Earlier this year Ka Pā o Lonopūhā hosted a huaka’i to retrace the path of Lonopūhā and what many consider the origins of healing in Hawai’i. Around the path of the volcano and through her merciless afterbirth were formed and foundationalized relationships in healing. Workshops, meals and stories were exchanged between multiple generations of practitioners. And to date this last-minute airport run from Waimea to Keahole is the only know podcast to come of it: Nathan Nakasone is fortunate to have acquired his healing skills and wisdom from his Kumu. Kumu La’au Lapa’au, Aunty Alapa’i Kahuena. Kumu Lomilomi, Alva Andrews. Keola Chan and Sheila O’Malley. And through their guidance, he nurtures and respects his gifts of healing. As a result he honors their teachings in his daily life and work. Nate Nakasone has a true gift in the way he provides spiritual, physical, mental and emotional healing to all people with his gentle voice and talk story style. made it two thirds of the way though :) in this episode I talk about an ancient Hawaiian healing art
James helps provide solutions for people with Chronic Pain without Pharmaceuticals but through Ancient Hawaiian Healing of Lomolomi and the art of Romiromi. James comes from a healing tradition that goes back over 20 generations in Hawaii. He practice an older form of Lomilomi and is not the “massage” technique that most people associate with Lomilomi now a days. I also spent a few years in New Zealand and learned the art of Romiromi from my teacher who is Maori. Poor diet, posture, lack of sleep and listening to our bodies internal notification system causing Chronic Pain driving us to the doctors office for drugs instead of inside ourselves to solve the issue. James can show you how to reach inside of yourself for answers to questions you may not be able to find at traditional doctors offices. He is part of a Healthcare Networking Group of non-traditional medical practioners where if he direct you to should you need non-traditional medicine support as well. Listen and enjoy - get a sample of his style for a 3 minute medication at the end of the podcast Enjoy!

Most people know what they should do to get healthy, but why aren’t they doing it? We propose three theories: ---The resistance to change is underestimated (change is easier said than done) ---The foundation for change is missing (self-hatred, past trauma, psychological issues are impairing change) --the method is missing (change requires cannot be achieved without intensive planning and strategy) To address this we provide: --interventions for the mastery of lifestyle changed (nutrition counseling, stress management, meditation, mindfulness techniques, exercise classes, cooking classes, etc) --Building motivation and awareness --PRACTICING new skills --strengthening the foundation through trauma resolution, positive psychology, and mindfulness) https://www.hawaiinaturopathicretreat.com/ Recommended Reading: The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle http://amzn.to/2iYBHEf ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If this episode made a difference in your life please leave me a tip in the virtual tip jar by giving my podcast a great rating and review in iTunes! http://bit.ly/learntruehealth-itunes Thank you! As a Certified Master Hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner, Huna Practitioner, and Reconnective Healing Practitioner, Belinda is effective at getting results and enhancing performance in people’s lives. She graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in English and Spanish. After obtaining a Lifetime Elementary Teaching Credential at Cal State at LA, she taught third grade for five years in Puerto Rico and Los Angeles. She played the character Snow White at Disneyland, was a TV News Reporter for KABC Channel 7 in Hollywood and worked on the staff of Senator Charles H. Percy (Illinois) in Washington, D.C. Belinda received her training in HUNA on the Big Island of Hawaii. Huna means “secret” and the secrets were hidden in the chants. The ancient Hawaiian chants became part of her life. They bring down the Higher Self (Aumakua/5th Dimension) that is in all of us. These ancient healing techniques flourished at a time when there was no mental illness on the islands, before the missionaries arrived. “As a Huna Practitioner, I’ve been ordained to bring back these ancient healing secrets. Inner empowerment is our birthright. We are all powerful spiritual beings, connected as one.” Click here to visit the show notes page! Like this episode? Please leave an honest rating on iTunes.
