2025 could well be the last time Formula 1 races at Imola, at least for the foreseeable future. Btw, have you memorised the LOOONG name of the iconic Grand Prix? Imola hosts one of the two races in Italy - the other being Monza. But who will the dear tifosi cheer for - an Italian prodigy in Andrea Kimi Antonelli or the legendary Lewis Hamilton racing for the Italian marquee Ferrari? Imola, Monaco and Barcelona - as we get ready for another triple header, look out for the upgrades teams will bring to this race as we start the "European leg" of the 2025 Formula 1 calendar. Apart from Ferrari & Antonelli, who else has an Italian connection? F1's Drivers' Championship leader Oscar Piastri has claimed he has Italian roots and Racing Bulls' factory in Faenza is about 18 kms away from Imola. Did you know? Haas has an office in America, the UK and a design office in Italy! Imola could well offer a turning point in the 2025 Formula 1 season, and Ferrari would be hoping for a less embarrassing outing at home in front of the tifosi. And of course, Franco Colapinto is in at Alpine in place of Jack Doohan. Let's see how he goes! Presentatie: Robert Denneman
Franco Colapinto is set for his Alpine debut after the team sacked Jack Doohan, but there's a lot more going on at chaotic Enstone than just a driver change. This week's host is Tom Maher. You can find Tom on social media. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Jack Doohan out. Franco Colapinto in. Oliver Oakes out. Flavio Briatore in.
Tom Clarkson is joined by F1 correspondent and presenter, Lawrence Barretto, and former Ferrari and Williams engineer, Rob Smedley, to discuss all the big talking points ahead of this weekend's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. Why have Alpine swapped rookie Jack Doohan with Franco Colapinto after just six races? How does this opportunity compare to Franco's nine races with Williams last season? And after the shock resignation of Team Principal Oliver Oakes, what sort of person will Alpine be looking for to replace him? The guys also chat all things Ferrari ahead of their first home race of the season and Lewis Hamilton's first Italian race in red. After their challenging start to the season, are their fortunes likely to change in the upcoming triple header? Having had many similar situations on the pit wall during his career, Rob shares his thoughts on their team orders in Miami and why he thinks Hamilton's team radio was a good sign for the Scuderia. George Russell is just six points behind Max Verstappen in the Drivers' Championship, so is he a title contender? Should Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff give Russell a new contract, even if Max Verstappen is available? Plus, Rob gives his view of Williams' progress over the last 12 months. How do they take the next step of finishing on the podium? F1: starring Brad Pitt Only in cinemas June 2025 Watch the trailer now

In a special edition of the podcast, Dre Harrison sits down with F1 writer Jake Boxall-Legge and News Editor Haydn Cobb to break down two shock stories from Alpine's F1 Team. Last night, Oliver Oakes has resigned as Alpine team principal with immediate effect, with executive advisor Flavio Briatore taking his duties on an interim basis. Flavio released a statement earlier today dismissing rumours that there was a rift between the pair and instead cited "personal reasons" for Oakes departure. Also announced this morning was that Alpine reserve driver Franco Colapinto will be taking Jack Doohan's seat for at least the next five races, starting with next weekend's Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. Dre, Jake and Haydn discuss whether Doohan was unfairly dropped from the team after a rocky start to life in F1, whether Colapinto will be an improvement in the short-term at Alpine, the managerial merry-go-around from Enstone after hiring their sixth team principal in five years, and ponder what could be coming next for a team that seemingly cannot avoid drama. lpine F1 is giving “mid-season drama” a whole new meaning. The long-whispered rumor finally came true: Jack Doohan is out, and Franco Colapinto is in. But just when fans thought that was the big news—boom—Team Principal Oliver Oakes vanishes like Lance Stroll in Q1. His departure caught everyone off guard and has people wondering if Flavio Briatore (the italian Bond villain and mastermind behind Crash Gate) had something to do with it. Was it a power struggle? Creative differences? Or did Oakes just realize managing Alpine is like herding cats at 200 mph? We unpack all the chaos, speculate wildly (but responsibly), and ask the big question: What the hell is going on at Alpine?
In a special episode of the F1 Show podcast, Simon Lazenby, Karun Chandhok and Craig Slater react to today's news from the Alpine F1 Team that Jack Doohan will be replaced by Franco Colapinto from the next race in Imola, and that Team Principal Ollie Oakes has resigned with immediate effect. The F1 Show is a Sky Sports podcast. Florida is known for orange things, mainly oranges. But this weekend it was a slightly different shade that captured all the headlines in Miami as we saw a hugely dominent showing from the Papaya clad McLaren team at the Miami Grand Prix weekend. Taking the top 2 steps on the podium in both the Sprint and Grand Prix races showed that this season the comeback is fully on!This week on the pod we take a look at the Maimi GP raced round the car park of the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Football Franchise (well that's what it said on the official F1 shirts anyway) where Lando & Oscar traded wins across Friday and Saturday with just about everyone else as an also-ran.There's the usual team by team review and look at what the F1 news is at the moment and what will probably come out after this pod's released (come on Tuesday, show us what you've got) with all the speculation from the aftermath of his lap 1 exit that we may have seen the last of Jack Doohan for now in an Alpine.Expect the usual tangents as well and also the return of Dan while Kieren is sunning himself touring the breweries of California! Tom Clarkson is joined in the Jeddah paddock by Alpine Test and Reserve Driver Paul Aron to preview this weekend's Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. What challenges does this circuit provide drivers and teams? Are McLaren still the clear favourites? Or could we see another Suzuka-esque surprise from Max Verstappen? With just three points between championship leader Lando Norris and his teammate Oscar Piastri, Paul draws on his own experience from Formula 2 to explain how being the hunted compares to being the hunter in a title fight. Paul also raced against most of this year's rookies in F2 last year so shares his thoughts on how Kimi Antonelli, Ollie Bearman, Isack Hadjar, Gabriel Bortoleto and Jack Doohan are performing so far. And he tells Tom why Alpine were able to score their first points of the season in Bahrain and how Pierre Gasly has stepped up as team leader this season. *** WIN A £100 F1® STORE VOUCHER, A LEGO F1® COLLECTION BUNDLE + MORE THIS EASTER WITH F1 UNLOCKED Thanks to F1 Unlocked, you can win an amazing F1® Partner prize bundle, which includes: £100 F1® Store voucher, 2025 Miami Grand Prix poster, Puma F1® Racing Jacket, Hot Wheels F1® diecast bundle and a LEGO F1® collection bundle Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity. Mark Mann-Bryans and Jake Boxall-Legge report from Suzuka for Day 2 of the 2025 Japanese Grand Prix, with Friday practice generating plenty of headlines. Jake and Mark talk about the four red flags that disrupted FP2, including two for the grass on the side of the circuit catching fire, a spin into the gravel for Fernando Alonso at the first Degner and Jack Doohan's massive shunt into the wall at Turn 1, where the Australian had his DRS wing still open as he spun off the track. Also included is a discussion on Yuki Tsunoda's first day of running in a Red Bull and what conclusions could be drawn from the limited running, why Isack Hadjar's strong pace is going under the radar, and the latest news that the FIA is planning a summit for a potential change to V10-engines in the future. ‘I wish I could fast forward', says Pierre Gasly. Like all F1 drivers, Pierre is used to things happening quickly. He thinks Alpine will be fighting further forwards in a matter of months, and is impatient to get there. He knows how winning feels. He believes he can do it again. Gasly tells Tom Clarkson about the faith he has in Alpine and its leaders, Team Principal Oliver Oakes and Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore. His aim is to win a race this season, but he's looking further ahead to when F1's new rules may shake up the sport in 2026. There's also talk of Pierre's teammates Jack Doohan and Franco Colapinto, his fitness goals, his desire to win (even when playing online chess) and his off-track investment in French football team FC Versailles.
