Spill vi snakker om i episode 104: Super Mario Bros., Metal Gear Solid, League of Legends, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Overwatch, Half-Life, Multiversus, Ark: Survival Evolved, Resident Evil 4, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Beyond Good & Evil, Hogwarts Legacy, Beat Saber, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe/Live, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, Trigger Witch, Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, Ratchet & Clank, Final Fantasy V.
Connor and Kale discuss Trigger Witch; a top-down twin-stick shooter where witches forget their magic and start solving problems with guns. Blast your way through as you discover a mysterious man that has come through a portal into your world. Merch: https://www.bonfire.com/store/super-clash-store/
Does it physically hurt you to hear the classic Legend of Zelda line at this point in your life? It hurts Shea and, to a lesser extent, Dan just as much, but they suffer through to talk about a game with a truly bizarre adventure in Trigger Witch! This week, the group played some old games, some new games, and had some interesting thoughts about games. Jason had a ‘Trigger Witch moment' with Inscryption and has some mixed feelings towards Guardians of the Galaxy. Matt is Helldiving, F.I.S.T.-ing (PHRASING) and Halo (ing?). In a strange twist, Michaela is surprisingly not feeling Shin Megami Tensei V. Moose is back to Breakpoint as he dove into the new content. We also discuss some news including Hitman 3's 2022 roadmap, GTA's rough week (or two or three), and a few game delays. As always, enjoy the show and we will see you next week. Intro Music: “All Time High” by Colin Fraser Outro Music: “Brightest Hour” by Young President
There has been talk, including on this very program, that 2021 has not had games. I would wholeheartedly disagree on that front. We've had a ton of games and a ton of them have been quite good. I would even go so far as to say that some of them would be shoe-in for game of the year even in years like 2017 which is an outrageous amount of great games. But this year has also had some games that wouldn't nearly make a top 10 list for some people but are fun little diamonds in the rough. I think I talked about one little gem just last week in Trigger Witch and am currently playing another. That got us thinking however, what are some uncut gems from yesteryear and so that listeners is what we plan to discuss for you today.Media Discussed: Halloween Kills Freddy Vs. We've been away from each other for a while. I think it's been almost three weeks since we've all gathered for the show and as such, it's time for our favorite type of episode, the catch up episode. Back to business this week as we discuss games we're playing and the PlayStation event. Moose beat Trigger Witch so of course, we discuss that hard left turn of a final act for a bit of therapy for Matthew. Golf Club Wasteland was given high praise around the room. Michaela briefly played F.I.S.T. (Jason is as well) and loves what she has experience but spent most of her time with Tales of Arise. Matthew made his return to Hades while still plugging away at Demon's Souls. As always, we hope you enjoy the show and have a wonderful week! Intro Music: “All Time High” by Colin Fraser Outro Music: “Brightest Hour” by Young President
It's a Game Club episode this week and we go for a deep dive into Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights from Aglobe, Inc. and Live Wire, published by Binary Haze Interactive. Be ready for spoilers and a bunch of gamers just gushing about how much they love this game. 8 thumbs up and 4 glowing recommendations for this wonderful Metroidvania. We also do some talk about what else we've played. Matthew briefly touches on Trigger Witch and that absurd left turn in the story. He is very confused right now. No spoilers though because Moose is only at the start of the game. As always, we hope you enjoy the show and have a wonderful week! Colin Moriarty has been working in games media for nearly 20 years. Starting as a technical writer for IGN, Colin worked his way up to editor at IGN. Later, he would leave IGN for Kinda Funny and ultimately starting Last Stand Media, Colin has offered valuable insight into the world of gaming for years. In this episode, Colin shares about how reviewing games works, why Super Mario Sunshine is better than Super Mario 64, the hurdles conservatives face within games media, and more. Colin also shares about how his perspective on God has changed since Fireside Chats, where he released a series of episodes interviewing pastors, mormons, and Christians alike. If you have not done so already, you can check out Last Stand Media: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt9BGe6i2lJepl-B_zwX6VA Keep up with Colin on Twitter: https://twitter.com/notaxation Timestamps Housekeeping (5:14) Taking Down A 150+ Backlog of Games in a Year What Have You Been Playing (10:34) Colin gets into Scarlet Nexus' high quality gameplay but agonizing anime tropes after discussing the latest Metroidvania, Elder Lilies. Trigger Witch also gets a fair amount of love in it's unique "Legend of Zelda with guns" style gameplay. Discussion (21:23) We wasted no time getting into the discussion for this episode. Colin spends time discussing how reviews work for video games, as well as his stance on numbered ratings on reviews. We spend some time discussing the shift in culture of games media and ask if a conservative voice can even make it. From there, I ask Colin about his perspective on God, and if it's changed since his series of episodes of Fireside Chats focusing on religion. There were so many games you could play during the recent Summer Game Fest 2021. In fact, there were about 40. Now, I didn't play all of them, but the ones I did get to try were worth discussing in a Psitanium Mine. So, let us discuss card-based battle systems, twin stick shooters, silly names for games, voxel graphics and sailing mechanics.
Hop on board for another instalment of our weekly podcast, but be sure to buckle up your seatbelts and brace yourself for take-off. As you may have guessed, the team are going to delve into Microsoft Flight Simulator in TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 91 as it's now landed on Xbox Series X|S. Don't worry if that's not of interest to you as there's also a spotlight shining on Omno, Paint the Town Red, The Touryst and more. You can expect plenty of discussion regarding the latest gaming news too, including the Activision Blizzard walkout. Your crew for this episode consists of Gareth, Paul, and Richard; all of whom have had a rather eventful week. Aside from a double dose of dreadful hangovers, work has taken one of them all the way up to Scotland, while another was busy spending the winnings earned from betting against England at the Euros. In terms of games they've been playing recently, Microsoft Flight Simulator is obviously the most anticipated of them all and you can finally find out if it's a perfect launch, or whether it suffers from any technical hiccups. Other than that though, you can expect the lowdown on the puzzling adventure Omno, the latest FMV (full motion video) game Night Book, the action packed brawler Paint the Town Red, the newest Watch Dogs Legion DLC, the relaxing platform antics of The Touryst, and twin-stick shooter Trigger Witch. Once you've had your fill of games, it's time to focus on the hottest topics in the gaming world. That leads the trio to chat about the impressive Unreal Engine 5 demo, the fact that the Xbox Series X and S are the fastest selling Xbox consoles to date, and the Activision Blizzard walkout. There's also news surrounding upcoming Netflix game-related projects, the delay to Kena: Bridge of Spirits, and much, much more. Feel free to comment on anything discussed in TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 91 or ask any questions for us to answer in future episodes! As always, full show notes are available over at https://www.thexboxhub.com/podcast

Well, that experiment failed. After trying a few episodes of more focused content, I realized that really would be way more work and require time I do not have, so welcome back the return of smorgasbord episodes. Trigger Witch is a twin-stick shooter where firearms have replaced the magic of a fantasy world. You take on the role of Colette as she unravels the story of this mashup world, a world that writer Jono Pech helped shape. Developed by New Zealand's Rainbite, Trigger Witch takes you to a Super Nintendo inspired world as you unleash carnage. Pixel Sift is produced by Viv Thum, Fiona Bartholomaeus, Daniel Ang & Adam Christou. Mitch Loh is Senior Producer and Gianni Di Giovanni is our Executive Producer.
