Agora, eles voltam a conversar no Trip FM. Assim é a vida: fracassar, aprender e evoluir”.

A maturidade me dá essa permissão. Alt-Text is an image description for those who use screen readers. It is an important accessibility tool that is often misused or is missing entirely, impacting on visually impaired people's experiences when consuming online content. The BBC's Johny Cassidy was instrumental in creating new mandatory training and guidance for journalists so that they can consider and begin to implement meaningful descriptions of images, graphs, maps and graphics etc in the content that they create. The guidance is also available for journalists and content creators outside of the BBC. Johny describes why and how this all came about and Holly Tuke, a visually impaired blogger and content creator, describes how important Alt-Text is to her online experience.Gareth Mainwaring is from West Wales and has recently discovered goalball. It is a sport designed specifically for people with visual impairments and it has had a profound impact on Gareth's life.

Importance of Adding Alt Text to Your Amazon Product Image Listing

My Amazon Guy

As an Amazon seller, you know how important it is to optimize your product listings for search. From writing compelling titles to optimizing your keywords, there are many strategies you can use to get your products seen by potential customers. But have you considered the impact of alt text on your Amazon product listings?Alt text is a short, descriptive text that appears when an image cannot be displayed. This text is read by search engines and can help them understand the content of your images. By adding alt text to your Amazon product images, you can improve your listings' visibility and increase your chances of being found by shoppers searching for products like yours. One of the main benefits of adding alt text to your Amazon product images is improved search engine optimization (SEO). When you include descriptive alt text that accurately describes the content of your images, search engines are more likely to show your products in relevant search results. This can help you reach a wider audience and drive more traffic to your listings. In addition to improving your SEO, alt text can also improve the user experience for shoppers browsing your products. When a shopper is unable to view an image, alt text provides them with a brief description of what the image shows. This can be especially helpful for shoppers with visual impairments, as it allows them to understand the content of your images even if they cannot see them. When it comes to writing alt text for your Amazon product images, there are a few best practices to keep in mind. First and foremost, make sure your alt text accurately describes the content of the image. Use descriptive language and be specific – for example, instead of simply saying "product image," describe what the product is and what it looks like. It's also important to use alt text that is both concise and compelling. Keep your alt text short and to the point, but make sure it captures the attention of shoppers and entices them to learn more about your product. You might consider highlighting key features or benefits in your alt text to make it more compelling.Adding alt text to your Amazon product images is a simple but effective way to improve your listings' visibility and drive more traffic to your products. Whether you're a new seller looking to optimize your listings or an experienced seller seeking new ways to boost your sales, adding alt text to your product images is a strategy that shouldn't be overlooked. In this video, we'll show you step-by-step how to add alt text to your Amazon product images, and share best practices for optimizing your listings with descriptive and compelling alt text.00:00 Importance of Adding Alt Text to Your Amazon Product Image Listing00:32 GS1 process04:09 Appropriate keywords to use for alt text07:06 Win the Buy boxGet your Amazon questions answered live! The guest on today's episode is Faith Denniston. She is an Amazon expert with over 7 years of experience, an unrelenting thirst for knowledge, and an undeniable love of all things SEO and PPC! A Senior Brand Manager at My Amazon Guy, she helps sellers succeed and grow on Amazon's platform and navigate all of its many challenges. When she's not busy dominating Amazon's ever-changing landscape, you can find her curled up with a good fiction book or hanging out with her trusty sidekick and feline familiar, Annabelle. In today's episode, she discusses mastering SEO on your Amazon listings.Takeaways:SEO is the foundation for your listing; you can't index and drive traffic to your listing with PPC unless you have exact search terms in your listing.Using the exact search term will impact your indexing, which impacts your searchability. In order to perform effective keyword research, you should target keywords that receive at least 100 organic searches per month. You should not put your competitor's brand name on your content to get indexed for that search term, but if your listing sells well, Amazon will show your listing when someone searches for your competitor's brand. You can use the Alt Text section to add misspellings and Spanish keywords to your listing to get indexed. When analyzing the search query performance report, if you find keywords with fewer impressions but more clicks and many "add to cart", you can use those keywords to drive sales by increasing your Ad spend.Quote of the Show:SEO Phase 1 is looking at competitor listings, checking out keywords with minimum search volume, and going from there. Phase 2 is removing duplicates from the title, and bullet points and working on the backend terms, where we will be placing Spanish terms, misspellings, or something we would not necessarily want in the front end. Links:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/faithdenniston/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@MyAmazonGuyWays to tune in:Apple PodcastiHeart RadioSpotifyGoogle PodcastStitcherYouTubeAmazon Legends is sponsored by Argometrix, the authority on, and a leading supplier of, competitive intelligence for online retail.
