If you've ever wondered how the heck to find a legit golf instructor (and not just some YouTube-taught swing whisperer on the driving range), this is the episode for you.Too many golfers waste years (and thousands of dollars) working with instructors who don't actually change their swing — they just slap a Band-Aid on the shanks and hope for the best. In this episode, Mike Granato & Shaun Webb break down how to find a real swing coach who understands both the art and the science of instruction — including what to look for, what to avoid, and the types of “teachers” that do more harm than good.We unpack the difference between resort triage lessons and true swing transformation, the value of coaches who adapt with tech and data (3D motion, force plates, etc.), and how to spot the red flags — like "method teachers" who teach everyone the same cookie-cutter swing, or social media coaches who have never taught in the real world. You'll walk away with a filter system that makes your search way easier — and ensures you're not jumping teacher to teacher, wasting time and regressing. Because once you find your coach, you commit.✅ Learn what separates top-tier instructors from the fakes ✅ Why 3D motion, force plates, and experience matter ✅ How swing patterns, mobility, and individuality affect coaching ✅ When to commit and stop jumping from teacher to teacher ✅ How to use YouTube strategically to vet coaches in advanceWant to take your swing to the next level? It starts with finding the right guide.
The Wagyu Filet Show boys, Johnson Wagner and Brendon de Jonge, joined Gary Williams in studio for a show devoted to the upcoming Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. From the teams, the captains, the captains picks, player pairings, etc. they dive into it all. They also spent time talking about the future direction of the PGA TOUR given some of the recent news and statements from the new man in charge, Brian Rolapp.
Start your morning with Buzzcast with Austin Karp: ESPN sends off Lee Corso with class (and a huge TV audience); PGA Tour viewership rebounds in a big way; and John Malone may be angling to put F1 on the block.
Alex and CP continue the Keegan Bradley debate as we get another week closer to the Ryder Cup. Plus, we discuss the biggest surprises and snubs for both teams, including Matt Wallace, who was moved to tears after realizing he'd likely be left at home.
With European captain Luke Donald making his 6 captain's picks today, the teams are set for the Ryder Cup later this month in New York at Bethpage Black. The European team is essentially the same as the last Ryder Cup in Italy, with the only exception being that Rasmus Hojgaard is on this years team instead of his twin brother Nicolai. The United States team has been set for about a week now, with the big talker being captain Keegan Bradley opting to not pick himself to play. The United States team will look to keep the run of home teams winning the Ryder Cup. The podcast guys played a round at the historic Keller Golf Course in the Twin Cities and had a round for the ages. Keller Golf Course has hosted two PGA Championships and also was the host venue for the St. Paul Open, which was played for many decades on the PGA Tour. The group had 20 birdies, including a couple improbable ones from Timothy after hitting into a nature area, Jeff making 8 birdies and still shooting even par and Mike with a bogey-free 65. We will talk all about it and discuss where our games are at as summer winds to a close. Subscribe to the Break80 Podcast on Apple, Spotify and YouTube for weekly golf content. This week Eddie has returned from the mountains, where he produced a performance that has inspired him to consider a major equipment change. There is also mulling over the Atlantic imbalance, whereby those who lose their cards on the PGA Tour have the opportunities to play some often terrible golf on the DP World Tour.Of course the European Ryder Cup team gets a mention and we hear from captain Luke Donald about his selection, where he has done little more than swapping Danish twins. All three decide it's probably best that Luke didn't go rogue and pick Peter Odemwingie.Be like Thriston...Visit: www.petermillar.co.uk Check out:www.ping.comSee Eddie in the clouds: @chippingforecast (Instagram)Email:tcf@thechippingforecast.co.uk Hosted on Acast. With minimal golf news to chat about, this Friday episode covers a myriad of topics including geography, plane flight paths, and the Green Bay Packers. Andy is still recovering the Micah Parsons news and Brendan prompts PJ to explain his love for the Packers in 2025 just to make things worse. After an abridged Football Corner before college football kicks off this weekend, Andy and Brendan move on to golf and discuss Sunny Kim's latest win on the Minor League Golf Tour. Brendan is especially impressed by the record books on the Minor League Tour and suggests the PGA Tour take some notes. They also run through the field at next week's BMW PGA, where most of the potential European Ryder Cup team will tee it up alongside some LIV boys and... Corey Conners? Brian Rolapp is reportedly wondering how the PGA Tour can better market the mules, so Brendan and Andy come up with some ideas and players they'd like featured. Andy then audits the PGA Tour socials to figure out where some mule content could fit in. In other news, Kapalua is now shutting down in order to preserve the course due to a water shortage and The Sentry is officially in danger. There's plenty of Golf Advice to send you off to a holiday weekend, with listeners wondering when they can drink non-alcoholic beer and an Andy takedown of the handicap system in America. To wrap things up, Brendan, Andy, and PJ look ahead to Week 1 of college football and highlight some games to watch, with Andy making a shocking revelation.
Join Bryan Hayes and Dave Feschuk for hour three of OverDrive! The guys discuss whether Tiger Woods would play on PGA Tour of Champions. They are then joined by Toronto FC defender Richie Laryea ahead of the 401 Derby this weekend. They wrap the week up by chatting with TSN Football Insider Dave Naylor to tee up Labour Day Weekend in the CFL.
Jerry Jones and the Cowboys make another splash; Brian Rolapp's first month at the PGA Tour; and saluting the legend Lee Corso.
RBC Heritage Tournament Director Steve Wilmot joins to discuss the ins and outs of his job, the state of the PGA Tour, the history of one of the most iconic events on the PGA Tour, his connection and love for Ole Miss and more.
The fireworks aren't just on the course this season — they're in the conversation.Coming off a sensational Tour Championship victory and first PGA Tour win at his 164th start, Tommy Fleetwood finally claimed the FedEx Cup and a massive $10 million payday, all under a bold new “even start” format. His emotional triumph captivated 4.49 million viewers — the most-watched non-major final round of the year. Now, the buzz only grows with Ryder Cup 2025 set for Bethpage Black. In a bold move, Captain Keegan Bradley passed on playing himself, choosing instead six exceptional picks — including Sam Burns, Justin Thomas, Ben Griffin, Collin Morikawa, Cameron Young, and Patrick Cantlay — to face off against Europe's roster led by Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, and others. So when we talk about identity beyond the scorecard, there's no better moment to dive in. This episode explores:How a long-overdue breakthrough like Fleetwood's changes everythingWhat Ryder Cup selection really says about value, worth, and legacyWhy the pressure of performance can sometimes hide deeper truths we all needWhether you're rooting for Tour success, Ryder Cup glory, or simply searching for something more meaningful — this episode meets you at the intersection.
Hour 1 Jerry and Willie Colon fill in for Boomer and Gio. Jerry praises Nolan McLean's impressive 8-inning shutout against the Phillies, leading to a Mets sweep. The Mets are clicking, and Jerry believes they can go on a run. Juan Soto is hitting with runners in scoring position. C-Lo's update highlights McLean's "shoved" performance and the Mets' success with RISP. Francisco Alvarez was hit by a pitch again. The Yankees hit six homers in their 11-2 win over the Nationals; Anthony Volpe was hitless. The Patriots claimed Tommy DeVito. Jerry and Sal's event clips are discussed. The hour ends with talk of a heated US Open match and the hosts' athletic endeavors. Hour 2 The hour begins with a discussion about the Yankees' blowout win, specifically Anthony Volpe being booed despite the team scoring nine runs. Jerry believes fans went too far, while Willie disagrees. They also disliked Giancarlo Stanton not being in the lineup. C-Lo provides an update, mentioning Evan Roberts' admiration for Nolan McLean and playing a Philadelphia radio host's rant resembling Jerry's classic rants. Cody Bellinger hit one of the Yankees' 6 home runs in their 11-2 thrashing of the Nationals. C-Lo shares clips of Taylor Townsend clarifying her showdown with Jelena Ostapenko. Tom Brady can attend production meetings but not practices, which Jerry thinks won't affect his job, though Willie understands why some broadcasters like watching practice. Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick want to trademark "gold digger." The hour concludes with Jerry recounting his night at a Lady Gaga concert, noting the presence of many gay men, and Willie's past experience in an unwelcome establishment. Jerry then asks Brian Rascona about his Ryder Cup volunteer assignment. Hour 3 The hour began with a Yankees discussion, noting only five MLB hitters bat over .300, leading to a debate on modern hitting approaches. C-Lo's update highlighted Boomer's X activity, the Mets' strong performance (especially Mark Vientos), and the Phillies' TV postgame show's praise for Nolan McLean. Howie Rose's issue at a Mets game reminded C-Lo of a Mad Dog rant. The Yankees crushed the Nationals 11-2. Dawn Staley discussed her Knicks HC interview. The final segment covered Andrew Thomas's return to Giants practice (key to their season) and Micah Parsons, with Willie expecting him to stay a Cowboy, prompting Jerry to ponder the perception of edge rushers' success against offensive linemen. Hour 4 The final hour discusses the Mets' sweep of the Phillies, highlighting their 38 hits and Nolan McLean's dominance, and the team's changed dynamic. Jerry notes the 2025 Mets' inconsistency. The Yankees scored 11 runs despite Giancarlo Stanton's absence. Compass Media Networks' Chad Brown previews the college football and NFL seasons, discussing Bill Belichick at UNC and Aaron Rodgers in Pittsburgh. Brown doubts Russell Wilson's future as an NFL QB for the Giants. C-Lo provides his final update, covering McLean's night and new clips from Hunter Brody. The Yankees swept the Nationals. The Moment of The Day features Jerry and Willie's unexpected nights at gay bars.
My guest on this episode needs no introduction as he is a legend in the game and one of my childhood heroes. He is 14 time PGA Tour winner, including the 1983 PGA Champion where he beat Jack Nicklaus buy 1 and the 1983 and 2000 Players champion where he held off Tiger Woods and you guessed it, the owner of one of the most famous golf lines after hitting his second shot into the 18th green....."Be the right club. Be the right club today" He was the 1983 leading money winner and player of the year and also the comback player of the year in 1994. He played on 4 Ryder Cups and was the captain of the 2004 American squad.... You guessed it I am talking about Mr. Hal Sutton. Its also worth mentioning that he was the recipient of the 2007 Payne Stewart award. So I thought as the Ryder cup approaches, who better to talk to than someone who lived it. We had an amazing discussion that included his father's influence on his life and some of the decisions that he made to how he dealt with the low points and adversity in his career to much more. This is one of the few times that I have been nervous before going into an interview because I have so much respect for Hal, his career and how lives his life and his contributions to the game so give me some grace on this one. We didn't get to half of the topics and questions that I had prepared so hopefully there will be a part 2 but It was an honor to sit down with the legend. This conversation is filled with so many great stories and life lessons that you can apply to your life and golf. So without further delay, here is Hal Sutton...enjoy! Will Doctor gives you the sharpest card for the Omega European Masters -Discussing top 9 on odds board -1 matchup -2 t10's -2 outrights (16/1 & 18/1) -Sleeper, Best Bet The Golf Preview Podcast on Pregame's Network (0:12 – 0:29) set the stage for this week's deep dive into PGA Tour and DP World Tour betting picks. Host Will Doctor brought sharp insights, beginning with the headline story of Tommy Fleetwood's first PGA Tour win at Eastlake, a monumental 2025 moment for golf betting fans. From Memphis to the BMW, Fleetwood's heartbreaks turned into motivation, showing resilience and class (0:39 – 9:23). Doctor highlighted upcoming DP World Tour action, including the Omega European Masters at Crans-sur-Sierre, where Matt Wallace defends in the Swiss Alps. With Matthew Fitzpatrick at 9-1, Alex Noren at 14-1, and Aaron Rai at 16-1, the field is stacked. He also previewed the Irish Open, the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, and the high-stakes Korn Ferry Tour Finals with thirty PGA Tour cards on the line, key storylines shaping fall golf betting. Alex Noren (9:23 – 9:49) celebrated his first victory in seven years, returning from injury with elite iron play and renewed confidence. Will Doctor noted profitable tickets cashed on Fitzpatrick and Smylie, while Rasmus Højgaard locked in his Ryder Cup spot despite missed chances (9:49 – 11:04). Fleetwood's breakthrough was the season's most-watched non-major, with over 4.4 million viewers, a massive data point for PGA Tour betting relevance. Fleetwood's own reflection (11:05 – 11:30) captured the moment: one win as the foundation for many. Yet betting cards saw setbacks with Scottie Scheffler, Viktor Hovland, and Ludvig Åberg falling short (11:31 – 39:00). Only Sam Burns delivered, finishing top ten and strengthening his Ryder Cup candidacy. Doctor analyzed Ryder Cup projections, calling for Scheffler, Schauffele, Henley, English, DeChambeau, Justin Thomas, Cameron Young, Ben Griffin, and Sam Burns to form Team USA, while Cantlay's runner-up finish secured his place. Team Europe, led by Luke Donald, is anchored by Rory McIlroy, Fleetwood, Rose, Hatton, and Højgaard, with Lowry, Straka, Åberg, Hovland, Fitzpatrick, and Rahm likely filling out the roster. The Omega European Masters odds board was then dissected in detail. Fitzpatrick's strong form made him one to watch but not a pre-tournament bet at 9-1. Noren at 14-1 presented elite value, while Aaron Rai's struggles with the putter kept him off Doctor's card. The spotlight shifted to the Højgaard twins, with Nicolai at 16-1 and Rasmus at 18-1, both primed to contend at altitude. Marco Penge's explosive driving but inconsistent putting made him a risky choice. Wyndham Clark at 25-1 drew intrigue, though erratic driving raised concerns. In betting matchups, Oliver Lindell over Yuki Ichikawa emerged as a sharp play. Doctor's official card closed with Noren to top ten at +125, Rasmus Højgaard to top ten at +187, Nicolai Højgaard outright at 16-1, Rasmus outright at 18-1, Sami Välimäki as a sleeper to top ten at +350, and Nicolai Højgaard to top ten as the best bet at +162. These Omega European Masters picks provide actionable golf betting insights backed by recent form, strokes gained data, and Ryder Cup momentum. The Golf Preview Podcast (ending timestamp) delivered a comprehensive breakdown of PGA Tour betting, DP World Tour odds, Ryder Cup team construction, and European Masters predictions. For golf fans and bettors alike, the combination of statistical insight, player performance analysis, and betting recommendations made this preview essential. Pregame's coverage positioned the Omega European Masters as a premier betting opportunity in late summer golf, where smart wagering strategies could turn form analysis into profitable outcomes. Send us a textThe battle between season-long excellence and single-tournament dominance takes center stage as we dissect Tommy Fleetwood's Tour Championship victory and what it means for the FedEx Cup format. Should the player who excels all season (like Scottie Scheffler with five wins, including two majors) be properly recognized alongside the tournament champion? The current system, which essentially resets everything for one final event, continues to draw criticism from players and fans alike. The Ryder Cup team selections loom large with captain Keegan Bradley set to announce his picks tomorrow. We analyze the automatic qualifiers and potential captain's selections, making the case for who should represent Team USA against what appears to be a formidable European lineup. Some surprising names, like Colin Morikawa, might not deserve spots based on recent form, while others, like Sam Burns and Patrick Cantlay, could strengthen the American side despite some reservations.Meanwhile, LIV Golf continues to struggle with its television product and format. Despite drawing crowds in person, the confusing presentation with shotgun starts, unclear team elements, and disjointed coverage makes following the action difficult for viewers. As professional golf remains divided, we question whether the proposed merger will ever materialize, especially as the product quality gap between tours remains significant. On a more adventurous note, we preview our upcoming golf journey through Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa – highlighting how golf creates opportunities to explore parts of America you'd otherwise never visit. Courses like Landmannd, Tatanka, and Prairie Club represent hidden gems that transform ordinary locations into extraordinary experiences, showcasing the true spirit of golf discovery beyond the professional tours.Join us for this wide-ranging conversation about golf's present challenges and future possibilities, both on tour and in the heartland of America. After multiple heartbreaks, Tommy Fleetwood finally finished off a tournament at East Lake and got his first victory on the PGA Tour at East Lake. Fleetwood remained steady as other players including Patrick Cantlay and Scottie Scheffler faded down the stretch. Fleetwood's victory gets the monkey off his back after years of near misses and collapses while leading PGA Tour tournaments. Now the attention of the golf world shifts to the Ryder Cup and American captain Keegan Bradley. Will he pick himself this week as a playing captain? Will Cameron Young, Ben Griffin and/or Chris Gotterup make their Ryder Cup debuts at Bethpage Black? We will know for certain in a few days, but we are here to speculate on who he may pick this week. The Vikings sign Carson Wentz to be the backup QB, With the regular season less than two weeks away, the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles have engaged in a late trade. The Vikings announced Sunday that they are sending quarterback Sam Howell to the Eagles in exchange for draft picks. In return, Minnesota receives a fifth-rounder in 2026 and a seventh-rounder in 2027. Philadelphia also received a sixth-round pick in 2026 as part of the trade.Twins lose 5 of 6Tommy Fleetwood wins the FedEx CupIt took 164 PGA Tour starts, 44 prior top 10 placements and six excruciating runner-up finishes, but Tommy Fleetwood on Sunday at the 2025 Tour Championship finally made his way into the winner's circle. The 34-year-old Englishman converted his third 54-hole lead of the season into his first career PGA Tour victory, claiming the season-long FedEx Cup crown and the massive $10 million payout that goes along with it.Fleetwood finished his tremendous week-long effort Sunday with a 68 to post a winning score of 262 (-18); in doing so, he handled the Sunday nerves at East Lake Golf Club better than anyone else in the field. Tommy Fleetwood has finally won a PGA Tour event. Naturally, this episode starts elsewhere, as Andy and Brendan immediately jump into some quotes from Robert Garrigus and James Hahn. As told to Adam Schupak, these men are very unhappy about the PGA Tour's continued shift toward Signature Events. Garrigus challenged Jordan Spieth to a match for his "five sponsor exemptions" into Signature Events next year and Hahn wants Brian Rolapp to get his phone number from Jay Monahan. This sets Andy off, wondering which players should feature in the "Mule Derby." Things eventually get back to the Super Bowl of Golf, won by Tommy Fleetwood after four rounds of preferred lies. Tommy held off "Playoff P," Keegan Bradley, Russell Henley, and a half-hearted charge from FedEx Cup fourth-place-finisher Scottie Scheffler on Sunday. PJ questions whether this Tour Championship should even count as Tommy's first win, but Fleetwood is now Mr. 1,001 regardless. Andy and Brendan discuss the week at East Lake and give Tommy his flowers for landing the plane on Sunday afternoon. With the U.S. Ryder Cup team set to be announced on Wednesday, it seems like Keegan Bradley will select himself, leaving one of Ben Griffin, Cameron Young, or Sam Burns at home. There's a lengthy discussion about what Keegan should do, but everyone agrees things are trending toward him being a playing captain. The European Ryder Cup team also got a boost on Sunday, with Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton teaming up to win the LIV Team Championship in a playoff. Elsewhere for Europe, Rasmus Hojgaard qualified on points, all but locking up their 12 players. Brendan is unsure of how Rasmus accumulated enough points to make the top six and questions whether all points lists should go away for the 2027 Ryder Cup. Stew Cink went back-to-back at the Ally Challenge, beating Ernie Els in a playoff in Michigan and Brooke Henderson won her national Open on the LPGA. Finally, President Trump declared that he's in favor of Keegan Bradley's playing captaincy and said he will be attending the Ryder Cup on Friday. Will he chop it up with Don Rea? That remains to be seen.
Hour 1 Jerry Recco and Willie Colon fill in for Boomer and Gio. The Yankees salvaged their Red Sox series finale but need more from Aaron Judge and better hitting against good pitchers, unlike the Red Sox who manufacture runs. Anthony Volpe is getting a deserved break. C-Lo discusses his football coaching debut. The Yankees rely on home runs, as seen in their recent win over the Red Sox. The Mets failed to sweep the Braves due to early missed opportunities. Cal Raleigh set a single-season HR record. Brian Schottenheimer plans to address Micah Parsons' behavior. Tommy Fleetwood won his first PGA Tour Championship, while Daniil Medvedev argued with an umpire after a photographer interrupted play, a reaction Willie understands. The hour concludes with Jerry reflecting on wild live sports moments, including the Malice at the Palace and the World Series earthquake. Hour 3 The hour began with calls about crazy live sports moments, a topic Jerry couldn't believe we missed. Willie recalled Antonio Brown quitting during a game. A squirrel disrupted the Yankees-Red Sox game, where the Yankees later won 7-2 with homers from Trent Grisham and Jazz Chisholm Jr. The Mets lost to the Braves, and Marlins reliever Tyler Phillips slaps himself before games. The final segment continued with calls about live crazy sports moments. Hour 4 The final hour includes more calls about crazy sports moments, with Jerry and Willie recalling some and learning others. C-Lo provides his last update after their boss shares a crazy sports moment and Jerry asks Willie about a cruise fight. C-Lo plays audio of a 2002 Royals coach attack, which Willie connects to learning caution. The Yankees won, but the Mets lost. The Moment of the Day: Jerry's bat problem, which Willie couldn't handle. The show ends with another crazy Jets/Shea Stadium moment. Jerry and Eddie both have Shea Stadium grass.
