Professor Doyle was the former Medical Director and Director of Health Protection for the now defunct Public Health England. She speaks to Emma about the role of PHE in the pandemic response, her experience as a senior woman in government at the time and lessons we can learn from the pandemic. Another Body is an award-winning documentary which follows US engineering student, Taylor, in her search for answers and justice after she discovers deepfake pornography of herself circulating online. Ahead of its release in the UK, one of the documentary's directors, Sophie Compton joins Emma to discuss why she decided to make this documentary, what she found and why she used deepfake technology herself to anonymise the identities of their protagonists. The pianist Chloe Flower came to the public's attention after a show-stopping performance with rap queen Cardi B at the 2019 Grammy Awards. She has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music from Celine Dion to American rappers such as: Meek Mill, Lil Baby, 2Chainz and Nas. In this episode, Brent and Lindsay discuss The Women's Health Protection Act—the most pro-abortion legislation—failing in the Senate, the Supreme Court gatherering again since the leak, and a giant black hole at the center of the Milky Way. They also talk about the sexual revolution and how to minister the truth of God's design in the midst of it. ERLC ContentJordan Wootten with Explainer: Religious liberty in Ukraine in the 20th and 21st centuriesCliff Lea with How do you watch what you watch? Jackson Women's Health Organization. The ERLC and other pro-life organizations filed an amicus brief in this case urging the Supreme Court to overturn the disatrous Roe v. Wade decision. Members of our team also joined pro-life advocates on the steps of the Supreme Court when oral arguments were heard last December. As we approach the Supreme Court's final decision in June of this year, it's important for Christians to pray for this landmark case and begin preparing our churches to serve vulnerable women and children in a potential post-Roe world. Defeat of Women's Health Protection Act shows Democrats playing politics with abortion rights

On May 11, the U.S. Senate voted down the Women's Health Protection Act, 49-51. The WHPA would have made abortion legal, eliminating the role of the Supreme Court on the issue of abortion and nullifying the pending Supreme Court decision, the draft copy of which has already been leaked to the media. The Democratic Party leadership is responsible for this catastrophe because they refused to forcefully defend abortion rights and women's rights over the past two decades. It was not a priority for them. They only gave lip service for abortion rights to get votes. Millions of women are now losing control over their own bodies. It's not just Joe Manchin to blame. The Democratic leadership has only seen abortion rights as a bargaining chip in bourgeois, capitalist politics. Nancy Pelosi, the leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives, has insisted that support for abortion rights should not be a “litmus test” for Democratic candidates. In recent days she even went to Texas to support the campaign of Henry Cuellar, who is opposed to abortion rights, against a more progressive challenger who supports abortion rights. This clearly indicates that the Democratic Party leadership doesn't give a damn about abortion rights. They are playing politics and using the issue of abortion to fundraise and mobilize voters for the midterm elections, while failing to preserve the fundamental right to abortion. This is not the first time this has happened. In 2009 and 2010, the Democrats did not have a razor thin majority in the Senate, but a huge majority. Fifty-nine Senators were Democrats, and one Independent voted with the Democratic caucus. In that same Congressional term, the Democrats had a vast majority in the House of Representatives, and they had just elected Barack Obama as president, who enjoyed immense popularity in his first two years. Then too, the Democrats could have adopted legislation like the Women's Health Protection Act that would have enshrined abortion rights forever. On May 14, there will be large-scale protests in support of abortion rights initiated by Planned Parenthood. In addition to supporting abortion rights in general, the message of the May 14 organizers will be focused on voting for the Democratic Party in the upcoming midterm elections. This is a smokescreen and shield for the Democratic Party's role in the destruction of abortion rights. While Planned Parenthood is running interference for the Democratic Party's insidious role in allowing abortions rights to be destroyed, there is no reason to focus a political attack on any other organization than the Democratic Party itself. Planned Parenthood provides many critically needed medical services, not only abortion and birth control but important preventative care as well as transition care for transgender people; the organization is under attack by right-wing anti-abortion forces around the country. Campaigning for the Democratic Party must be understood as a losing strategy. In fact it is a fraudulent exercise. Recent history clearly demonstrates that even when the Democratic Party controls all branches of government, they have not cared enough about abortion rights to ensure that abortion rights legislation becomes the law of the land. We have to make this clear in our conversations at the May 14 actions. A militant mass movement in defense of abortion rights will be launched. This movement needs to expose the failure of the Democratic Party to adequately mount a defense of abortion rights. In fact, the Democratic Party must be held responsible for the catastrophe that is being imposed on women, girls and every person who needs access to safe, legal abortion.

World Health Day this Thursday, 7 April will focus global attention on urgent actions needed to keep humans and the planet healthy and foster a movement to create societies focused on well-being. After two years of a global pandemic, it's a time to reflect on the fact that the health of our planet and the health of our people are inextricably connected. The WHO estimates that more than 13 million deaths around the world each year are due to avoidable environmental causes. Our region, the Indo-Pacific, is at the forefront of the climate and health crisis. On today's episode we are joined by two of Fiji's health leaders who have been at the forefront of its COVID response and our now at the forefront of the country – and region's – efforts to continue to strengthen health systems, for everyone. Dr James Fong is a Fijian obstetrician-gynaecologist who serves as the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Health and Medical Services. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Fong led the COVID-19 Incidental Management Team and was responsible for communicating with the public on the status of the pandemic.Dr Aalisha Sahukhan is the Head of Health Protection for the Fijian Ministry of Health and Medical Services. A trained infectious diseases epidemiologist, Dr Sahukhan was appointed acting national advisor on communicable diseases in 2017. In 2018 she became acting head of Health Protection before being appointed head in 2021. Health Protection is a newly formed national programme in Fiji bringing together the departments of environmental health, health emergencies and climate change, and communicable disease.Drs Fong and Sahukhan talk to Ambassador Williams about the importance of testing and quickly adapting to evolving needs and understanding all factors that influence the health of a society, including environmental factors. We ask, what is effective leadership when responding to a health emergency? And what role do health care workers play in broader social challenges? We hope you enjoy the conversation and learn more about World Health Day 2022. @WHO @CentreHealthSec @AusAmbRHS #WorldHealthCareWorkerWeek

Hank Hanegraaff, host of the Bible Answer Man broadcast and the Hank Unplugged podcast, decries the recent passing of the deceptively named Women's Health Protection Act (H. R. 3755) in the U. S. House of Representatives. This horrendous piece of legislation would mandate in federal law virtually unfettered access to abortion, including sex selection abortion and the abortion of pre-born children with proclivities to Down Syndrome, allowing for abortions up to the very moment of birth. H. R. 3755 is perhaps the most draconian, pro-death legislation in the history of humanity. And then there is the language crisis that threatens to undo Western civilization. The bill is not specifically a “Women's” Health Protection Act. Rather, it is “intended to protect all people with the capacity for pregnancy.” The language has shifted from women's health to the health of “birthing people” — “cis-gender women, transgender men, non-binary individuals, those who identify with a different gender, and others.” Pregnancy is no longer the province of biological women. And this is now the perspective of the Department of Justice, CDC, and the White House. It is not enough to open our southern border to the unvetted and unvaccinated but we're now using language to redefine the borders of human sexuality. With no objective reference points, societal norms reduce to mere matters of subjective preference.
