She designs her life and business around what lights her up and not on what others might want thus putting herself last! It's all about self-first and really self-love. >>From Selfless to Self-love: A Guide for High Achieving Women that are Introverts, Empaths and Highly Sensitive People to go from Depleted to Dynamic! What is an Audio Summit?Think of it like a 'podcast summit'.Just like an in-person conference or summit or a virtual summit but in audio format (like a podcast!) so you can listen on the go!I will have between 5-11 self-care and self-love experts and introverts, empaths and highly sensitive people that I interview and get tips from to go from depleted to dynamic!~~~~~~~~~~Join the Waitlist for my first Audiobook (also with transcripts) with the same title as the Audio Summit! What's the difference between my Audio Summit and my Audiobook? The Audio Summit will be higher in cost and although I will have transcripts they won't be in a 'book' type of format. Is your business accessible? Do you know what it means to have an accessible business? Quite honestly, though this is something that I've been working toward for years, there are still so many things I don't know about ensuring my business is accessible. That's why I am so excited to have Erin Perkins with Mabely Q on to share more about this extremely important topic. Erin is a former corporate graphic designer turned entrepreneur who also identifies as being deaf and blind. She doesn't let her disabilities hold her back from doing anything, but it is nice when others spend the time to make consuming content and learning more about their businesses just a little bit easier. Listen as she shares more about her mission and the things you need to consider as you transition your business into being more accessible. She also shares what accessibility really means and what she has learned as she's embarked on this journey. Because Erin has learned a lot. She came from the world of print design but is consulting on accessibility for online businesses. She has truly worked to better understand how we can use the tools at our fingertips to reach more people. This is definitely an episode you won't want to miss.Links and Resources:Use this link to get 50% off your first year of HoneyBook https://share.honeybook.com/jennbaysvaConnect with Erin:Mabely Q - https://www.mabelyq.com/LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/mabely-q/about/Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/mabely_q/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/MabelyQConnect with Success Beyond:Success Beyond - https://successbeyondthelens.com/Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/jennbays/Grab your Boundaries Resources - https://view.flodesk.com/pages/5d6d09f19b5f4c0015d956e7Editable Welcome Packet Template -

Thanks for listening! In this episode I speak about how I've been hard on myself for my whole life, since I was a kid and some things that I do now that help me to not be so hard on myself. When I had my breakdown back in 2020, and I discovered the podcast "The HSP Podcast by Julie Bjelland", I learned that it's the absolute worst for sensitives and highly sensitive people to be hard on ourselves. Don't get me wrong, we're all works in progress and it's a "constant battle" and it's easier said than done. Whether it's a day job or a relationship, a friendship or even your current residence, when we get that 'nudge' and it's a whisper, let's not let it get to the 'screaming' inner voice as Oprah says... "listen to the whisper". Life is too short to feel 'uninvited', or 'ignored', or 'unappreciated'. Let's listen from the beginning to that whisper and start to make moves right away. Hello...thanks for listening! Join my Love Letters (Newsletter) here! (Where I send words of encouragement, tips, deals and freebies to you before anyone else!) My 'Work How You Are' (WHYA) Podcast Series has finally arrived, and this is the sixth and final interview! Woohoo!!! Starting the year off right and what better than with 'self-care and support systems in life and in business'! ~~~~~~~~~~~ My Podcast Series/Audio Summit will be talking about 'Working How YOU Are'. I got this idea because a lot of jargon in the online biz world is "this worked for me so it will work for YOU" when we're all individuals and a lot of us are multi-passionates and we don't want to effing "niche down". Lol! I felt like "why do these programs seem to work for everyone else but not me?" "Am I broken?" And "what's wrong with me?" We're not broken y'all...the 'process' is! Because we're all individuals and what works best for one of us doesn't mean that it will work best for all of us. Can I get an Amen? ....for example, I am an introvert, and a highly sensitive person and an empath, a Manifesting-Generator in Human Design and most recently, that I have an ADHD brain (!) One speaker will talk about 'Shiny Object' and why it's not a "bad" thing, One speaker will talk about working with ADHD, And another on working as an Introvert in an Extroverted world, and many more! ~~~~~~~~~~~ I met Punam at the She Podcasts Live event a couple of years back. I remember her vividly because her 'speaking session' was so engaging, and it kept my attention the whole time! From her talking about her family at the beginning to her bingo cards where it gave audience members a chance to answer questions to the way that she spoke with excitement and empathy during her session -- it was one of the best sessions that I've attended at the event not to mention ever. :) And coming from someone that has ADHD, anything that keeps my attention is always a major feat! ;-) After Punam's session I stuck around to talk to her and to let her know how much I enjoyed her session and we've been 'biz buddies' ever since! I hope to have Punam on again to talk more about her 'fighting' for her students as far as education is concerned with a 'no child left behind' type of philosophy, her doctorate degree, as well as growing up in rural Georgia and being the only Indians in the area. We're not broken y'all...the 'process' is! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ I met Michelle a year ago at an entrepreneur type of conference, well actually it was the day after when some of the attendees met for coffee the next morning. It was interesting because my instincts told me not only to attend this conference but also to attend this coffee 'event' the next morning. I almost didn't go to the coffee event but boy am I glad that I did! I ended up meeting Michelle and three other wonderful ladies...we became fast friends and the rest is history! I ended up joining Michelle's community called 'Say Yes to Desire' (formerly called 'Planner Girl Insiders') and I must say Michelle is a breath of fresh air! She designs her life and business around what lights her up and not on what others might want thus putting herself last! It's all about self-first and really self-love.

With Erin Perkins It might be something you accidentally overlooked; web accessibility. If you're a small business owner and you don't even know what web accessibility actually means, well, sadly you are not alone. You might've heard the term accessibility and given some consideration to your physical spaces, but have you considered ensuring that your web content can be consumed by all people? Web accessibility is one of the most important issues facing online businesses today but somehow it remains surprisingly unnoticed for many businesses, particularly small to medium sized businesses. Because of this, many business owners don't fully understand what the term actually means. Web accessibility doesn't mean ensuring that everyone has access to the Internet (though that's an important issue, too). Web accessibility refers to ensuring that all online content can be readily consumed by all people, including people with disabilities. Physically or brick and mortar businesses generally command a decent understanding of how their particular Disabilities Act affects their day to day business operations but online companies have some catching up to do because the needs of those with disabilities are often neglected. However, times are changing and online businesses have a greater responsibility than ever to prioritize their website accessibility and that's why today's guest Erin Perkins is here to help you discover if your business is accessible, and to get you started with what you need to be doing if this is something that you haven't given much thought to yet in your business. I am particularly excited about today's episode because it is where my two worlds finally converge – my background as an occupational therapist and my current online business educator status. Today's goal is to ensure that your business is set up to be accessible to all walks of life so that everyone can enjoy becoming your customer. Are you ready? Let's dive in. In this episode, Erin talks about: Erin’s journey to becoming a passionate educator on accessibility. 4:03Tips to getting started with making your online business more accessible TODAY. 6:49What transcription resources are available to help you transcribe audio or visual media. 9:03Common mistakes and barriers that people run into when trying to make their online business more accessible. 13:49The resources that she offers to her clients to help them along their accessibility journey. 18:02The time and resourced needed to ensure your business is up to date on the latest practices (it is less than you think!). 20:05What it looks like to ensure your podcast is accessible. 22:18Making your website accessible (pay attention to alt images!). 24:52How to let your audience know that you are committed to doing the best you can with the resources you have to ensure your materials are accessible online. 29:07More tips to make sure your website is accessible! 31:05Who is already doing this well and what can be learned from them. 32:17 Pay attention to your social media because, more than likely, people find you through social media first more than your website. If you’re doing regular videos, make sure your video are captioned. Camel cap your hashtags (use a capital letter for each word).Erin Perkins I loved chatting with Erin. She is a wealth of knowledge and provides so much insight into how far behind the online world is with being accessible to all. We all need to do our part because, much like the physical world, the Internet is an essential part of our day to day function. As such, businesses have a responsibility to ensure that all potential consumers can access their content. And by the way, making sure that you comply with web accessibility standards won't just help you avoid lawsuits, it'll leave you much better equipped for long-term success in the growing digital world. So please don’t walk away from this episode and ignore it.
