Jonny and Mark conclude their retrospective rewatch of "The Venture Bros." by watching and discussing "Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart" and reflecting on their year long misadventure.
Good morning, afternoon, and evening! Get ready to hop back into the world of super-science and organized villainy because on today's episode of The Dudez, Bo and Gibby are talking Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart! The long-awaited conclusion to the beloved and criminally underrated series promises to answer all lingering questions such as who is the boys' mom, why does The Monarch hate Rusty, and how did Brick Frog become so cool? But there's an even more pressing question: can you successfully wrap up 20 years of content in a crispy amount of time? Tune in to find out! Also included: the song of the summer as decided by two old men, Melvin, and an open invitation to JK Simmons.
The Venture Bros. is one of my favorite shows of all time and after a TWENTY YEAR run it finally comes to an end with this off-the-wall final movie streaming on Max. Radiant is a full 8th Season of the show boiled down into a 2 hour movie and it's got everything you want. All the answers that you've been waiting for are here and it boils down to a message and theme that is very fitting for a show about two goofy adventuring brothers. It's all about family. TOON IN NOW!

It's still hot out there, so let's have our annual Summer Spectacular, right before Labor Day! Shane, Chris, Murd and Ian start off with some strike related delays for Dune 2, and then all but Murd give their non-spoiler thoughts on Blue Beetle. Discussion then deviates to Ian's review of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, followed by a post-season finale breakdown of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. Comics discussed include Shane checking out Image's big surprise, Void Rivals, as well as the new Green Arrow and Green Lantern, and Superman: Space Age. Ian tackles Mark Waid and Bryan Hitch's Superman: The Last Days of Lex Luthor, Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent 1-6, and issue 2 of Ultimate Invasion. Murd flies through space to uncover the secrets of Star Wars: Dark Droids and comes back home for Big Jim Miller's Rental Classics Vol 1 and 2. And Chris remains current with the new Black Panther series, What If: Dark Spider Gwen, Superman Lost, Star Trek Vol 1: Godshock, Parker Girls, and Brubaker and Phillips' Night Fever, and goes retro with Green Arrow: Longbow Hunters, some Greatest Battles of the X-Men, and Uncanny X-Men's Proteus arc and The Dark Phoenix Saga. Finally, Ian gives his thoughts on Venture Brothers: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart, a Muddle the Murd, some World of Toys, and more! (2:32:45)

It's time for another Star Trek movie! We're looking at Wrath of Khan, the supposed best Star Trek movie, which means we'll also be watching the Star Trek episode which introduced us to 90's icon Khan Noonien Singh, a man who thinks himself Kirk's greatest nemesis. Buster Keaton released two features in 1924 - “Sherlock Jr.”, a film that was considered a commercial disappointment at the time but has grown in stature over the past century, and “The Navigator'', a colossal box office hit that hasn't aged nearly as well. Actor and lover of old-timey things James Urbaniak makes his long-awaited debut on the pod (originally promised back in our Shyamalan days!) and we're getting into the billiards bits, boat gags, razor puns, and movie magic that make this double feature so special. Dr. Leonard L. Bailey revisits the first xenotransplant of baboon heart to a human baby - (Baby Fae). A xenotransplant is a transplant between species. Transplanted organs are called grafts, hence a xenograft is an organ transplanted from one species to another. Xenotransplantation is any procedure that involves the transplantation, implantation, or infusion into a human recipient of either (a) live cells, tissues, or organs from a nonhuman animal source, or (b) human body fluids, cells, tissues, or organs that have had ex vivo contact with live nonhuman animal cells, tissues or organs. The development of xenotransplantation is, in part, driven by the fact that the demand for human organs for clinical transplantation far exceeds the supply.
