This week we got ecstatic with Bestival curator and creator Mr Rob Da bank as he brought his breathwork to Ibiza and the dome of Pikes for the final edition of Cosmic Pineapple. It has been an incredible summer for the man who brought the very last round of free parties to ibiza and Rob explains that breathwork was a natural progression for him as he has been meditating since his twenties. He says Noise is not a drawback for him and he can meditate anywhere these days, from nightclubs to Mosquito fuelled fields. Catch the full Episode with Robby as he gives us his perspective of Ibiza after all these years partying here back in the day as a now 50 year old father of four. www.theresetrebel.com

Series ThreeThis episode of #TheNewAbnormal podcast features Jonathan Wise, co-founder of Purpose Disruptors, who believes that the advertising industry needs to step into the responsibility of helping to address our climate and ecological emergency. His background is as a strategic planner, with 15 years experience in major London advertising agencies and a Masters degree in Sustainability & Responsibility. Jonathan then co-founded the ‘Purpose Disruptors' group, whose goal is to create a bottom up movement within the ad industry, that will act in solidarity to meaningfully tackle climate change. He's also a regular public speaker e.g. at D&AD, the Austrian Embassy, Bestival, the MBA programme at Imperial College London, and ‘MayDay', an anarchist's resource centre. I found his views to be a compelling insight into leading-edge thinking about the actions that need to be taken regarding the climate & ecological emergency, and the role that adland (in particular) needs to play in order to enact a positive and constructive role.

Verity will be there with mics and cameras to document such a fun event. "Performing is everything," says Danielle Moore, and you can tell when she's on stage. The Crazy P front-woman is one of the most cherished and acclaimed vocalists in live music. When she is on stage at the likes of The Big Chill, Bestival, XOYO or Wilde Renate, belting out all manner of catchy cosmic sounds, you cannot fail to be captivated by her energy and style. "When I'm performing I feel like I've stepped into my alter ego and am able to take on any mood. It's very empowering to become detached from my own slightly vulnerable self." It is that charming confidence and that unique exchange of energy with the crowd which makes her every performance an utter thrill.

Tasha first made her name as a DJ in the drum & bass community, with her mixes being aired by DJ Flight on BBC 1Xtra and Storm making her resident at her Feline night, she became a firm part of the community, going onto play regularly at Renegade Hardware and across Europe. A dedicated head to the core, her exploratory experiences raving at London's techno nights, being behind the counter, selling records at BM Soho and listening to more techno started to make their way into her sets and radio shows when she started out with her residency on Rinse FM. Radio has been a backbone of Tasha's approach as a DJ - expressing her appreciation for electronic music over the course of 4 years on Rinse FM followed by a 3 year residency on Radar Radio. Tasha's DJing style matches this textured background of her influences and has developed into a master-flow of form - weaving tunes together seamlessly from her bass informed home of the UK alongside four four techno forms born in Berlin and Detroit. With an accomplished and atmospheric hold on the dancefloor, her sound is wholly affecting and has taken her to some of the best festivals and clubs in key cities around the world from London to Australia, including Tresor, Glastonbury, Bestival and is a regular at fabric and Corsica Studios. This episode I was lucky enough to have a old good knees up with a friend I've got to know working in the video biz; Director of Photography / DJ / music producer / editor / creator extraordinaire Arlen Figgis! Growing up in an incredibly creative household and leaving school at 16 to pursue DJing and rave culture during the birth of the drum and bass scene, it was clear Arlen was never going to have a boring life. Since his early days DJing at Kool FM, he's filmed years of Gumball 3000 with the likes of Dirty Sanchez and Tony Hawk, toured Europe making cult skate film Zootopia, and even built a stage that now tours UK music festivals like Latitude, Boomtown and Bestival, so it's no surprise that Arlen had more than a few stories to share when I joined him in his incredible self-built studio at his house in North London. If you want to check out Arlen's work or get in touch with him, be sure to check out his instagram @arlenrok and website www.arlenfiggis.com which also has photos of his amazing studio that I fail to do justice in describing at the top of the episode. Finally, make sure you check out www.shack.events/ to find out which UK festival Arlen's awesome Shack will be rocking next. Thanks as always for listening and I'll catch you in the next episode!

Most summers you can catch her playing sets across all kinds of festival stages at Glastonbury, Bestival, Truefest, Shindig, to name a few, plus she presents her own stages at Boomtown and Beatherder as an extension to her long-standing club promotion called Madame Electrifie's Discotech. She's toured Australia and France plus alongside DJing, she hosts a monthly show for Data Transmission Radio and is a regular contributor to BBC Music Introducing. Having created a deep impression on the acoustic blues roots and Americana scene with his last two Nashville recorded albums, Harleys gritty electric album ‘Roll With The Punches’, recorded in a remote chapel deep in the wilds of Pembrokeshire, takes country blues riffs to the electric bottleneck slide guitar and serves them with sweet vocal harmonies. It features some of the UK’s musicians including Rex Horan on Bass, Harry Harding on drums and Jonny Henderson on Hammond organ. This year Martin is nominated as Acoustic Blues Artist of the year and Instrumentalist of the year at the UK Blues Awards. Music Rader placed him #7 in the World Greatest Blues Guitarist poll. In 2018 Martin Harley was ranked #16 in the World’s Best Acoustic Guitarist in Total Guitar Magazine and he was nominated as Instrumentalist of the Year at the Americana Music Association UK Awards. If success can be measured by growing global demand to attend Martin’s dynamic live performances, then perhaps his touring schedule is proof of that. He recently played to a full house at the Union Chapel in Islington, London and has appeared at Edmonton, Vancouver, Canmore and Calgary Folk Festivals in Canada, Glastonbury Festival, Bestival and Beautiful Days in the UK, numerous European and US tours and events including the Americana Music Association UK’s AmericanaFest in London, The Bluebird in Nashville and Tønder in Denmark. martinharley.com

Rob da Bank has been getting the party started for decades, ever since he first started DJing in the 1990s. But one of the biggest casualties of the Covid-19 crisis has been live music and festivals, and with the 2021 summer festival season now in doubt, we caught up with Rob to found how he has coped with this radical change in his life. We chat to Rob about how he's managing with homeschooling his four sons at home in the Isle of Wight, and why being able to spend time outdoors and in nature is keeping him going. As the co-founder, along with his wife Josie, of legendary festivals Bestival and Camp Bestival, we also talk about the sense of connection and belonging that people get from festivals, how they're nourishing for our souls and how we're all missing those release valves in our lives because of the lockdowns. Rob has moved into meditation teaching in the past few years, and so we also talk to him about how he's shifted his focus from making people happy through DJing, to helping them discover their true self through meditation. Rob and Josie now run Sleep Retreat, an ‘antidote to 21st century living' where yoga and meditation provide a calm respite from our over-screened worlds. https://sleepretreat.net Thanks so much to Rob for talking to us – we hope you enjoy it. How to Cope is hosted by writer Becky Howard and psychotherapist Lucy Clyde. You can follow us on Twitter @_beckyhoward @lucysclyde @cope_podcastThank you so much for listening. Oliver Veysey (The Railway Man) and Bryn Higgins (Black Mirror / Electricity) join host Giles Alderson (The Dare) to chat about their latest film Access All Areas which was shot at Bestival music festival and stars Ella Purnell, Jordan Stephens, Georgie Henley, Jason Flemying and Phil Daniels. For one of his first jobs in film we learn how Oliver, while working as Robert de Niro's assistant on Starfish had to make the best Martini or risk being fired. How he got a assistant job at Working Title after cold calling every film company he could. Bryn talks about his background in documentaries and how they are a great way into feature films. How and why he made Unconditional - an LGBTQ movie and from there made the brilliant Electricity starring Anges Deyn His process of working with actors “The camera photographs thoughts so if you think it right, you are there". And how he would rather have a floor plan rather than story board. Making sure to block the scenes with the DOP in the room. Oliver's experience producing The Railway man and how having a great mentor (in his case, Andy Patterson) is the best training a producer can have. How it took 14 years to get it made. Even with Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman on board there was still no guarantee the film would go ahead. Filming at a music festival. Noise levels, crowds, performing live to track on the real stage and other issues of filming at a festival full of mud, blood and kids How learning from making the Bourne Ultimatum helped shoot the crowd scenes in AAA and trying not to pick a toilet people were having sex in also helps. A:M afterhours 11pm - 11am OR LONGER every Friday night / Saturday morning!A:M's been at the forefront of Friday night/Saturday morning clubbing for over 14 years and is London's longest running - and best - after-hours' party. The secret of its success has always been its ability to constantly reinvent itself, pushing boundaries to maintain an enviable reputation for always being fresh and current. This week we welcome the awaited return of the D'Johnny all night long series, and he has invited a very special guest to join him, NIC FISHER!DJ/Promoter Nic Fisher has been an integral part of the London music scene for over a decade.Having spent much of his youth clubbing his way around London from Bugged Out to DTPM, and on to Bar Rhumba, his career as a DJ was a logical progression as he clearly established a name for himself by blending the different genres which he adored. Nic cut his teeth as a DJ playing alongside the established Swedish DJ/ Producer Per QX. He has played to packed dance floors at Wet Yourself, Trailer Trash, Fabric and the infamous Trade 18th Birthday, but more recently in New York, Sysiphos in Berlin, UnderBorn in Stockholm and at festivals such as Glastonbury, Lovebox and Bestival. Nic has played alongside Tiga, Dj Hell, Ivan Smagghe, James Murphy and Arnaud Rebotini. In 2007 Nic co-founded GutterSlut, an anything goes celebration in an East London Strip Club. A niche was quickly filled – a party which perfectly served up banging electro-tech on one floor and roof raising disco on another.Stylistically Nicolas is not restricted to one genre, ranging from nu-disco, deep house and techno.06.03.15A:M TUROCHARGEDD'JOHNNY - EXTENDED SET - NIC FISHERA:M HOUSETERRY BRYANMISWHITEWarm up: RICHARD JONESHosted by Louise PortDoor Patrol by Ian Michael Luke Turner£3 BEFORE 1AM WITH AD/CONCESSION/NUS/FLYER/GUEST LIST£7 ADVANCE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT https://orangenation.ticketabc.com/events/£12 OTDFIRE CLUBPROTOCOL (LIGHTBOX ENTRANCE)6A SOUTH LAMBETH PLACE SW8 1SPWE'RE 1 MINUTE WALK FROM VAUXHALL BUS AND TUBE STATION.
