At four years old, Andrew Meari stood at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery and quietly told his mother: “Mommy, I'm going to be a soldier.” He never changed his mind. Years later, PFC Andrew Meari deployed to Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne Division, 1-502nd Infantry. On November 1, 2010, during combat operations in Kandahar, Andrew was killed in action while protecting his brothers during a motorcycle VBIED attack. He was 21 years old. In this powerful Memorial Week conversation, Gold Star Mother Denise Williams joins The MisFitNation to share the story behind the uniform… the little boy who loved history, the young man who dreamed of service, the soldier who stood forward, and the legacy that continues long after his final mission. But this episode goes deeper. It explores the reality of military sacrifice. The unimaginable moment a parent receives the call. The bond between soldiers. The strength of Gold Star families. And how purpose can still exist after devastating loss. Denise also shares:
Project Out Loud – Science wins when claims meet rigorous tests. The last decade taught us to be careful about simple fixes wrapped in big promises. Still, the history of medicine has room for the unexpected. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy was once dismissed by many. Today, it helps veterans and people recovering from strokes. New therapies often arrive at the intersection of technology and human need...

Buckle up for Joe Oltmann Untamed, where the gloves are off and the fight for freedom rages on. President Trump just dropped a thunderbolt: a full pardon for Tina Peters, the 70-year-old Gold Star Mother and election warrior rotting in Colorado prison for exposing fraud. "Democrats have been relentless in targeting TINA PETERS, a Patriot who simply wanted to make sure our elections were fair," Trump roared on Truth Social. But Colorado's tyrants are digging in—Secretary of State Jena Griswold blasts it as an assault on "states' rights," AG Phil Weiser vows "We're not going to give in," and Gov. Jared Polis defends her conviction like a loyal foot soldier. Joe unleashes the fury: this isn't law; it's a defiant middle finger to the people's will, a standoff that could shatter the regime's grip on rigged elections.Election forensics powerhouse Mark Cook joins the fray—a coding prodigy who built search engines at 13, now leading the Hand Count Road Show to expose fraud nationwide. From Arizona to South Carolina, Mark dug into the dirt, uncovering the same shadows Tina risked everything to illuminate. He'll break down her forensic images (deleted logs, unauthorized access) and why Colorado prosecuted a hero while suppressing truth. As a fierce Peters supporter, Mark demands: Why jail whistleblowers when hand-counted ballots with video verification could end the machine madness forever? From Dominion's hackable horrors to precinct-level transparency, Mark arms us with the blueprint to reclaim our votes—no more half-measures, no more stolen Republics. The dam is cracking in Colorado, and a music video tribute to Tina's unbreakable spirit sets the stage for war. With attorney Peter Ticktin's full statement hailing the pardon as justice long overdue, Untamed demands accountability: Will Colorado fold, or force Trump's hand? This is spiritual warfare against a system that buries patriots alive. No hopium, just raw outrage and a battle plan to free Tina and torch the fraud machine.
Ready for an explosive episode of Joe Oltmann Untamed, as we dive into the heart of America's battle for freedom. First, we tackle the shocking persecution of Tina Peters, the 70-year-old Gold Star Mother and election integrity hero thrown into solitary confinement at La Vista State Prison after exposing 2020 election irregularities. With updates from her own X post, Joe Oltmann's war cry, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's outrage, we'll expose the Colorado government's brutal retaliation—strip searches, windowless cells, and a 17-day lockup—while rallying you to join the #FreeTinaPeters movement. Don't miss our urgent call to action to save this patriot from the Deep State's clutches.Next, we unleash intelligence titan Michael Waller, Senior Analyst at the Center for Security Policy and author of Big Intel, to dissect the Marxist infiltration turning our CIA and FBI from Cold War victors to woke warriors. From the “long march through the institutions” to chilling reversals of counterintelligence against American citizens, Waller will name names and reveal how the Left hijacked our spy agencies. With his firsthand experience under CIA Director Bill Casey, this is a masterclass in fighting the ideological subversion threatening our Republic—tune in and arm yourself with truth. We tackle today's breaking news: Democrats' call for the military to defy Trump sparks a fiery exchange with President Trump and Michigan Senator Slotkin, dissected with Joe Oltmann's X take. Then, we expose Minnesota's $1B welfare fraud scandal, where Somali communities funnel taxpayer cash to Al-Shabaab, complete with a shocking “Jihad now!” clip from a community leader. We'll demand action to clean house, overstay visas be damned, before ending with a laugh courtesy of Kyle Seraphin's roast of Julie Kelly's X hiatus. This is raw, unfiltered patriotism—lock in now!

Patti Elliott knew from an early age her son was a “kind of adrenaline junky,” but she didn't know the heartache that would leave her with. At the age of 21 her son, Army Specialist Daniel Lucas Elliott passed away on his second deployment due to a roadside bomb in July 2011. Taking her from a Blue Star to a Gold Star mother. Now, years later, Patti shows resiliency by sharing his story with others and continuing to volunteer and serve in the military community. Even though we live in challenging times, we can become Relentlessly Resilient as we lean on and learn from one another's experiences. Hosts Jennie Taylor and Michelle Scharf are no strangers to overcoming adversity; Michelle lost her husband to cancer, while Jennie's husband Major Brent Taylor was killed in the service of our country. Their stories bond them together and now listeners can join them weekly as they visit with others enduring challenges and who teach us how they are exercising resiliency, finding value in their grief, and purpose in moving forward. This Memorial Day, we celebrate the life and legacy of Major Shawn Campbell, a Marine who was killed in a training accident in Hawaii, in 2016. His mother, Donna McGrew, tells his story. ————————————————————————————————————————Gold Star Mother, Donna McGrew, lost her son, Major Shawn Campbell, in a helicopter training exercise in Hawaii in 2016. Abandoned by her father before she was born, by her husband shortly after Shawn's birth, and by her government in the shadowy details surrounding her son's untimely death, Donna never felt abandoned by God. She felt God's provision and protection though her difficult childhood and parenting years, her corporate and private careers, multiple health challenges, and the tragedy that changed her forever. Now remarried and retired, Donna recalls the life that shaped her son into the husband, father, military leader and hero he became. On this Memorial Day, we wish to honor the life and legacy of Major Shawn M. Campbell, and the eleven other Marines who perished with him on that fateful day in Hawaii six years ago. ———————————————————————————————————————— Support our pervious guest Quilts of Valor https://www.qovf.org/ Crisis Response Ministry https://crisisresponseministry.org/ GriefShare https://greifshare.org Project Linus https://www.projectlinus.org/ Blue Star Mothers https://www.bluestarmothers.org/ Texas Baptist Home for Children https://tbhc.org/ LifeLine for Families, Inc. https://lifelineforfamilies.org/ UMW of Texas (Woman Build) https://wmutx.org/ —---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the New Monthly “Now I See Bible Study” https://nis.media/now-i-see-bible-study/ We will be discussing this in our Private Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/nowisee Also make sure to leave us a review at Apple Podcast https://apple.co/39wvoDJ —---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Production and audio editing is handled by Headset Radio https://headsetradio.com/

In this special Veteran's Day episode, Susan Payne, a Blue Star Mother, talks about the joys and sorrows unique to military families. SHOW HIGHLIGHTS All of us are called to service; some serve in uniform, the rest of us should be serving here supporting them. We have a saying: My son has many brothers, so I have many sons. That is true. You become a big family. Once you are a Blue Star Mother, you are always a Blue Star Mother. Unless you become a Gold Star Mother. Either you're going through something right now, or are about to go through it. Just having somebody to encourage you goes a long way. I teach my kids if they see somebody in uniform to say ‘thank you', because freedom is never free. I want them to be appreciative of the sacrifices that have been made for them and for me. I talked to him for a few minutes, and then I hung up and I sobbed because he was ok; but there was another mother, and her son was not ok. You hear of casualties, of wounded, of accidents. Most people are oblivious to it; it's just another bit of news. But to a military family, we stop, we listen, we grieve, because we all know if it's not ours, it could be, and it is somebody else's. It's not just a news story, it's a person. People say, “I don't know how to help.” Everybody can help. Everybody can pray. Anyone can send a care package. Everyone can thank them. We owe them all. They are serving for YOU. They are sacrificing for YOU. When somebody comes back, whether they look like they've been wounded--they're all wounded. All their scars aren't visible. They see and have to do things and have been places that we couldn't even dream of.
