to form great working relationships with stars like JAMES STEWART, GRACE KELLY, INGRID BERGMAN, and CARY GRANT. This week, we take a fun look at some of the actors who he loved to work with. So, which actor did he put in more of his films than anyone else? The answer may surprise you. In this episode Nathan, Greg, and Kevin Maher a great thinker and Harford County Young Life leader talk about the importance of people over arguments. A little reflection, a little thought provoking conversation, and a lot of Jesus.
This one is for everybody working to strike that balance between caring for yourself and caring for your "family of origin." A forgotten and surprisingly dramatic SNL spinoff directed by Harold Ramis in 1995, Stuart Saves His Family spoke to a younger Kevin Maher as an adult from a family where alcoholism was an issue. It even factors thematically into Kevin's new humor book, Santa Doesn't Need Your Help, illustrated by Joe Dator. Then, Jordan has one quick thing about feeling uncomfortably seen by Banshees of Inisherin.***With Jordan Crucchiola and Kevin Maher
This is the second in a two-episode series exploring the legacy of Daisaku Ikeda and the practice of dialogue. In this episode, we ask how wisdom, courage, and compassion is lived and practiced through music and dialogue. In particular, we look at how genuine dialogue might bring out the best in ourselves as we look to bring out the best in the other. Together with Olivier Urbain, Kevin Maher, and Anri Tanabe, we explore how this is lived out at the Min-on Music Research Institute and the Ikeda Center for Peace, Learning and Dialogue. The Music & Peacebuilding Podcast is hosted by Kevin Shorner-Johnson at Elizabethtown College. On this episode, hosts Christopher Funderburg and John Cribbs, we're joined by our old friend filmmaker, comedian and author Kevin Maher. He's here to promote his new Christmas book, the charming Santa Doesn't Need Your Help. Illustrated by New Yorker cartoonist Joe Dator, the book is a traditional rhyming children's book while at the same time deliberately engaging with questions of aging and responsibility that are distinctly adult in nature. It's a free-ranging, not-safe-for-work conversation that touches on missed Indiana Jones casting opportunities, Huey Lewis antagonizing audiences, a failed Tobe Hooper project, Clara Peller of “where the beef?” fame, and Klaus Kinski's balls - and that's all within the first 10 minutes. They do not, however, discuss Sylvia Sidney. Merry Christmas everybody! This is one for the books! Yup! The one and only Kevin Maher and I are getting nostalgic, a little bit catty, and a lotta bit deep this week. We dig into managing difficult personalities on set, we dish out some seriously cringeworthy industry horror stories, and we talk about knowing when to quit… Which, for Kevin, is almost never. Please enjoy this conversation with Kevin Maher. Kevin who owns Wagging Tails Studios, a video production company in Edmonton was invited to take part of the NHL Playoff Bubble, World Juniors Bubble and the Briar Curling Bubble in Calgary. I wanted to talk to Kevin about his experience living in those bubbles. A very unique experience and one that will likely not happen again. A report on a string of murders by Carl Phillips. That is, a report by Carl Phillips into a string of murders committed by someone else. Carl did not commit the murders. He's an award-winning reporter and a great professional and family man. Produced in association with Martha's Vineyard public radio. Sorry to the Phillips family for implying that he is a mass killer.WITH: Doug Bost, Josh Weinstein, Jeff Ward, Elisa DeCarlo, Mary Micari, Doug Tysk and Kevin Maher. Script by Jeff Ward.

What does God need with a light show? Why is Belloq digging in the wrong place? How is Indy so smoking hot? Our guest Kevin Maher invokes the Blues Brothers to help us understand.
Indy fulfills the chalkboard prophecy from earlier in the film as he places the Staff of Ra and marvels at the German graffiti, all of which reminds our guest Kevin Maher of a rightfully forgotten classic film.
Indy may not know much about archeology, but he sure knows how to play with sand. With the help of our guest Kevin Maher, we try hard not to touch our own hole jokes with a five-kadam pole.
What do you get the pharaoh who has everything, including the Ark of the Covenant? A confusing Map Room! Our returning guest Kevin Maher tries to dust the sand off our confusion while Pete explains what's really going on with Sallah and those yelling Germans. And Gerry says "rumpus" again.
Indy hides a staff from Tom in plain sight as our guest Kevin Maher from Kevin Geeks Out joins us on our decent into the Map Room! Bonus(?): Pete and Gerry sing their favorite Egyptian dig tune.
