'More Than Enough” is a deeply felt and honoured poem and has been read to many a woman more than can be counted. This poem is an embodiment of a healing sacred declaration, a soul cry wrapped in divine affirmation to her 'Beloved'. It carries the rhythmic essence of survival, the cadence of healing, and the voice of a woman who has walked through fire and emerged clothed in grace. It speaks to many a wounded woman who can stand up, take one day at a time and boldly put one foot in front of the other and pray themselves into a place of healing and restoration. I truly believe that no matter the whirlwinds of life, through soul poems and soul writings and soul whispers we as women can navigate well to come through stronger on the other side. Phenomenal Woman was written and published by Maya Angelou in 1978. A phenomenal woman herself who etched a pathway ahead of her time becoming world renowned leaving big shoes to fill. "Phenomenal Woman" is a powerful poem by Maya Angelou that celebrates self-confidence, inner beauty, and the strength of womanhood. As you tune in today, be courageous be bold - stand firm and believe that You too are - Phenomenally, A Phenomenal Woman out there and that You too are - More Than Enough.'More Than Enough” is a poem written by Self-publish Author/Co-author, Poet, Storyteller and Inspirational Speaker Salomé Jacobs in 2018. “How do I make a 120,000-person organization data-aware?” asks Amaresh Tripathy, my guest on this episode of the #HRTechChat video podcast. Amaresh is senior vice president and global business leader at Genpact. A General Electric spin-off, Genpact is several billion dollars in size. A publicly traded professional services firm, Genpact mainly focuses on two things. One is all about running various digital operations on behalf of Genpact's clients, which are Fortune 1000 companies around the globe. The other involves data, technology and artificial intelligence, wherein Genpact concerns itself with helping these clients transform some of these same digital operations for the better. Amaresh's role is with this second focus, working to make "our clients more data-intelligent and data-aware," he says. You probably already see the tie-in with Genpact's workforce. Amaresh believes that, at Genpact, he and his team have built the world's largest data awareness program. Solutions such as EdCast, found in the Cornerstone suite, factor largely into the effort. We discussed this. An illustrative example of organizational and digital transformation, the initiative relies, critically, on well-sorted learning technology and modern tools for curating and delivering content just right for the task at hand. Phenomenally, Amaresh is more than halfway to achieving an ambitious goal: so far, somewhere between 65,000 of and 70,000 of the company's own employees have completed the associated certification program, which leaves them highly versed in understanding the tools to extract and blend enterprise data. Graduates then go on to use their newfound knowledge and skills in order to help a client—in the process earning from Genpact what is akin to a black belt in data awareness. During our chat, Amaresh shared the philosophy behind his vision and delved into the thinking that has helped make it a reality at Genpact. This vision is empowering staff with the high-impact upskilling that is an essential ingredient not only for their success individually, but also for Genpact's overall. Indeed, like so many initiatives notable for their positive effects on business, Amaresh's is redolent of the idea that an organization's people are an asset to cultivate and engage. This is the model for success. All at once, Genpact's data awareness program is good for the company, its clients, and its people. If you're looking for an example of how the future of work is happening right now, look no further than this episode of the podcast. It was an absolute pleasure speaking with Amaresh.

It's #WorldAutismMonth and today we're digging into this fascinatingly complex neurological condition that one of our co-hosts was actually recently diagnosed with (listen to find out who!). Plenty of autistic folks manage to live fulfilling lives, but obviously we don't all enjoy the same privilege as Elon Musk or Greta Thunberg — and navigating a neurotypical world as a neurodivergent person can pose challenges. Viral sensation Ayanna Davis — aka. Phenomenally Autistic to her thousands of followers — joins us to speak to some of these challenges. We'll also learn about her work dispelling ableist myths, and building affirmative community care as a Black autistic artist, author, dance choreographer, and social media influencer from Westchester County, New York. Conservative Member of Parliament Mike Lake also joins us. Mike's autistic son Jaden inspired a powerful speech he recently delivered in Canada's House of Commons, as well as a bill he managed to fast-track in Parliament after gathering unanimous multi-partisan support. The bill — which was first introduced in the Senate, then sponsored by Lake in the lower chamber — requires Canada's health minister to table a national autism framework in the next two years. Hopefully in a couple years time, this framework will deliver results for the Canadian autistic community. ________ Are you autistic, raising an autistic child, or just hoping to learn more about autism and other forms of neurodiversity? For this episode I got brave and reached out to someone who had inspired me during lockdown. Tom's a poet, an author of two books and a filmmaker who has worked with Colin Farrell and Tim Roth. I'm so grateful he accepted my request to be interviewed. Lockdown provided him with an opportunity to make a name for himself but I have no doubt that he has all the hallmarks to be successful; positive attitude and determination and above all he's mastered the art of articulation. 2 decades ago Mark Kelly thought globally, but acted locally, creating then building up his Global Surf Industries by appealing to the mass market of beginner & intermediate surfers rather than world champs; and offering customers certainty of supply and consistently good quality brand surf and paddle boards. GSI flourished to become a major supplier of boards in some 74 countries around the world. Along the way, Mark Kelly became a political activist, without really meaning to, by thinking locally, and acting globally. In 2018 he began a small local grassroots campaign, on a closed Facebook group, with the catchy title “Vote Tony Out”. The “Tony” being former Prime Minister Tony Abbott, and the campaign's aim was to vote Tony Abbott out as the federal Member for the seat of Warringah. Gutsy? Yes. Provocative? Certainly. Successful? Yes. What Kelly ended up building was a community-based political campaign, via savvy use of social media and yes, old-fashioned t-shirt sales, that helped turf Tony Abbott out of the federal seat he'd held for a quarter of a century. Kelly's campaign also boosted the new Independent candidate, now sitting MP, Zali Steggall. In Part 2 of our chat this week, find out how exactly Mark built a successful political campaign, from scratch, and helped usher in the new wave of Independents! Ayanna Davis is a remarkable young woman who has lived the majority of her life not knowing that she lived on the Autism spectrum (ASD). Once diagnosed, she has devoted her efforts to understanding her condition and utilizing her natural creativity to demonstrate how phenomenal she can be. Her illustrations have been published 27 children's books, including "My Melanin" by Renita Pagan, which teaches young girls of color to "embrace their natural features" and develop a positive image of themselves. In addition to her illustrations, Ayanna has recently authored her own children's book, and works every day to be a positive influence on the lives of others. Ayanna Davies proudly proclaims herself as "Phenomenally Autistic" on her social media accounts. Ellevate Podcast: Conversations With Women Changing the Face of Business
On this week's episode, we sit down with Meena Harris, CEO and Founder of Phenomenal Women Action Campaign, to talk all things political advocacy, the Phenomenal brand, and her new children's book, Kamala and Maya's Big Idea, based on a true story of everyday childhood activism. Meena also talks about lack of diversity in children's books and raising children to be conscious and aware in a divided time. Meena's book inspiring children to take positive action within their own communities is available on phenomenalgirl.com
Meena Harris is a lawyer, activist, and the founder of the Phenomenal Woman Action Campaign, a female-powered organization that brings awareness to intersectional social causes. And now Meena is also an author, with her new children's book titled Kamala and Maya's Big Idea, set to debut on June 2nd. The book is based on a true story from the childhood of Meena's mom, Maya Harris, and aunt, Kamala Harris. In it, two sisters make a difference in their community by dreaming big, organizing across diverse groups, and fighting for what they believe in. Senator Elizabeth Warren calls it “A must read for little girls around the world.” And Stacy Abrams says the book is “An inspiring tale.” In this conversation, Meena and I talk about the creative process of writing her first children's book, the impact of diverse representation in children's books, and how stories shape our identities from a young age.
